Found it interesting that Dr. Grande was so blunt about Travis. Usually people treat the deceased w/ kid gloves, like “oh they lit up a room” and “they were the nicest person ever.” Meanwhile Dr. Grande was just like “yeah he was pretty unattractive and shallow”
I appreciate Dr. Grande's speculation of Travis. Don't get me wrong?! However, he was a grown man, and he kept going for the sex.. He was a little full of himself about his "religious beliefs." He was being a hypocrite. His friends even knew, and lightly warned him. He was definitely using her, and probably understood that he was just taking what he wanted. I suppose no one saw a violent, overkill would be an outcome. Let this be a lesson, people. It could happen to either sex. I knew a person that wanted to be with me, and was married. He insisted vaginal sex was a no-no it was apparently okay to do just about everything else. 🤮 Luckily, I'm not insane or borderline personality or a murderer. I knew when he said that to me, what HE was all about. Excellent video, and speculation by Dr. Grande. Travis wasn't an angel. No, he did NOT deserve to be slaughtered.
I don't think that he was "unattractive and shallow" at all. This was a young dude in his first ongoing sexual relationship and it's pretty hard to see things clearly.
Totally completely agree. I had a gf once who was crZy. Lucky she lived 300mi away. On Saturday she said I can’t live without u. On Sunday she broke up with me, because I live too far away. I was happy.
This was a very objective take on the case. Both Travis and Jodi contributed to the disastrous outcome of this relationship, if Travis was thinking straight, he would have bolted from the relationship long before it became toxic. People are kinder to Travis simply because he died in such a horrific manner.
True ,Jodi was a psyco and Travis sure stringed her along and kept her for sex knowing they r not compatible ,don't want to have kids or marry .If its casual sex both people should be casual .Jodi was highly obsessed with him and wanted to be the only one .
Travis also overcame a difficult childhood, and seemed to have some kind of deep sexual conflicts. Jodi? Umm, her inner conflicts ended in violent retribution, it seemed.
The mistake Travis made is the same mistake most single men would make. Even if you know the chick is a gold digger you'll still engage for the hell of it because why not? The real problem is Jodi, she spent all of her life chasing aspirations & never completing her goals. She thought by sleeping with a guy who accomplishes his goals maybe some of those attributes would rub off on her. Weird enough the only desire he encouraged her to accomplish is murder.
Moral of the story: Ladies, never settle for a man who doesn't fully appreciate you. Gentleman, when a woman shows you she's batshit nuts... believe her.
@@antoinettegeiselman1539 . If you think your comments degrades the comment of @Tara B. You are the one that needs to do a little more self accessing. Her comment was simply true.
Very true. ..a person has to love mentally and physically...also emotionally..you can't get by...not being authentic person...she had mental problems, right from the beginning......she got by being pretty....only..
@@WhiteMousse1980 she’s right but you are too. That statement both sides it. He may have been toxic for her too but what’s the point of saying it, right? He was brutally murdered.
@@WhiteMousse1980 how on earth do you come up with that nonsense? Not for one minute did it appear that was what Dr Grande was doing. He was presenting a non-biased well-rounded analysis based on facts alone. Sometimes it hard for people like you to understand that not all murder victims are perfect angels. They are normal people with shortcomings like the rest of us a lot of the time. Not once did Dr Grand come across like he was "siding" with the perpetrator, in fact he never does in his presentations, he is simply giving a professional opinion after many many years of study, research AND experience as a therapist. It amuses me when lay people make sweeping statements and think they know more than someone with Dr Grande's experience and credentials.
@@carriefawcett9990 Yes well said. So many people here jump on/attack you for making comments they don't like. The truth is the truth, regardless if murderer, victim etc. Dr G is 99.99% on target on most cases😉
The woman wanted a serious relationship and marriage. He did too, just not with her, yet he opted to keep having sex with her. They both manipulated each other. The man didn't deserve to die but it's not okay to play someone repeatedly. If you don't want someone, cut it off. No need to keep the hope alive or just push them to snapping.
Meh, she was and remains a drama Queen. She could have just as easily broken things off as he could yet she didn’t. She played him as much as he played her. As far as Jodie wanting a serious relationship that is speculation. Her idea of serious relationships seems to be drama fueled. It sounds to me like a regular relationship was too boring. Instead the highs and lows of the endless breakups and reconciliations is what she liked. Once the butterflies wore off the only way to keep the high is from relationship drama. And she found it with this guy. He was a jerk, no question, but she wasn’t being led down some primrose path.
Gotta say this is the first balanced presentation of the JA case I've watched. Rather than focus only on JA we get a clearer picture of Travis and the dynamics of their affair.
I agree. While he didn't deserved what happened to him he contributed to a bad situation. I've been married for some time but I can still remember those women who you realized early on were going to be trouble and you ran from them just as fast as you could. I'm sure women out there have had the same experiences with certain men. She was pretty and willing and he used her instead of realizing that she was unstable, or maybe realizing it but not caring because she let him do whatever he wanted to her. You avoid those kind of people, you don't take advantage of them, because every once in a while they turn a bite.
I love this take on their relationship. I never bought the narrative that Jodi was simply some deranged psychopath- she had/has major issues obviously and is far from healthy, but Travis definitely used her and I would say treated her horribly. Nobody deserves to die the way Travis did but painting him as some innocent bystander is ridiculous.
