- Do you have trouble bring up price? How do you get to the budget quickly while still taking time to listen to the client's problems?
In this video Mo struggles with bringing up budget on a recent call he had with a client so Chris showcases how Mo should've handled the client call. He shares that you should bring up the budget as soon as you have enough information to be able to quote how much the solution will cost.

These role plays are gold! I love the choice of words, definitely took notes
Was just thinking the same
How was this gold? He didnt close, and acted as if there is no competition. 🤷♂️
@@samikhattab he uncovered the client's needs and see if he's the best fit, which is the point. Not every potential client that comes to you has to be closed.
The futur needs a channel for just Role Plays to show all scenerios. Who else here would want this?
I want Chris to role play as client from hell and ask stupid ass questions etc. lol
100%
Helll yes!
What other scenarios would you want a reply on?
chris replies to text: hi hOW mUCh....
XD
I heard Chris got an Emmy. He clearly got it for the wrong profession. This man is a fine actor! Bravo
haha. I go full method.
indeed
Jona asked if we want more and I'm here to say YES. Another great video, crew!
Thanks Nick!
Thanks!
YES YES YES
If there would be a series of just these role plays, I would watch every single one!!! Several times. Practice each scenario with every client I get. Thank you so much for this!
Noted!
Roleplaying can be embarrassing and make many of us feel vulnerable, I have so much respect for you putting this content out there and I'd love to see more content like this. As for this specific topic it's incredibly helpful and logically explained. I cringe thinking back on buying a vehicle from a private seller knowing a price negotiation was coming last, I think this video could have helped me.
If time is the most important and rarest commodity everyone of us has, then not wasting someone’s time is the highest compliment you can give them.
"I don't need to know everything, I just need to know enough."
I think just this can help me be so much better. This is the no. 1 mistake I make in my conversations.
I really love how creative is Chris when it comes to pitching. The way he does it makes a lot of sense.
Appreciate it
Ah wonderful, another roleplay for me to watch 300 times over!
@@Moismai I'll HAPPILY trade places with you Mo 😂😂
I wonder how many people have turned on notifications so as to never to miss the chance to consume the amazing content put up here! How Chris has summarized the main point. Wow... 😁 Such a swift transition into the money talk! So good!!!
Thank you 🙏
I can’t express how helpful these videos are! I’m on my way to generating $20k per month in my business thanks to just asking the right questions on the phone.
Please keep these role plays coming! 👍
congrats! if we've been helpful to your success, consider supporting us.
@@thefutur For sure!
It takes experience to speak like Chris. I think that is the valuable learning point. Chris understands all the scenarios: financial, workflow and outcomes. He is also fearless. He doesn't mind not closing every deal.
you can actually use exact words from roleplay and close the clients! This channel is GOLD literally gold mine
Jona killed it with the edit!
Preciate it Drigo! 🙌🏽
i see you rod
This is an old video. But i just want to compliment Chris, for keeping track of the objectives that she had.
Mo
I work in Sales and this was a really unique but insightful look into a sales call. Took some notes to use.
how would you grade this call?
@@thefutur I am new to sales but I feel like giving it a rating would not do it justice. The way you engage the customer and take control while making them feel like they can trust you. It was next level and I want to be able to learn that skill. If I had to It would be very close to 10. Always room to improve.
I also just have to say your channel is amazing. I took notes and wrote an impact on one video to share the brilliance of this channel.
I came across this video months after it was posted, but I must say it is timeless. Chris, you are the first person who is giving graphic designers self-confidence and worth! These are the basic characteristics of a human being, but in many cases, they are taken away from us by our parents and replaced with insecurities and the conviction of being inadequate. I can write articles and articles about this, but the most important thing I need to say is: THANK YOU! I hope every graphic designer or creative person finds you and takes your words into his/her heart and applies them in their life! So others would always look at us with respect.
Chris is just a a monster, so confident and true to himself
That telling the price part was wow, just the right choice of words. Really I was wowed.
Thank you
Amazing control over the comunication with responsability towards the client.
What an incredibly valuable piece of client management strategy. Get to the point, to the REAL point, right at the beginning with respect and confidence.
Thank you Bob!
This is so good! Chris comes out so natural, firm and clear that it's enviable and amazing at the same time! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much!
