yeah i dont judge him man if he's hetero or antihetero or whatever gender so long as he's a good person and stabs enemies with the tooth of a giant worm alien

@@frankdogbelly Except...Paul is NOT a good person. He's not even an antihero. He's a villain.
The sequels make this very clear. He's not only a terrible person, he's worse for your (apparent - I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not) audience - he's a _failure._ (Gasp!)
You really should understand a work in its totality before you start talking sh*t like this.

@@squamish4244 its okay to not like Paul, but ya gotta admit he's pretty handsome! sure, he needs more muscle but come on, you might be getting agitated because you think he's so sexy its making you uncomfortable. No judgement here! you can have a man-crush on Timothy Chalmet and we still think you're manly!

Hey Frank I’m a woman in my 70s. A Boomer and I grew up watching the Outer Limits, Star Trek, The Twilight Zone and for someone who wasn’t a big reader Dune just captivated me. To me Denis Villeneuve was the perfect director and spot on with capturing the story on so many levels. He deserves those Oscars.
I happy to be a woman and love Syfy. Tolkien, The Sandman and I’ll never forget the first time I saw the Fith Element in an adult comic book. I also just saw an obituary for a woman in her 80’s who was one of the first women comic book writers, Trina Robbins. See we are out there and sometimes boldly go where no man has gone before. 😉

thx for this reply! while i still say sci-fi started as a mostly-male-audience genre, plenty of women like yourself had the courage and great taste to enjoy it. yup, i used to watch 'twilight zone' reruns when i was a kid, back when we had reruns! if i can suggest a female writer/director in our current times. Misha Green created a TV show on HBO called 'Lovecraft Country' based on a novel - which some call cosmic horror, others say straight up horror-- i say sci fi, its Lovecraft. anyways, it has the smarts of classic twilight zone, highly reccomend!!!

Zardoz! Sean Connery wearing a bikini and thigh high boots! A giant statue of a god's head vomits out guns for everyone to shoot each other! Might have to actually make a video on that one, thx for reminding me.

@@politereminder6284 glad you asked - this video and this channel is MOSTLY to make people laugh. that said, there is always a hint of truth in comedy, and here in the USA there has been a lot of anger/confusion about masculinity, so i'm trying to share my opinion that there's nothing wrong with being a man, and that its okay men and women like different things. i'm sure 'Barbie' is a well-made & clever film, but i just have no interest in watching it. i like to watch movies where men do dangerous and violent things, but in real life, i take pride in being a peaceful and friendly guy. unfortunately, there are social media 'guru' types who seem to promote being mean to women or think that manliness means being selfish and shitty, and some young men (sadly) take that advice. if i can offer my humble opinion on what being a man is all about, i would say treating yourself and others with respect, not complaining, and enjoying life no matter what's going on. i'm getting old, and i used to be angry as a young man, what a waste of time! but i never want to preach, so i wrap my thoughts in jokes.

@@frankdogbelly Wow! Thank you for your honest and humble answer. Keep doing what you do. We need more reasonable voices in a space which has been filled with caricatures of masculinity.
I'm all for healthy masculinity. I'm all for masculinity that is directed towards building a better society, and towards making men feel genuinely good about being men in a way that brings good and not harm 👍.