@@nowirehangers2815 Well, no, she did something evil, but she was a desperate, obsessive mess. Name one evil thing she did before that? The thing with her brother? Yea, you can probly find that in many families. She nuts, Dahmer is evil along with a long list of others.
Yeah but she could have just shot or strangled him, even if he was a bit shitty it’s hard to feel bad for someone who was stabbed almost 30 times *and* nearly had their head sliced off
@@nowirehangers2815 you have such a simplistic way of looking at it- probably how you (ans multiple others) look at the world: black/white, good/evil, etc etc.... to each their own
Dr. Grande, you hit all the points I've always felt about this couple. You didn't just paint her as some evil succubus. They both had problems that contributed to an abusive, toxic relationship. Of course, what Jodi did was inexcusable no matter what he did to her, but he was not a good guy to her. He used her and led her on. And the anal sex , how Christian of him to find that work around. It's not the anal sex + it was him having his cake and eating it, too.
I am so glad to hear you talk of their joint culpability for this toxic co-dependant relationship. I am sick of being told that Travis Alexander was an angel fell to earth. He was no better no worse than many selfish young people and surely did not deserve to die for his mistakes but he was no angel.
he probably fell for these other girls and wanted to marry them because they didn’t sleep with him and travis kept Jodi on a string which doesn’t excuse violent murder but it def was a reason she was set off.
I agree. What happened to Travis is horrific and I do not want to take anything away from her heinous crime. But to place all the blame on Jodi is perhaps a little unbalanced. Jodi was imbalanced. She wanted Travis and was sent mixed messages. Travis was using Jodi for purely sexual pleasure but Jodi still held out hope that she could somehow get this man to marry her. Neither one was able to be objective. Travis should have told Jodi he was only using Jodi for sexual gratification and ended things. But instead,, he led Jodi on and in her mind, she thought sex was the way into creating a relationship with Travis. The day Jodi murdered Travis, Jodi had sex with him believing she would change Travis' mind about taking another woman to Mexico. In Jodi's mind, hot sex had the power to control a man and when she found out this wasn't the case, she snapped and went into a rage. At that moment she likely felt used and felt she had lost any control over this man. She suddenly flew into a psychopathic rage and lost complete control. She wanted to destroy this object who she once had loved so dearly. And she did. This case is so sad to me. I think a lot of people demonize Jodi and that is understandable. The murder was brutal. But can a person be driven to murder? In some cases, yes. I don't think it excuses Jodi in any way and I think her sentence is just, but I can see there were a series of circumstances that led up to this. I hope, if nothing else, both men and woman can learn from this. I hope those in the lds church do not promote a culture where it is okay to use non Mormon woman for sexual gratification while waiting for the "right" virgin to come along. I hope that men and women realize a toxic relationship can become dangerous and will seek help before anything close to this ever happens again.
@@kam0406 well said! I don’t blame lds or any religious group for any of the people’s actions. There are bad apples in any group. I’ve known a bunch of guys like Travis. Not excusing her at all, but he was emotionally selfish.
@@No-nl8jn she didn't have to do it. But in a person who already is dealing with a fragile self image and uses her sexuality to get love, the rejection sent her into a rage. Travis should not have been toying with this person. It was cruel to do that. Still, no human being deserves to be murdered in cold blood like that. I can understand there was a dynamic they both created and unfortunately, Travis paid the ultimate price.
Agree. He of course should not have died but it is obvious he used her and led her on to think they could have had a future together. Not victim shaming, but he holds some responsibility in the situation.
Not really. It gets annoying to people to hear the words 'victim blaming' when a bpd or some other sadist gets murdered, but with Travis suddenly many of those same people suddenly are more ready to point fingers.
I remember that Jodi Arias made a direct appeal to the jury that she not receive the death penalty. She talked about all the good she would do if she was allowed to serve life in prison. She rabbited on about her claims of having survived abuse, and held up a T Shirt which read 'Survivor'. The irony of a convicted murderer holding up a shirt bearing that word was lost on her.
Second hand embarrassment doesn’t even begin to explain how hard that was to watch. As Jim Can’t Swim said, she has possibly the most intolerable personality on the planet.
I worked with a guy that had a crazy little sister. She was 14, and kept stealing his motorcycle. He hid the 🔑 to the bike, and so she plunged a straight blade screwdriver into the ignition and took off. The police called him from the side of I-20 to tell him they found the bike, and his sister was taking a ride to Juvenile Hall.
Unpopular comment for the sake of reality: I was born and raised into the Mormon church and left in my late 20's. Being raised in this culture seriously distorts your ability to understand or relate to finding a healthy path to normal sexuality. Sexual abuse is rampant (I endured child sexual abuse myself and my abuser served a full 20 year prison sentence) even avoiding that level of trauma, taking about sexuality related subjects/issues is beyond taboo in the LDS church. *Questions about sex are usually limited to doctrinal or procreative matters* Mormons are often raised in a way that leaves them sexually stunted in terms of pleasure, but encouraged to "procreate with very little boundary". It's a very confusing lifestyle that perpetuates a sexual abusive nature, in my opinion.
@@christystewart4567 Not really. Sexual Morality is taught by all the major Abrahamic Religions. Without sexual morality being practiced you cannot hold together a marriage and a family. Which is God's purpose for sexuality, to establish families and marriages in a state of stability and love. Worked for my forefathers. Enduring marriages, with a closeness rarely seen in modern relationships.
