It doesnt seem to engage you at all if you havnt killed any ground units and have no ordinance on. The second you make a pass at one though all hell breaks loose
@@ovrwrldkilerI was using the Yak-28B and only dropped on a base minutes prior to beginning to get lit up by AA. I’m used to dodging them though, so I don’t usually die to them unless it’s a sudden burst while I’m doing something else.

I fucking love the new weather. Like genuinely changes the atmosphere of any map.
It's pretty cool, the extreme fog is annoying in maps like Afghanistan though. We need terrain mapping if they want to do that.

@@ThePppp89 and spain!!! I had an absolute nightmare time in that map today cause the fog was completely hugging the ground but the early game PHOENIXES were coming and so I had to hug the ground myself, between the mountains while seeing absolutely NOTHING

Yeah, the fog actually gives planes without flares a chance, 3 f105s got past my sight in a sigle match, only when they were 4km away behind me i noticed, the fact i had the sea harrier meant that before the update i would've gottem, i think they made it through the whole match even
I used to play a lot of AV-8B back in the days of the old Jane's USNF '97. Fun times.

It's only gonna get worse tbh. As we move into BVR style aircraft they get really really fat to carry all that ordinance and avionics and such.

These Harriers have surprised me many times whilst playing the F-16, even thought it's just regular harrier gameplay, the thrust vectoring can still do some magical stuff when coupled with the better engine and wings.
When done correctly, not many things can beat you in a rate fight

I wish I could get sneaky with thrust vectoring, but every time I've played the Harrier since the new larger maps were added my whole team is dead before I can even get to anybody! It always ends up a 1v3+
That dogfighting technique was developed by Sea Harrier squadrons in the Fleet Air Arm (air wing of the Royal Navy). I'm not sure they ever used it in action though.

@normallymute0131 the fact my gr.7 have 700 countermeasures and is one of the most Maneuverable jets probably makes me an undesirable target. Then I just sling aim9ms at unsuspecting jets.

I recommend to use flaps before of TVC, TVC should be your last option in dogfights, not the first, if you use firts TVC and then Flaps 1st flaps will be useless at such low speeds and 2nd you will not have that trully sick high speed turn of the Harrier.
will you give a try on the clipped wing spitfires like the Spitfire F Mk. XVI? I think its a pretty good rounder plane at a terrible B.R in my opinion.

Yeah they shoved shiny new aircraft in our faces. Yeah they reduced research and cost for SOME vehicles.
But they added low clouds, thick clouds, and fog to matches which make the 9M and R-73 entirely useless. They added SPAA to bases and gave RB AAA the aimbot of Sim Battles AAA. Don't EVER complain about anything Gaijin does or they will absolutely screw you over. Gaijin always finds a way
I personally enjoy the dynamic clouds. It forces people to have new play styles. AAA on bases are good, makes people reconsider bot base bombing.

Anyone else think its weird how people write reviews after flying this attacker as if it was a fighter, having a hard time, then dumping on the plane? I noticed it back at the A6E. Some of these chaps would get a KC135, try to dogfight a Eurofighter Typhoon with it, then review it as a terrible dogshit plane. It's wild.

Unrelated question but a pretty important one: Am I imagining things or there was a squadron Harrier around 2-3 years ago? Just want to confirm that in my head because honestly at that time I didn't even was in a squadron let alone worrying about squadron vehicle research
The squadron harrier was added alongside the F-16 and MIG-29 in Apex predators last year

Why does Gaijin do this crap where in a new update they surprise break a buncha stuff that had no business being touched nor related to any change in the actual update. Cracked AA, bombs splashing water on land, shell selection in tanks being scrambled, the lighting in ground is wack water is green planes are invisible, most tanks make no noise now, bombs whistle like they are falling AFTER they've landed and exploded. How hard is it to add a few vehicles and leave everything else the f alone.

Yea freaking mid map AA is complete bullshit and should be removed. But we still got some moron players that says they are ok and need to be in the game, and gaijin listen to those players instead people that knows that in a pvp game is completle stupid for IA beeing more dangerous than the actual enemy team

It would possibly be if it got ASRAAMs like irl, though in theory the AV-8B+ can carry AMRAAMs, which would be a bit of an advantage. Though equally if the AV8-B+ got Aim-9X it would just be all around better. It’s kind of a later plane, RAF harriers weren’t modified for radar missiles I don’t think, this one was. British harriers were cut in favour of the Tornado GR4 until the arrival of the Joint Strike Fighter, AV8-B+ continues until this day basically.