This role play brought a perspective to being clear that i just didn’t get completely til now. As a shift supervisor my manager would always say dear is kind, and it just clicked. And how you asked and repeated back the expectations, showed me how to keep from falling into the trap on ‘I Thought you meant’ which kills the trust and possible the deal every time. Thanks for this!
It's crazy how much you can learn from these - it's hard to put into practice but the gears eventually start to turn
These role plays...man...and how words flow from Chris's mouth is just amazing. WOW! wow!
Perfect role play scenario with real time feedback from both Chris Do & Mo 2.0!! Loved this!!
💚💙❤💜🧡💛💚💙❤💜🧡💛
This conversation is golden as well as it could be.
It's all done with this play role
you Will Won. do you get that son.
I LOVE this one! I learn so much every time i watch you! These entrepreneurs keep brining out fivver and Upwork prices drive me crazy.
I love Mo and Chris’ role plays! So good! I wish I had this in my pocket 3 weeks ago! Such great content as usual guys!
I just love the fact that Chris explains every approach used during the rolpelay!
I just now stumbled across The Futur...so obsessed! Thank you Thank you Thank you for all of this knowledge in one place!
😯 😯 Honesty saves everyone's time, but every line is soooooo ( no words) its amazing? Amazing chris as always 🥰
Thank you Thank you
Love the role play. Always learning something new when watching it!
As always a stellar place to learn and grow, improving and reaching mastery.
I love the way you approach your videos using the basic principles behind the topics.
That way anyone knowing and understanding the principles learned from from totally different field of Life or experience, can almost immediately relate, compare and connect the dots to star to see clearly the topic and begin to understand it (even though they might've tried doing it for ages before hand).
What an eyes-opening episode!! I've been working in customer service and sales for a while, always playing the extremely pollite without sounding fake card, it pays off but not on the run as results shows.. Did not know the perception of it would have been completely the opposite!! Extremely valuable content as always guyz!! Gonna apply this right now!!
I just sent a proposal for $5k to $11k! thanks to all your helpful advice! yassssss!! i used to charge $20 an hour. phewww! thankful for these resources!
Good luck. When you land it, send some our way.
@@thefutur eyy! drop the cashapp! XD
This is pure gold stuff.
The universe is amazing I really needed this 🥺💕
This role play is very insightful, I watched this video three times. So much fire!
The colours and light are so lovely in this video. So well shot.
Prequalifying on your landing page / quote page also helps with combatting issues with price.
What do you mean? I’m sorry I’m new to this lol
@@proph7099 Scoping out who you work with and who you don't -- helping your prospect understand the types of clients you do work with and the types you don't work with cuts down on the clients that don't fit.
I loooove this guy with bonnet,
His name is Drigo?
the way he talk....
No one can say NO to him and
get mad at him.
He is so natural.
Did U learnt? It that possible to learn this kinda capacity or they born with it??? 😍😍😍😍
Y'all just gotta appreciate the superb lighting in this studio!!! I loved it. ❤️ And these role plays are gold!!! If we can see more of it come 2021, that will be amazing!!! Amazing work guys as always! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
We will!
You guys are awesome. So thankful to have came across your content. Keep up the amazing job!
Thanks so much!
Awesome stuff Chris, really awesome!! It's funny how you can learn a lesson of a life time in a 16 minute class!
Such practical/implementable skills. Thanks for the value!
Love these role playing sessions! So so helpful!
i love how the company or the client talk with the budget of the project with the customer in real life which is more human form in a role play which initially talk about the real project with media involved.that is an amazing mind trick..!
I love the point about saying, "no, at that price point I can't even refer someone in good conscious" good stuff. Would love to have you on my video podcast Chris.
I really enjoyed this video! It made me realize the correct way to do it.
Man i needed this - role play is so underrated
Super dope! I have to watch this like 10 times to get it to stick. So much nuggets dropped here.
Absolutely love the role plays!
Thank you for this content, I find extremely valuable.
Another one in great format! Please more videos of this format.
I love how this turns out!
Thankyou so much for these. Great help for creatives that find it tough to even be on the phone with a client.
It was full of honesty
What a valuable video! I feel like I just saved myself a world of trouble and wasted time down the road when it comes to having these conversations. Thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful!