Travis felt trapped. In his writings to her he said he couldn’t get away. He felt disaster was coming. She delivered it. He wanted to continue using her while trying to find a suitable wife. She made a fool of herself in front of his LDS friends. He couldn’t marry her due to clinging, crazy behavior. Both of them were disturbed. He predicted that she would kill him. What a trap both got themselves into.
I attended BYU-Idaho in Rexburg. I met many young men like Travis. They like to have a behind the scenes chick while courting an LDS girl publicly. Some of them purposely pick converts or girls who aren't serious about the church to have on the side. I suppose it's easier to talk a girl into sexual activity if she doesn't come from a solid LDS family. Travis absolutely did not deserve to be butchered and I hope he and his family find some semblance of peace. However, guys like Travis are fairly common amongst that scene and he picked the most wrong woman to be his "side piece".
BS, she called him from the LA area on her trip, knowing he would invite her over, she did not show up uninvited. He wanted to bang before his cruise. Even after she would cut his tires and whole list of other shit, he would still call her for pussy or take her calls, so no, you're flat wrong, she wasn't a stalker, her presence was very wanted.
I've been in the same position as jodi, I was a side piece while he was looking for "marriage material" ladies. I wasn't even aware because we lived in different cities and i worked full time while he had no fixed job and lived off his parents. When things started to get fishy and i tried to get away he would pull me back and then drop and then comeback while trying to convince that my anxiety was overtaking and I was "imagining things". It was horrible, every other week would have confrontations where he would try to gaslight me and i would start another week of work drained. He messed so much with my head that i ended up sick, lost my job, my apartment, and on my way falling down he discarded me like shit. Unlike Jodi I became severely depressed and suicidal, locked in a mental ward and kicked out of his country and guess what? They wanted to give me a BPD diagnosis. It's a horrible feeling to be used and lied and played just for his entertainment because for some reason i wasn't good enough him, but enough for his emotional and sexual needs. People have feelings, emotional pain hurts as much as physical pain and this case could have ended with my own death, but he definitely ruined my life, my self esteem, my sense of reality. with jodi and travis case both lives were lost. He's dead. She'll spend the rest of her life behind bars. Don't use people and their feelings
This is one sad, sad case. I'm still amazed and horrified at the level of violence that Jodi inflicted on him. Shocking and horrible all around. On a much brighter note, the shirt you are wearing is in a wonderful color for you. You look great in those deep jewel tones.
Give me a Freaking Break in Life! " amazed and horrified"... I'm amazed and horrified that you would use those lame adjectives, then kiss up to Dr G in the same post. Weirdo...
I think Travis was jus as toxic as Jodi. All he wanted was someone to make all his sexual fantasies come true. He never saw her as a future wife, and sadly she did see him as a future husband.
THANK YOU!!! People have looked at me like I'm a monster for saying it but Travis was TWISTED! The teachings of the Mormon Church have A LOT to do with with his behaviors (I used to be a member). It was so easy for him to use her for sex and to stroke his ego but treat her like (and believe) she was not worthy of him because she wasn't a good Mormon girl. The thing about people who treat others like that is that one day you're going to mess around with the wrong person....literally.
He should have told her to not convert to mormonism because he wasn't going to marry her either way, but he wanted to play her. I don't feel sorry for him.
@@deeandrews7051 Look at his autopsy photos and tell yourself again you're not sorry for him. His throat was cut from ear to ear, you can look inside his throat & 27stab wounds & 1 gunshot to the head. Nobody who did what Travis did deserves to die because of that & especially not in that manner. His MLM job and religion concerned me much more than what he did with Jodi tbh.
I like how Dr Grande was able to be honest about Travis, who was a hypocritical, manipulative person in his own right and was the cause of his own downfall. Great job!
First time ever!! Both purple plants are out at the same time. I was beginning to wonder if they were fighting over the cream pot, but they both have one. It’s also possible both purple plants are divas & don’t work well together.
Just to make this clear; I'm not victim blaming. Travis Alexander did not deserve to be murdered and that is that. I do question what he thought would end up happening; Travis was aware of Jodi's obsession with him and her insecurities, and Travis himself was very emotionally abusive and manipulative towards Jodi. Again, he didn't deserve to be murdered and I certainly wouldn't expect him to think that Jodi murdering him was a possibility, but he must have known that this wasn't a healthy relationship and yet he continued to see her while displaying behavior that is antagonistic and would cause psychological harm to the person he is inflicting it on. It's like playing with fire in my opinion. RIP, Travis.
I mean, when a woman dates a guy that ends up killing her we don't say things like "Not blaming her but she was aware that he had insecurities and was obsessed with her. She was playing with fire." We just say "what a piece of shit that guy is; throw away the key." And nobody thinks it's appropriate to discuss what sexual positions the victim enjoyed in open court.
@@jayteegamble I think I understand what you were getting at even though it doesn’t apply to me. Do you mind elaborating on your point? @@courtneycallen Yes, although I think the even bigger bias is that it is so hard for us to see men as victims. Our minds have to constantly empower male victims and give them some agency. This is from us all living in a patriarchy (yeah, i'm a pretty-serious feminist). The result is that we don't feel much empathy for male victims, instead we focus on what actions they took that led to their victimization.
So, if your kid did that, you can't think of what to do about it other than call the cops, risk ruining their whole life, and place them under house arrest, or cheer them on for their entrepreneurial spirit? Huh. I could think of other stuff.

