GBU's (especially small ones) get absorbed by top of the tanks for about a year. So best tactic is to either have a 1 second fuse so the bomb bounces or to aim to the side or engine deck of a tank. That's almost always a kill.

Optimal ground rb loadout could be 4GBUs, 2mavericks and 2 AIM9M (not 6 gbus because then it would be too heavy)
Too heavy to fly? Or too heavy to VTOL?
At that point I think a 3 GBU + 3 AGM-65D loadout would be better, 3 quick to get off mavericks and 3 more reliable but slower to use weapons. Though idk if that's allowed due to wing imbalance.
@@sushislav Should still be able to fly, I mean in the video Mat is carrying 10 GBU-12s, a Maverick is less heavy than a singular GBU-12, so a 2 mav + 6x GBU-12 should be possible. VTOL already becomes not possible with some lighter loadouts I think, might only maybe support 2 1000 lbs bombs (1000 kg extra weight) before you cant do it anymore and that's with the WEP, I don't really remember so I could be wrong.
But what he meant is optimally, you don't want your aircaft to be too heavy, so you can turn better, accelerate faster, etc. Because often you probably won't get off 6 GBUs in a game, it just takes too long, so 4 is often practially the same and you don't get the extra dead weight as result. Of course when the opportunity arises for you to actually drop 6, well then you will hate yourself for only bringing 4 of course...

I gotta say I really appreciate you acknowledging this plane has the best place in battles like this, not Air RB. I noticed back when the A6E came that the enemies were wiping the floor with them. Big-name content creators got in on ARB battles and got annihilated and just trashed the plane in review videos. Same thing with A7K. Like what did they think was gonna happen? They're coming off like the kind of people who would fly out a C47 against an F16C and tell us how dogshit of a plane the C47 is. Its sad, really. So thanks Mat!
11:50 dude same thing has been happening to me with the 27ER tho in all my games I've never gotten just a hit from a 27ER and a kill assist later I was so mad
Also the bottom of the aircraft it looks like it has a false canopy on it lol, right by the nose wheel bay

My friend have the same issue, and it seems that this fps drops have to do with obs conflicting with warthunder
I might expect gaijin consider add GBU-38(V)2/B JDAM, GBU-54/B Laser JDAM, AGM-65E Maverick and AGM-65D repalce by AGM-65F on AV-8B+ from Italian next month

@@lordbumpy3634 well as far as I saw, the US One has all of them besides GBU10, ALARM, AIM132 ASRAAM, AGM65G2. Those are the only unique weapons that were seen on the Italian AV8B+. At the same time, the USA One used a laser guided version of the Hydra 70 mm rokets that only It Will get.

The US was the primary developer of the Harrier 2. The UK backed out then purchased the Harrier 2
The US didn't help design the av8b the US designed the av8b hawker siddeley pulled out of the project before the design phase began the harrier two and sea harrier are variants of the av8b
Really hope minor countries get some arsenal upgrades REAL soon, the way top tier is now riddling and over run with R73s and 9Ms, quite disappointing for most that are not US or USSR players
Once again a leet top tier player cries and moans that their chosen aircraft is underpowered as it "only has four missiles and a tiny (25mm !) gun". Meanwhile Mirage players dream of having more than three 1970s era missiles...
Th AV-8B is a support aircraft - that is literally what this version of the Harrier was designed to do - why the hell would anyone expect that it could take on top of the range F-16s and MiG-29s in a dogfight or BVR engagement ?
Anybody else feels like getting like 1/3 less rp per game?

@@fate3071 rb especially sim it feels less than before but im not so sure
@angespuckt in air RB they reduced RP awarded for getting player kills and increased RP for playing objectives. (Base bombing, ground targets, etc)

A US jet that the us probably will never get because why not.
China had some US aircrafts that US itself dont had, Germany got some Soviet aircraft that russia dont had
They grouped the A-7s so probably the US will get it next update

US should've gotten it by now, but you cannot really complain after getting showered with new jets for the past many updates
