  • Bucket lists can be so elusive.
Chip away as you can though… time is of the essence, and ticking away never to return.
Before I even began my flight training, I wanted to land at Dauphin Island - a carrier like strip of asphalt off the Alabama coast.
I set out for Mobile, to see a new to me city from a new to me perspective.

I can relate to "until the next thing came along". I used to think my hobby hopping was unique. I wonder if it's a lot more common than I thought.
    Really nice landing.
What's my next thing? I don't know. I don't think I want to steer it. When it comes along, it'll grab me and that's what I'll do for a while. Or maybe aviation is my last next thing. I'd be good with that.

You are definitely a kindred spirit in that you have had so many pursuits that bleed together. Aviation as a final endeavor is a good one - it never ends and there's no way to master it!

You're a gifted filmmaker and writer and storyteller. This spoke to me more than anything I've seen in a long time. Thank you!

because of your voice overs and style...you are one of the few aviation posters I don't keep skipping ahead...I used to think 3000-4000 foot runway was small...now I look at that runway and think it's same length as where I live but twice as wide with no trees...time changes perspectives...my dad has a masters in TV production and man his first camera with VHS tapes was heavy...one of these days I will start making some engaging videos...keep it up

I really like your narration while walking on the boardwalk at the end. So not at all ‘aviation UA-cam,’ it’s just good stuff!

What a coincidence this posts the day I become a pilot! Throughout all my training training I've had so many regrets for not starting sooner, knowing that aviation has always been at the core of my being since my earliest memories. Now being on top of this proverbial PPL hill, I can see clearly that it's so much better to be here later than to have never been here at all. Thanks for all you do and how you have chosen to share your gifts, thoughts and experience with the world!

Some of us ask why we cannot simply find something and stick with it. I'd say that some of us are born to explore and conquer, while others are better at building societies and permanence. Neither is right or wrong - just different. Jack of all trades and master of none. I can live with that.
Whether intentional or not, your narration gave way to the sterile cockpit when it mattered most. I really enjoyed your video and certainly identified with it.

Better now. Better now I appreciate the experience more. Better now I don’t stop at “passable” but strive for proficiency and a higher standard. Better now I don’t take these opportunities for granted. Thank you, Brian. Beautiful.

Wow what a beautiful video, thank you for sharing it. I can relate to this. I think some people just mainly do one thing their entire life, and other continue doing, one thing after the other.

Well well done brother. This is the content, the story, the tie back to 1991 with your mom predicting what you would be doing…with a camera (which is you making amazing aviation content) that makes me anticipate and appreciate your videos. 4R9, very very nice landing 🙌. Love it ✅✅✅

Great video! I definitely needed to hear this - I have been stuck in life. Those ten minutes have made me understand what I should be doing with my life. And it's not too late. Stop having fear and step out on faith. Thank you.

Yes! So glad this resonated with you. I think being "stuck" is sometimes necessary to build the tension needed to catapult to the next thing. All the best!

Well said, Fog. Great visuals too. You’ve got the gift for packaging it all with the tunes. But Beat Hollow is still my fave - and it’s on Amazon music…..