I thought it was interesting that Travis was a higher up in an MLM. I wonder if there is a personality profile of someone whose occupation relies on recruiting people (humbots) to do your their work and pay them while 98% of the time the humbots never see a dime.
Recently met someone in that "line of work"... Fast - talker, very superficial, ended up exhibiting extreme controlling, oppositional, and aggressive behaviors. Life goal seemed to hinge around a certain obsession that was very self-gratifying and sensory by their own admission -- no, it wasn't sex. Put on good theater of "wanting to care/love". Also, thick pretense of religious piety but stated, "God knows I am a man with needs, he will give me grace" regarding pre-marital sex. Extremely manipulative, relished in double-standard arrogance/entitlement bc "he is a pious man.". I realized in the end given his lack of ability to manage his emotions and lack of social-emotional intelligence, plus verbal & physical aggression to me and extreme acting out (dangerous driving) that he is a toxic mess.
What I found telling and chilling was Jodi's last words to Travis' family: "I do remember the moment the knife went in his throat and he was conscious..........he was still attacking me".
In my opinion they both used each other....😏 I watched most of the trial and I always felt that Travis had a very conflicted relationship with his own sexuality. This reminds me of a famous quote by Saint Augustine- “Lord, give me chastity and continence, but only not yet.” This is a fascinating case and there is just so much to reflect about their relationship, thank you for sharing your thoughts.❤️
@@PInk77W1 I know Augustine became a Saint. I spent 12 years in Catholic school. I have read Augustine's writings, and I find him less than inspiring, to put it nicely. I didn't know that St. Monica was his mother. I appreciate you telling me that! Thank you 😊
I was in a relationship like this. Thankfully I got out before one of us killed one another. He did stalk me and try to run me off the road in my car. I also pulled a knife on him because he was abusive. I am so glad I finally found the strength to leave.

