Love how Indian art forms are getting recognition worldwide, thanks to Amazon and Zwende. Beautifully captured video, the artisans living in these remote villages are so talented, and getting a platform as such, is amazing. The quote by Werner Voguls - " Whenever your guy says, this might be good, but your mind your head says, maybe next year, do it now", is definitely going to stay with me.
This video itself is a great inspiration! Not only for those, who are working in IT industry but also for every person who is citizen of any Country! It's about preserving beautiful culture using technology!
Hi Chinmay! Thanks a lot for your kind words. We believe technology has a huge potential to save the arts and take them to millions of users across the world.
Many congratulations to Innu and Sujay. This is a great concept and is a unique start-up in every way, right from blending a dying art into a modern society and providing livelihoods for artisans. It also gives a great use case of how cloud computing is playing a pivotal role for start-ups. Good Job Innu and Sujay and am very proud of both of you!! :)
Hats off to the two youngsters ! Obviously their products must be great and bang for the bucks if you can produce a video like this. Any youngster seeing this in India will swell with pride and give him or her tremendous confidence to launch oneself headlong into innovative ideas. This is a world class video and must be showcased by Govt of India to build self belief , shown to training institutes. Congrats Ms Inu and Mr Sujay. The world will be at your feet. Amazed to see fabulous Indian art and how technology helping to keep it alive....Also, Indians must learn how to be humble, polite, and grateful like Werner Vogels.
not only the handcrafts, the artifacts, the village & whole state is so colorful and vivid. It’s an universal problem of how to adapt traditional art forms to modern day tastes and preserve them. It’s not easy to make tech easily accessible to users but these guys have great business idea, and the outsource did great job building application layer. They are even printing the patterns on masks now. Very nice. Hope their business do well.
Kudos to the truly inspiring work by Team Zwende! It is devastating to hear about marvellous Indian art forms being on the brink. Really happy to see fabulous technology companies like Zwende helping in reviving and resurrecting old Indian traditions which deserve global recognition.
About as neat as it was when in reality your people killed and stole from millions of people that trusted you and now only in tech can I find my family. What dreams may be made true by this most wonderful of magic?
Wow! 🙏Fabulous work Zwende ! Helping preserve the centuries old art forms by making it feasible for the artisans as well as accessible to the consumer with the aid of technology. Such a noble & unique initiative. Keep it up. 👍
This is just fabulous. A business model that brings such unique products to consumers and has an uplifting impact upstream, preserving art and enabling artisans. Kudos Zwende! Fascinating story.
Werner, I really really like these videos, I do. But please, you could have given us at least a sneak peek into the technology behind Zwende? I know that wasn't the point, but still :( Grew up in Bengaluru but it wasn't Bengaluru in the video. Seems to have been all shot in Andhra Pradesh. Great video regardless 👍
Super inspiring stuff Innu & Sujay 👌 very proud of what you guys are doing to exhibit the talent of overlooked Indians and to make a better living for them - Sachin (Bhavans)
Well crafted , linking passion to purpose and purpose to impact . This video brings India in the forefront in promoting rich and old art forms. Kudos to zwende high performance team which made this possible . Thank you for AWS for the coverage . Loved every part of it

It's just e commerce website. Don't be so dramatic.as they're talking about creating new artform for young Indian market.what is it about?at most they are designing lamps and purses.how much Gucci handbags cost?? Is there even a comparison??
Not exactly. The feedback and close loop with actual artisans is the key here, which definitely means artisans in villages know more about what urban consumers want - a big gap that they are filling them on! This could be next Gucci, who knows! And their site has option for custom-designing your own product - now that is a far leap from standard “e-commerce” as we call it.

Well, they are an e-commerce company with a motive to save dying indian artforms.
So maybe, it's a little more than Gucci :)
