@@Freeyourself206 Specifically as to birds: See "Relative brain size in Australian birds" by Donald C. Franklin,Stephen T. Garnett,Gary W. Luck,Cristian Gutierrez-Ibanez & Andrew N. Iwaniuk, in EMU - Austral Ornithology, Volume 114, 2014 - Issue 2. Stacy Morford used the data in this paper to determine "birds that play with others have the biggest brains." The biggest brains relative to body weight, of course. The same has been found true for "playful" mammals such as otters. The phenomenon is associated both with "object" play and "social" play.
Okay, I ponied up, now how about you? You say you've learned about intelligence, but were never taught it had anything to do with play. What do you have to demonstrate that the correlation doesn't exist, as opposed to its just having been omitted from your education?

@@Freeyourself206 well, it's so very logical: when your organism is just made for getting food every day only, you are not interrested in play, because it wouldn't help you: a beeing that plays, is interrested, and interrest ALWAYS is a sign of intelligence:-)
ask humans with low school education, what their interrests are: you mostly find very low interrest in complex or scientific things- they just aren't curious!