I was waiting for Todd's analysis of pathology and personality because I like to compare impressions. She seems to demonstrate traits from all the cluster B disorders, but most of all BPD. From what I can tell she seems to be mid/high in openness to experience, low in conscientiousness, high in extraversion, low in agreeableness, and fairly high in neuroticism. But it would be interesting to see Dr Grande do a video on how mental illnesses are influenced or effect the presentation of personality. Especially cluster B ego disorders. I could see how they could compromise the integrity of someone's "true" personality.
He did a video on Jodi going over the theory of Jodi being given a diagnosis of BPD (it was one of her diagnosis’ given during her court ordered evaluations by the states expert psychologist) Dr. Grande essentially says that bpd doesn’t really fit. Says there is an old joke. Have three psychologists interview one person, and you’ll obtain three different diagnosis’. @@heavyfeather0100 To be honest, I think PD-NOS would probably have been the most likely to be accurate. Those NOS diagnoses are used when it's pretty clear that there's some kind of PD but none of the specifically defined PDs really fits.

Thank you! I've watched the whole trial, and this is the first analyzes that I think actually makes sense. Jodi being so super vilified (something she undoubtedly made easy) and Travis portraid as somewhat of a saint whose only "sin" was to like sex never made sense to me. Although, her actions; killing him the way she did, are so horrible they kind of give him a free pass.
When I found out the news that Jodi Arias was baptized in my mission I was completely shocked. Then I heard about this horrible story that happened in my hometown...Mesa, AZ. I looked up her baptism picture, and saw the two elders. I knew both of them as well. I still wonder what those two fellas think when they heard this story.

