It's honestly so weird to listen to without Trevor's exquisite storytelling. This song in my opinion was Trevor's best writing and you killed the lead well done 🤘
Brandon and Ryan and my favorite guitar duo ever! For them to play both rhythm and lead is just a beauty to watch and listen to. It’s like they are attached at the headstock and strings.
It's like you're reading my mind always a week in advance as I struggle to find accurate tabs online, you come up with a playthrough. Truly a blessing.
The album that REALLY got me into TBDM....you guys should do your whole catalogue with sheet happens. Verminous is great and they print a really nice tab book. I was shocked at how nice it was.
I just picked up Impulse Voices by Plini from Sheet Happens on the site they look solidly constructed just waiting for delivery. I may now pick up Verminous one haha
@@onetakehoovie5955 I think it depends on what comes easy to you. If chugging speed and endurance isn't easy for you, this is one of the hardest. 🤣 I struggle much, much more to play this song than I do Everything Went Black, for example.
Lets go one of my fave songs to play ever since i heard it on rockband 2. Bought from the Mayhem Festival pack. That song was a goal song since high school 13 years of guitar playing and the past 3 years i have seen the most growth and finally able to tackle some of my bucket list songs. Thank you for doing this i can't wait for you to tackle any of the everblack songs. I love seeing playthroughs from different artists as it helps me get better perspective on how i showed play it then going for comfortable variant for long sessions. This is a nostalgia hit Edit: wrote the other part before i saw the vid but damn dude the chillness of your playing that solo was so calm im always moving pointer and ring fingers never though to hold it like that but makes sense less drag and distance to maintain the speed. sorry fucking fanboying over here but this song means so much to me as a gamer and as a progress check. Thank you again. and appreciate ya acknowledging my request months ago.
Classic TBDM song. I remember practicing it when I was about 20. My downstroke wasn't fast enough to play that part that starts after 1:22 so I had to learn and practice alternate picking, upstroke-muted downstroke. Watching the video caused phantom forearm fatique :D
@@bosco_boscocoming from someone with a literal Alexi memorial tattoo on my arm… Brandon is much much cleaner. Alexis drinking made him pretty sloppy the last decade or so. Not to take away from his legacy, he was one of the best to ever do it, and one of the last true rock stars
Man I would love if bdm put out instrumental versions of your albums. As a guitar player, I think the instruments tell just as great of a story on their own as well and would love to put this stuff on while I work
Its so much easier to play that chorus part how you do it! jeez man ive been trying to keep my hand shape solid but flowing it back and forth makes it very easy to time. unintentional lesson thanks sir!
Just when I thought if you already did this song on shred light district ! 😄 Any chance that at some point we can get a playthrough of the banger « I only worship what you bleed » from the same album ? Thank you for your time and your vidéo Brandon
Killed it man, first track I heard by TBDM years ago, this song aged really well. I'm surprised you have to rely on ripping stems using AI though, figured you'd have those on demand lol
bro did you ever go back and play ,castleVania on NES??? its old school but something about that 8-bit gaming fyi, you guys killed it in Toronto few months back. that guitar crushes on stage. such a sick paintjob
Killing it man as usual!! Love that fucking guitar, it’s pretty sic!! When is Jackson going to do a production run of this, love it man. Do an unfinished maple neck and crackle the head stock. 👍🤘🎸😎
Not really. Most metal players easily have the same gallop and downpick chops especially thrash players and most of the melodic lines are extremely basic two string outside patterns. They're literally just down up picking outside the string. That's pretty basic bitch shred it's literally a basic picking excercise. And the tremolo lines are pretty basic bitch death metal. What sells the song is the writing and use of the techniques not the techniques themslves. Not trying to talk shit but anyone that has trouble playing this is going to have a long road ahead of them if they want to play death metal. I love Nocturnal but Brandon has way more chops than the technique displayed on Nocturnal.
The new BDM record color scheme should be black and gold since I don't think you guys have tapped into metallic colors in the album color schemes yet and it matches you guys' gear this cycle lol
Always wanted to learn this song but found my ears to not be trustworthy. Loving the clear videos of your hand placements - very helpful. Might have to join SLD to build by BDM catalogue. Do you not have access to stems, or is it just the convenience factor of having drums and bass 99% correct with moises?
I would strongly suggest when you are doing the half time picking that you do all down strokes, it will give it a way more agressive sound. Then when you need to go faster just alternate.
It's honestly so weird to listen to without Trevor's exquisite storytelling. This song in my opinion was Trevor's best writing and you killed the lead well done 🤘
GEARS CAN MENCE THE STRONGEST ONES LEAVING HEROES PARALYZED!!
I like to think that this Brian’s “point of view.” I agree though it’s weird not to hear Trevor
Of course he killed it .....he's the main guitarist for black dahlia...
@@AlexDemaree777ShreddDredd I know he didn't write this song though. He wasn't there for this album.
Isn’t he Lead to begin with? Or he’s rhythm?
Probably my all time favorite TBDM song. Never stop doing these playthroughs!
Even after 16 years old, this song is still 🔥
Good playthrough 🤘
Like all the way you play this song 😮
Good songs never die, even after 100 tears. It's not about time
What A Good Morning To Have Another TBDM Playthrough
Great play through. Castlevania II, “Simons Quest” was one of Trevor’s favorite games, which makes this song even more special.
Brandon and Ryan and my favorite guitar duo ever! For them to play both rhythm and lead is just a beauty to watch and listen to. It’s like they are attached at the headstock and strings.
Hes my guitar idol. Dude is a shredder that also plays with a lot of feel with a crazy unique vibrato. And that gold kelly makes me salivate.
He mentions on his insta that the boys at Jackson and him have been talking about releasing it as well. The silver crackle is my favorite
This twisted wretched place shadowed by the upmost darks of hell! 🤘

