@@g7edwardo I´m really interested in doing that. I´m just waiting for a better rate between usd and Reais (my local currency, which today is 1 to 6 plus taxes). That makes the price really high for us here right now.
I just gotten WWPM. Few pages in and I'm mind blown. Just shared an excerpt from the book with my friends and I can see how much value it creates for everyone.
I've always thought "who is my mentor? I don't have any" until I found Chris Do. He might not know me but I consider him my mentor. You have taught me and inspired me a lot Chris. Thank you for your work!
I rent Tents For large corporate events. When I started I undervalued my tents so low, and I was always treated like trash and they expected more. Years later I started charging so much more and have noticed a huge difference. Clients treat us with more respect and are very thankful at the end of the event.
thanks for the confirmation that it works..i keep trying to please people by giving services and goods for very low prices but i never get any thanks for it and I'm always broke even though my goods and services are really really geared up well to make the customer really happy i hope life works out Really good for you and anyone you care about
One thing I definitely learned over my 15+ years as a consultant is that price buyers make the absolute worst clients. It's not any malice on their end either, it's just the way they frame the relationship in their head and the value they assign to your services. When price is a major criterion for a client it also usually means that they don't really have the budget for that job to be done really well, so they nickel and dime you to make sure it's always under budget, essentially making their price sensitivity *your* problem. Back when I did monthly contracts, clients paying $1000 a month would drive me insane with constant communications and an eagle eye on how many hours something was taking, but when I started only accepting $5000/mo+ contracts things got a lot easier. Sure, those clients could no longer afford me, but the clients who *could* afford me not only paid me better but also were way less worried about the details of the job - they had a problem, they wanted it solved, and my price seemed fair for that. I ended up seeing that in my personal life as well - when I recently needed a law firm to deal with a pretty stressful problem, their proposal had a list for the different stages of the process and a price for each stage. The price was always a big round number, and you bet I didn't for a second ask them how they got to each number. The numbers seemed fair for the enormity of the problem they were solving for me, and that's all that mattered.
Pricing is always a scary thought for me. "I want to charge more so I don't have to find other clients." "I'm afraid to charge more because what if I won't have any clients!" Pricing is a mind shift that will take the business to higher levels.
As you said - the more value you provide, the more you should charge. That's the way it should be. Pricing is positioning, love listening to you and Blair. 💯🙂
well if you listen carefully the man in the book said you don't even have to provide more value then you already do. Its like when you have someone thats buying you have value their. Like The futur said its a little thank you letter in the form of money.
I like this guy. He gives me the courage to charge what I need to feed myself without guilt. I was brought up under the mindset that it doesn't matter how little one gets paid, as long as you get the job, and if you don't get the job it's because you're being too greedy and you must requote them lower till they accept.
Your legacy will be how you treated your team members. Some clients may remember you, and generally no one is going to remember you for the work you did. Wow. Amazing advice.
After watching this specific video for the 50th??? Time I felt like my ‘1’ like ages ago seemed no longer enough..... There are so many facets here that it’s taken me a year of actual business to start using more than just a few. I have read WWPM 2x so far and the second time 75% more of the book made a lot more sense than the first time when I was completely green. Both this video series and the book (Win Without Pitching Manifesto) are great primers for anyone starting a new business (creative or not).
i've just joined the pro group. I get to join the pro group because my company is flourishing. I get to pay it forward because of all this free content. Thank you Chris. Thank you for taking the leap. The world would notice if the you were gone.
The ice cold gaze that Blair has makes him look crazy as hell and about to murder someone. But man, every word seems like is directed TO ME personally. It is the tone, the stare, the rythm, the seriousness - it connects on a personal level and I love it. Thanks Chris & Blair for helping and teaching the world, I appreciate that.
He really does have present. Chris has pretty good present but compared to Blair he seems like a newbie in how cool and present he is. You get a clear vibe of this is not someone you can mess with.
I had falling of the bandwagon for some time with watching the future content & when you started posting the Shorts it caught my attention & I quickly came to start catching up & I can't believe I was sleeping on all of this gold. This has been provoking
That was breathtaking. Both of you so relaxed and assured. High value just within this conversation as a zen business stream of consciousness 💫 conversation. No cutting corners yet tight as a drum.
I need these conversations. I started focusing on making product videos for Amazon sellers about two years ago and started out as just accepting free product as payment. Then I timidly began asking for 20-40 to make the video. Now I'm up to $125 for a basic video which is likely still too low but each time I raise prices I feel better about doing the work and less resentment about changes and other things.
@@thefutur thank you, I actually been watching for quite a while, and I gotta say, I really really enjoy these videos and I am going through a lot of the phases myself in which I am finding my "ikigie" sorry if I spelt it wrong, and again a lot of these videos are continuing to be very helpful, I'm actually learning from a few now. It's really cool that someone responded back to me.
It's time to skip some rungs on my pricing ladder! Timely for me. I believe I am the best at what I do and it's time to start pricing to reflect that. Thank you for your awesome content!
Excellent exchange amen. Good company is apparently what I've been drawn to... Just before I watched I just priced a product and gave it a round number ending in zeros! It just looked cleaner and the product is a clean product so it made sense. Thanks for confirmation amen. Thanks for sharing, James, Rescue Kitty😺 & Snowvan!
Regarding the price debate: A specific price with a 995 or whatever ending implies just what you said, a discount. Following Blair's idea of charging a premium, in market economics a full round number signifies a premium product. Louis Vuitton will charge 5k for a handbag, not 4995.

Currently I'm reading «The Win Without Pitching Manifesto» and this makes total sense... I'd like to ask, just, if there is a playlist with all this 12 videos? I've watched some, I think I've seen all of the videos, but if I want to just watch this series, do you guys organized it already? I felt that I couldn't find all the parts the other day (I think it was up to the 7th instalment, and just a few without order...)... Is that it? Thanks!
Great episode, thank you! Regarding Blair’s general fee of more zeros vs. Chris’s more specific, we tried both and the specific fee works better for us. I think the application depends on the market, service, and reputation. We’re a relatively young architecture firm so clients feel more at ease knowing there was some basis with the computation. I do agree that fees that feel solid or have more zeros show expertise, but it may apply to companies with more experience.
What about when you’re not yet in demand, and you’re trying to figure out where to position your prices do you go below average, average or above ? It is very true that when you charge more, provided you convey confidence and can deliver, people will generally assume and expect a good product and/or outcome. I believe I have valuable knowledge to share as a holistic lifestyle coach and a few other things I do… I don’t yet know where to position my pricing as I haven’t launched my business, don’t have a lot of sales experience etc… any tips Chris? 🙏🏼😄
Same story in insurance. Too low, I wonder if the co will be in business to pay my loss. Too high, I feel ill never use their full service for what I’m paying
My usual question while watching The Futur videos is: this is for free?!
Right!

Same.
Buy their courses to support them. Worth every penny. The downside? You just can't stop buying because it's so good, til you bought everything.