Thank you for daring to tread where so few do when discussing this case. Jodi Arias was (is) as mad as a box of frogs but Travis Alexander was not a saint either. I hate the way victims are deified in death. Travis' toxic and manipulative behaviour in his personal life irrefutably played a massive part in the reasons behind his tragic demise.
Damn this was great. It really showed how Travis played a role in this as well. I always felt 100% on Travis’ side like Jodi basically was a predator and controlled him with sex and he was helpless. But it seems more clear now that he should have made better decisions as well. Of course he didn’t deserve to die and Jodi is still 99% of this whole situation. But thanks for reminding us that it takes 2 to tango!

Either way he did not deserve to be murdered. Keep in mind he tried to break it off with her but she kept on trying to pursue him. Most men will give in to sex with an attractive woman. There's a lot of men who use women for sex. Most women normal women move on and not murder them.
@James Rossi she used sex, but hoped this was the key for more. Sbe wanted a life with Travis. For her, she was trying to use sex to get a relationship and stability in her life.
@@MySweetAriane this is very true. But he reached out to her as well. It was both of them. She was using sex as way to get Travis to commit to a relationship.

Having sex with a person you are emotionally connected with isn't using sex to manipulate. If she wanted to manipulate she would withhold sex, not keep giving away.
Dr Grande is the real VIP!!! Really, such a brilliant, down to Earth guy. The Travis analysis was very deep and insightful. Travis wasn’t ‘bad’ looking - I would say average . But was Jodi REALLY so beautiful? I think she did look good, but only in a fairly average way too, They don’t ‘look’ like an odd mismatched couple to me 💁♀️
It's difficult to have open discussions about these things bc often it seems we accused of "victim shaming/blaming", when the reality is we're only trying to assess the ppl's backgrounds and things which may have led up to the tragedies. IMHO, it's rare that there is only one person who is dysfunctional in these relationships. Again, I am *NOT* blaming the victim, merely making an attempt to see what might have contributed to the attraction & signs we ALL can look out for.

Jodi had an obsession with a lifestyle - a lifestyle Travis didn't grow up with either but could give her.
Nothing he did justified being treated that way though. She was a monster who was eventually going to blow up on someone.

@Char Hutchinson YEP!! I do believe that she was pushed to snap.

Yes and I find it very refreshing.
This was excellent. I always wanted someone to tap into his psyche. She’s nuts for sure, but he kept playing with her.

Thx for being open about what really happens
Thank you for your honesty. I hope your pain is gone
Unfortunately this is true of many Christian denominations.
This would only be an unpopular comment if the audience is predominantly Mormon
@@christystewart4567 Not really. Sexual Morality is taught by all the major Abrahamic Religions. Without sexual morality being practiced you cannot hold together a marriage and a family.
Just to make this clear; I'm not victim blaming. Travis Alexander did not deserve to be murdered and that is that. @@PInk77W1 I know Augustine became a Saint. I spent 12 years in Catholic school. I have read Augustine's writings, and I find him less than inspiring, to put it nicely. I find him very problematic and many of his attitudes go to the core of why the Catholic Church has not ever held themselves accountable to the standards by which they judge others.
Good for you & Thank God you removed yourself!!! I feel for you & I am Happy you’re doing better!! 😃❤️👍✨🙏💯
I was also in a mentally, spiritually, psychologicaly and physicly abusive relationship in my early twenties, where I had fears of my thoughts that I could have killed that person, but I moved city, then country to escape and started a new life. I was also at fault. It takes two to tango.
I thank Jesus I have met my loving, kind, beautiful husband 11 yrs of loving peaceful marriage, 17 beautiful years.
The best analysis of this case I’ve ever seen so far! Very balanced, objective and factual. Perfect!
I thought so too. I followed this trial too.

Jodi Arias seems to check all the boxes for borderline personality disorder.
Travis sounded like a serial dater. I wonder how many women he told could be the one👰🤵
Absolutely no way she was borderline. Way too controlled. Also can’t be borderline and psychopathic, they contradict each other.
He did a video on Jodi going over the theory of Jodi being given a diagnosis of BPD (it was one of her diagnosis’ given during her court ordered evaluations by the states expert psychologist)
Dr. Grande essentially says that bpd doesn’t really fit. Says there is an old joke. Have three psychologists interview one person, and you’ll obtain three different diagnosis’. State hired psychologist: bpd
Defense psychologist: ptsd/ personality disorder NOS
@@heavyfeather0100 To be honest, I think PD-NOS would probably have been the most likely to be accurate. Those NOS diagnoses are used when it's pretty clear that there's some kind of PD but none of the specifically defined PDs really fits.
Dr. Grande, have you seen the JCS Criminal Psychology video called "The Wrath of Jodi"? I think it might be one of the best videos the channel ever made. Excited to hear your coverage on the topic also.