Me too!! It is a nice book!🔥🤘🤘

Perhaps even a special signed release of the tab book like Archspire’s 🔥
The Black Dahlia murder is timeless and Brandon recognises that to the fullest
always loved this song. The chorus riff is so fucking catchy. It's awesome to hear it so clear.
Niiiiiiiiice brother. My favorite TBDM tune, and a hard one to play for sure
its also crazy to think it's one of their easier songs to play as well imo

Thanks for continuing to upload! Working on getting to a better place financially and then join the shred light
A classic for sure. That hair is looking very luxurious today too.
My goodness - hearing this only a few weeks ago and now seeing how you move across the fretboard to play it… it’s making my face melt!
So clean. I can’t wait to see you live one day bro.
There is just something mesmerizing about watching brandon play, somehow guves me the same vibe like watching alexi laiho play🤘🏻
Dare i say it but - speaking as a masove alexi fan- i think brandon is even cleaner

One of my favorites to play on guitar. I love that chorus riff
Love that gold crackle! Sick riffs man
Always the best, dude. You are killin it! I will continue to dream of a solo album one day....
best song recoreded ever in the history of metal and you killed it as usual.
Would be great to see a rig rundown! Plz!
This was a cool song to take a poop to thank you UA-cam algorithms
that's the song that made me discover TBDM, love it. love the personal little touch on the solo, so good !!
This i like a mix between an insane display of guitar skills and a wonderful shampoo commercial
MORE!!!! awesome bro! I humbly request Statuatory Ape with this guitar sound and drums. These playthroughs sustain me! \m/
It’s knuckle tiiiiiime. Been waiting for a playthrough of this song. ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
This was awesome dude 🔥❤️
Fucking amazing live gonna keep supporting you guys when I can glad I got to meet in milwaukee metal festival best moments of my life
The crackled paint, reverse headstock. Delicious axe
Contrasting inlays too
@metalheadblues yes yes ❤️
Dude. Your tone in this, is extremely good! I gotta know broski. 🤘🤘
He really recorded and played this while thinking of what ingredients to buy for his soup
this will forever be my favorite song by this band

Keep them coming! Love these!

Sick Jackson!
This is the most energetic song played by the most bored musician I think I’ve ever seen lol
Hi Brandon ultra killer performace!! , one question please, what string gauge do you recommend to play TBDM in C standard tuning, thank you very much!
11-56 if you play lead, 12-60 if you like it tight!
Thanks dude!! @@BrandonEllisGtr

Sick!!! 10/10 guitarists agree, their wrists hurt watching this...!
god this is so classic my toddler and i were just acting so autistic putting hiw bear puzzle together to this
absolutely amazing
Thanks for that! Awesome as usual!!!!
This is ridiculously good.
So good mate. This album was my teenage years
Would be amazing if you did a full cover of Conspiring with the Damned. Not a single full cover on UA-cam and some absolutely gnarly riffage there
Not the guitarists we asked for, but the guitarists we needed
still so fucking good years later
Best looking guitar on the scene right now!!!
Bro, can we get a playthrough of the grave robber’s work?! That’s one of my favorite songs!
I like the addition of pinch harmonics on the solo. Gives it a different sound
this is awesome
Absolutely killer!!!
First heard this song in Saints Row 2, been a fan of TBDM ever since!
into the towerrr never go the horrors multiplyyy!!
Hey ahh Brandon, what's the Jackson branded amp behind you?
Can we get a Nocturnal playthrough?!!
Timeless. 🐐
What a song! Love it
Fucking cant wait to see y'all with Dying Fetus in Denver in October!! R.I.P. Trevor... will always miss you dude.
One of my favorite classics by y'all! What amp are you using for this track?
Que maquina es este chaval tocando la guitarra, impresionante. Un saludo.
Hearing only a single guitar on a black dahlia track doesn't do them justice. Their strength is in their harmony
Um dos timbres mais inspiradores , sempre excelente !
Thank you for this once again . Would love to hear you cover in hell is where she waits for me
Can you tell me some info about the Jackson head that I see in your videos? Thanks anyway.
BTW Your playing is absolutely great.
Now I can have a precise video to learn that thing. Which I know will take me forever at 25% speed.
On my top 3 metal songs ever.
3/4 time signature is just so perfect for deathmetal holy shit.