I loved this!! Also, can we talk about how cold Jona is with the edit & structure! Let's go!!
My duudddeee. Thank you!! 🙏🏽
I wish some project managers were able to say 'no' to a client when the budget, timeline and work scope is just unacceptable. Thanks for posting this priceless role play video.
Love these role plays 💯💯
I always love these conversations. We don't see this side of the creative-client conversation often - if not at all.
This is the content i subscribed for! Yusss!
I know I'm probably not going to know how to do this just from watching these videos, because this type of stuff can only be learned (applied) through real life experiences, but at least this gets me exposed to these types of thinking i never had before when i tried in the past to negotiate, unsuccessfully, my own photography and videography business.
I love these role plays!
Master sensei! Love the reenactment!😊
The colors look so crispy
Yo that line about getting to the money part and reaction is positive, neutral or negative was 👌🏽 let’s not beat around the bush!
This info has worked out good for me, I don’t come off desperate but more like someone who genuinely wants to help and I end up with the job eventually (when they come back after they saved up their monies)
Powerful stuff! Great exchange. thanks
Great medium ! definitely these roleplays are very informative and awesome ) Definitely helped me to score a couple of projects. Thanks, Futur Team!
Excellent!
great vid y'all, really nice
This is really great information.
Great Content! Keep manifesting great content! Kudos!
Valuable Video for me thanks
Amazing content as always
I really liked the way you people put up the part of wisdom for everyone. I would be grateful to know about how to start for sales pitch provided the condition is that I am new to sales experience and really want to be confident.
Ayyeee jona with the presentiation! Kodak, Look at your mans!
right?
Why cut the video short? I have watched this conversation before and you cut off a truly valuable piece of advice that Chris offers. Words are important. Saying "I have to", indicates a negative feeling toward it. Changing the mindset from "I have to" to "I get to" with regard to discussing money with a potential client is a huge step for some.
thank you for creating content like this.. So helpful Please keep creating these x 1000
This, to me is perfect content. You could tell that even though this was a re-enactment, the dynamic between the two was real. Chris seems to have the neural pathways burned in from years of repeat experiences - so he was in there like swimwear lol. There was more acceptance than resistance on his part. Mo seemed to know intrinsically what the client wanted - you could tell he listened. Maybe empathy and drive to wanna be better caused Mo to invoke "Kristina" so well. Yeah you've heard a lot of it before, but a few years of listening to Chris, mixed with first-hand experience leads you to understand WHY this works so well.
No idea why i decided to do a random monologue...i guess the video resonated. Loving the content guys! You're the gift that keeps on giving.
In there like swimwear. Hahaha
an early Christmas gift from the Futur!
I love these role play videos
Great work
I like this contract he helped me a lot
Chris is s bawse! Great content. Quite masterful.
Yes!!! more role plays please
Dang Chris has a gift! Enjoyed this convo
Thank you for posting these! These have been so helpful, especially when my college does not offer classes on negotiating or interviewing.
You should also read Never Split The Difference by Chris Voss- read it as Chris Do's rec, powerful negotiation techniques.
@@TheClearMediaContent Thank you for the rec! I plan on reading it!
Glad it was helpful!
Chris Voss has a Masterclass that was fun to watch.
Brilliant!
This is great
Mo is super awesome in this role play
He is
I like this. Do make more videos like this
I'll tell you what. I've been learning a lot from Chris. I use it in Architecture and Design and it works. Instead of being too technical, I try to be more understanding and helpful. It gives them a cause to pay. Some clients cherish relationships others just want the right thing done.
They want value.
Excellent Vital.
This is priceless!
So many gems in this chat 🔥👌
Brilliant!!
Appreciate it Samuel!
This particular role playing is effective and I would even agree that taking on low budget clients not only dilutes the agency's reputation and brand BUT, I've personally seen countless agencies here in LA say "I'm sorry we can't work with that budget, but we have so and so we can refer you to" and it's almost always 1-2 guys in a small room in the physical office of the agency acting as a "separate company" to take on the work. Because at the end of the day, $2500 is $2500 they don't have. I'm not saying Chris and Blind do that, but it's way more common than not.
Congrats on ta million subs
Thank you Zello
Just so good