That he does not make Travis a saint, nor Jodie completely cold and inhuman, it’s like he has the ability to see both sides , even though
Taking a human life is clearly as wrong as can be. We have all been hurt , we never did this. But he tries to understand.
Jodi strikes me as a severe borderline personality disorder, a person to avoid even under the best of conditions.
Borderline and Narcissistic and Sociopathic combination. They come in clusters.
@@maidenmarian1 you're so right and it's like making a personal and interpersonal bomb
She reminds me of Diane Downs. Her chit chat runaway mouth talking non stop through her interrogation, along with her evident emotional disconnect, especially when she asks for crime scene photos of Travis' body to satisfy her "morbid curiosity" all whilst she's still denying any involvement! Sheeesh and she thought she was gonna walk on out the cop shop as she'd charmed the pants off the Detective. Crazy deluded woman, good job she's locked up for life. Shame someone lost their life for that to happen. 😞

LUCKLY MY SON GOT OUT BEFORE ANY THING WORSE,
Would you suggest that they both had narcissistic characteristics? I know two people in a similar relationship of superficiality, who both claim the other won’t “leave”. It’s mind boggling. But they both seem to hold themselves in high esteem yet from the outside they both look insecure. Thanks Dr Grande!
Yes I agree...they both had narcisistic and cruel tendencies ...
....obviously he was playing with fire..l
..and I agree some people are bonkers ..
They knew they were bad for each other ..
..but lust , ssx and adventure survived .

I am not a doctor, but I am a daughter of a father who was diagnosed with Narcissism.
with my lack of formal psychiatric medical education/knowledge in mind, I would speculate that this could have been a potential possibility.
Yes I was thinking the same thing. She stalked him and his fiancé. She would break into his house. Many narcissists don’t respect boundaries.
"she stabbed him 27 times...and shot him in the head...he did not survive"...what a surprise
And sliced his throat. Yeah, he did not survive😟
A small percentage actually survives stuff like that
It's funny that her story was that she shot him in the head in self defense, but he still came after her so she stabbed him 27 times in self defense.

Travis was a "devout Mormon ". Any sexual activity, before marriage, is strictly banned. What a pity he didn't obey the LDS rules.

Loved this one. What she did was brutal but Travis was a narcissist & control freak too, sending abusive texts. This case will always remain interesting. Thanks Dr G😊💌💜
I wouldn’t say that TA was unattractive….he was attractive enough that with other redeeming qualities that he could attract a mate.
I completely agree
‘attract a mate’ i-
Damn this was great.

Overall they were totally right about her being bad news, though. She isn’t a good person and I think they saw that soon after they initially told him she was too pretty for him.
Did y’all see the Netflix movie? “Jodi arias: Dirty little secret” - check it out if you haven’t. They definitely took a lot of erm, “dramatic Hollywood liberties”, but it *seemed* (for the most part) to be slightly more accurate than the tabloid sob stories painting Travis as this perfectly innocent Saint that was “lead astray” and corrupted/taken advantage of by this Jezebel succubus of a woman named Jodi...
Wow, this had more details than I expected. Thought I knew everything about this. Can always rely in Dr Grande.
She made up so many lies it's hard to get a hold on what was actually going on. And she made sure Travis would never be able to tell his side of the story. Thank you so much for your thoughts on this Dr Grande!💙💙

Travis was a F-boy to the max and she has multiple issues. Match made in hell. He just kept using her and messing with her unstable mind and....disaster
I’ve replied this on several comments: Watch the Netflix movie! “Jodi arias - dirty little secret” (appropriately titled).
@@kam0406 He used sex! Sex is a bonding activity in a woman's brain. They feel more and more attached to a partner by engaging in intercourse with an excluding partner, continously.
She probably understood that travis felt the same. She would be using sex if she had no feelings for him and were just after other benefits.
We tend to see these things through a one sided mirror , but he really painted a very vivid and plausible picture into the depth of these characters. I say characters because we view them that way, sometimes forgetting these are real people, with real lives. Real issues, real personalities....these videos and articles about them is only a piece of their lives. I think the Doc was spot on about them, ESPECIALLY TRAVIS. Well done.
Hope you're having a great day, Dr. Grande! ❤️

Travis didn’t seem to be as mature as other men his age. I think his traumatic childhood damaged him and he was trying to overcome it.
