Corey is probably one of the most technically solid and talented guitar players in metal and this is just not acknowledged enough imo. More Corey content pls.
@@Nick-ih5emJosh is so underrated, just like Corey. Awesome lead guys that can hold their rhythm down aswell, especially Corey who has to keep up with Matt Heafy, aka the modern James Hetfield in that regard.
This is bar none the best play through I’ve seen on here. You can hear every damn note, the actual tone, it’s all up front the way it should be, and you get to actually appreciate the sky high skill and complexity involved and see it in action. We need more of this.
Never knew I was playing that intro riff incorrectly, glad I was able to learn it properly from this playthrough! I wish Corey would do more playthroughs, he's a KILLER guitarist!!
Trivium were one of my first loves in the metal world. Ascendancy came out when I was 14 and I absolutely jumped right in. I kinda fell away from them in the 2010's but discovering they have a great catalog to check through - their riffs have always been sick. Corey has always been a sick player too and just seems like a good dude. This video is great with a raw playthrough tone, too many are just like watching a pre-recording. Respect to you Corey!
Immediately got into Trivium back in 2005/2006 when I watched the video of his solo in the "In The Fire" song from the Roadrunner United album. Till that point, I wasn't big into metal yet, and his playing blew my mind!
Trivium really reignited my interest in heavy music. Been following them since '02. Corey is of the best guitar players (and nicest guys) in modern metal. His taste in guitar equipment is pretty sharp too ;)
I remember seeing Trivium back in '08 with Slipknot in Altanta. It was my first real concert where I got to see bands I liked. Trivium was fresh off releasing Shogun and absolutely killing it.
That's what a metal song should sound like in playthroughs, without the tons of edits that UA-camrs have been doing all these years, discouraging everyone, making them feel they're not good enough because they can't play whole songs live without a single mistake. Just like Instagram models who edit their photos, they create fake beauty standards and fill people with insecurities.
Thank you, listen I know there are guitar gods all over instagram and youtube. But yeah a lot do a gazillion takes to get a 20 second thing. It definitely takes my music self esteem down. But seeing that some else sees the issue too gives me hope ! Thanks man, you helped me feel like should post more!
Amazing, could you please mix the next one a bit more blended to the original music next time, or pano it to one of the sides? Awesome Corey content though, would watch 2-3 more!
I think this mix is perfect. It's a demonstration of Corey's playing, rather than an over produced miming session. It's not pretty, but it's a great representation of real world tone and playing.
Hey corey! Im the guy from edmonton 2013 who matt gave the mic to. I hope you guys dont hate me. You guys have done a great job with all of those songs. I read the comments for UTWGC regularly for bailey. I knew that song would save lives. I havent been able to see you guys live since then, but im hoping to see you in 2025 with BFMV. Much love from Alberta
@matthewfreeman33 The released one bad album, acknowledged it, and have released nothing but bangers since. Sounds like you're the issue here, big man 😂
More Corey content please.
Most underrated guitarist in metal.
Couldn't agree more.
Definitely hasn’t got the recognition he deserves
ALL, I repeat, ALL playthrough should be like this !
it's even weird to hear a guitar that loud in a playthrough but really appreciable
Especially from a pickup company's channel where you want to actually hear the pickups. I'm looking at you EMG!!! 😂
Wow, a guitar playthrough and you can actually hear the person playing and isn't just miming to the studio track. Color me shocked.
Corey has nothing to hide. He has skills that would make a guitar AI blush.
I don’t think Corey is the sort of dude who would mime anyway. We know he can play, he knows he can play
Corey is the real deal. I’ve seen him live.. he doesn’t need studio tricks to pull off this stuff live.
true
Finally a video with actual recorded guitar tone, THANK YOU!
Also Corey should do more videos

Jason Richardson too

What a fucking great player. One of the best lead/rhythm guitar in the scene since years
Great to have the room properly recorded and not just a track. You clearly hear the guitar and everything is so organic and most important so real
Matt and Corey are how I got into Metal, love seeing this! OG blackouts for life
Corey and Matt both are legendary guitar players
As many Corey playthroughs as possible please. 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

Legendary work Corey + Seymour Duncan 🤘
He perfectly playing this in front of the camera, shows all the talent
Unreal playing and tones. Awesome.
Real amps
@@patrickolivier1 There really is something special about real amps. They'll always be around, and for a very good reason.
Does anyone else need more? I know I'm not the only one.

Thank you Corey and SD. More please, if you can!❤
It's like he's playing right next to me, that sound so fucking awesome!.
That riff at 3:07 is one of my highlights of that album. Love the open strings ringing
Such a sick riff
Man that blue V is so badass
Wish we could have complete albums of this, with both Matt and Corey. Love seeing them play and will be there next year in Lisbon, seeing them live!
this how electric guitar actualy sound like with Signature Blackouts ! :) ...great capture of tone :)
What a legend.
Wow, I always knew this guy was a beast, but this video is another proof
Amazing play! This dude is a beast!! 🤘🏻
Yep he crushes it
Hell yeah! More playthroughs like this, please!
Love his jacksons 🤩🤩
Love this. This is a playthrough.. 🔥🔥

I love that guitar
Dudes a beast i have no clue how he remembers all those leads from different songs.
Alexi laiho, this guy and matt literally got me into guitar
Fuck yeah, actual live guitar and it sounds sick!!
Freak'n no one plays seven strings like this! Awesome.
such clean playing ! love trivium
the mighty corey beaulieu! les gooooooo!
Beautiful. Really nice.. this one has a really good ring to it..
The Liv Morgan Finisher's Anthem 😎🔥. However i love so much this song and the Chorus is THE Heaven ❤.
Love you, Corey
The octave bar boards gave me that like to flies sensation.. that’s also a bad ass song
Now we just need the rest of the catalog
Corey is and will always be a kickass guitar player 🤘
Trivium is far too underrated
Sick tone and playing 👍
nice to actually hear the performance in a playthrough for once
this song is pretty decent aside from the ai generated chorus and the corny gang vocals

Corey kicks so much ass
One of the only Trivium songs I have problems with, that opening riff is hard to get clean. Might have to pick up a set of these pickups!
Jackson Guitars 💯
Bravo!

faaarrrk yeah
why isn't this censored? that guitar was brutally played without any blurring??? hello?
masterful
What is that speed! 😂
Where can I purchase that guitar?
Awesome . A Jackson King V with Seymour Duncan Blackouts it's not a guitar, It's a WEAPON.
Trivium. Interesting band. Their technical parts are a little too technical for me, but the simple parts are a little too simple for me.
That guitar tho
Anyone feel too much of noise from that sound?
"honey I forgot the mids"
Wow, had a beer too much Corey?
What the tuning
I think if I remember correctly it’s a half step down on a 7 string.
7 string b standard dropped down a half step (B flat standard seven string)
I'm not biased....

1) Have any clue who you are
2) Hate you
Looks like you need some stainless pickup screws!
Thank god! He didn't go the shitty Fishman route!
What's your opinion on Fishman? I've heard nothing but good things, is there a reason you think they're shitty?
betcha can’t play this
Is trivium the nickelback of metalcore?
No, they are real Metalcore and one of the OGs. They always stayed true to their sound. Not the bullshit that the genre became after 2010.
