Yes, Ravens are large birds. I remember this many years ago (1987) while lying reading (probably Douglas Adams) on the grass in Regents Park on a summers evening. A raven landed quite close to my feet and seemed to be taking a serious interest in me. I made an encouraging noise at it, (as you do), and it hopped closer. Well at this point I think, ‘blimey they’re a lot bigger close up’ (I know-Duh). I think I actually spoke to it then and I also noticed that other people who were enjoying the evening air were watching this exchange with amusement. So it hopped even closer and was now only a couple of feet away. Brief images of a particular Alfred Hitchcock film flashed across my mind as I thought, now what? As I sat up, it came even closer, so I stood up quickly and instead of being spooked as I expected, it actually moved right next to my foot and pecked at my shoe laces. Anyone who’s ever dropped something hard onto the top of their foot will know that it can hurt, as did this. I instinctively kicked out, so said raven flew very briefly into the air, landed next to me again, and this time managed to grab my lace starting a miniature tug-of-war with me. At this point these days every phone in the vicinity would be trained on me, alas there were no video cameras around to record the 21yo, 6ft tall, 13 stone soldier rapidly leaving the Regents Park heading for the nearest pub, having been beaten by a kg of Corvid. Possibly whilst thinking ‘…. A relaxing quiet read in the park… Nevermore! ‘. I still love them though.
@Madame d'Badger haha thats class,Ive got a family of Crows and they display the same pattern ,food and water I'll get shouted at ,but mostly for food though.
i wonder about that sometimes, i raised a crow named, Jack and i taught him how to fly and the things that crows like to eat, one day he flew off and didn't see him for weeks and weeks then he came home with a mate, they lived here most of the time and they had chicks.
When I come home from work in the morning, I feed birds, squirrels, possums and whoever else that comes in my yard. One day I noticed a ring with a pink stone in it on the picnic table where I leave the food. Then a plastic bead, then a ribbon and so on. Well, I saw my raven friend leaving another gift! She looks even bigger outside her aviary 😍She is a beautiful, obviously well cared for bird, wandering around, doing her own thing, finding things to get into mischief with 😊
These videos are educational for most of us who have not come into contact with these sorts of birds. Why people find it necessary to express an opinion about something they know nothing about amazes me. They should just sit back and enjoy these wonderful birds and actually learn a few facts about their lives. I love seeing Fable and you telling us all the interesting facts about her, keep it coming 👍
Great video!!! Sorry people were that way toward you. Up theirs. She looks amazing and so healthy. With you giving her complete freedom, it is clear she chooses you to stay with. You clearly car so much about her and know what you are doing.
Ignore the negative comments, people like that have no understanding of the real world. Fable is a testament to your love and care, if she was unhappy, ill-kept or of ill health her plumage would be very dull, she wouldn't play or even interact with you. WELL DONE, YOU DO A GRAND JOB OF CARING FOR HER! 😊❤️😊
Your care for your birds is excellent! 💞 The people saying all those mean things just didn't bother to look at anything other than their own preconceived conceptions 😒
Sorry to hear you've received flak. I'm going to assume these individuals watched one video with no context whatsoever of your practices historically, or have any idea about Fable's life with you. Their loss. You are so even handed with your approach to these people. Good on you. Great to see you and Fable today!
Firstly, It's lovely to see you again! It's been a while, but life with the little one and stuff.. well.. you know what I mean! 😂😂 Secondly, it's quite obvious, surely, just from looking at Fable that she is the happiest bird on the planet! Some people just need to mind their own business!
Armchair falconry experts - ignore them, they're ignorant and angry behind their keyboards. There's a lot of it about. You obviously know what you're about and you love and care for your birds. It's clear. Thank you for your videos btw, sharing the joy's been important to many of us during Covid.
Shame on those idiots with negative comments. They dont know sh.t. You have how many years of experience. Screw them. You are an angel and we are just blessed to see a wonderful world with your birds. Ty sweetheart for all that you do! God bless you!!
I have never worried about enrichment for Fable or any of your other birds. I've watched from the early days and know how much time and thought goes into your care for them. It was nice to watch Fable exploring her yard and free flying. I think it shows her attachment to you that she would be with you when she could be flying or exploring. Her glossy feathers also show her health and care. It was lovely to see you again as well as Fable. Hope you and the family are well!
So lovely to see both of you. I could watch your interactions all day. I "knew" ravens were large birds but nothing prepared me for how fabulously fabulous Fable is - she really is a beautiful creature. The respect both of you have for each other is beautiful to watch. Fable is very fortunate to have such a human on her side and you Amy are blessed to have Fable. You have a wonderful relationship and it is an utter joy to witness
I love how she struts when she's carrying something 😁. She's magnificent and clearly well cared for. It was nice seeing her out and about just doing Corvid things. 🖤✨
Oh Amy I am so sorry for the feedback. You have educated me as one f your viewers over the years. It does take time for the uninformed to understand falconry . It may be an ancient skill but many of us do not know how it all works. Birds are everywhere but we know nothing. Please don’t give up. It must be difficult but I look everyday to see if you post. I guess being a busy Mom and falconer you may wonder if it is worth it. Please know you r a great teacher but only to those who will listen. Take care & hi to Alfie
Please do no listen to negative comments from people who do not have your knowledge of ravens and falcons! You know what you’re doing - and you’re doing the right thing. 🙏🏻❤️

I suffer with a CNS disorder, I’m in a lot of pain but one thing I’ve really enjoyed after being made redundant is learning. Working in digital engineering and watching all the videos you posted about Fable, I’ve loved reading about the many different subjects from problem solving and intelligence to learning about linguistic displacement. We see the love, care and dedication you show towards these wonderful birds and see how much they love you in return. It goes beyond that, you’re educating us, at the same time encouraging and inspiring us to be curious, expand our learning so we can all make a positive difference even if it’s something really simple.
Thank you so much for sharing beautiful Fable with us! She is living a happy life. Thank you for loving her and caring for her. She has a perfect apartment to shelter from the weather. God bless!
Fable you are beautiful happy & healthy & have amazing care ❤givers. Don't let the jealously & know it all types get to you. We love what you do & know your animals are well cared for. Thank you for all you do!
I love this bird so much! My partner and I both love her. For several months now, whenever one of us says the phrase “what’s that?” In our daily lives, reflexively, the other one repeats it in a Fable voice. And we start laughing. It just never gets old. :). We were so impressed when we first heard her say “what’s that?” So basically, she is always on our minds even when we haven’t seen her in a video recently. Lovely to see this video of what she gets up to outside! I have told so many people about you and Fable and put them onto your channel. Thank you so much for providing such wholesome and cognitively stimulating entertainment. It’s such a needed distraction from so much of the junk stimuli that bombards us from the internet. Fable is such a marvel!! And you are so wonderful to her. The bond between you two is truly magnificent!
Shes beautiful!! wow. I just seen her singing & talking by herself, wow its amazing how they mimic sounds. My Uncle Tommy found a raven years ago, she was injured. He called her Blackie, and he made a home for her under his back porch. We live in the city, in Philly, but in his yard, you would never know it was the city, as he had a garden, rabbits, a little pond - it was gorgeous! But, He ended up nursing Blackie back to good health, and she never completely left him, she lived there for years!! She could come & go as she pleased, and she always came home at night time to go to sleep. Uncle Tommy thinks she was with her Mum & family, as she was pretty young & small, and she must've got left behind when she got hurt. He guesses thats why she stayed with him & never left. Its kinda sad, but he absolutely loved her & she had a great life with him! He ended up moving after she passed away. Now he lives way up in the mountains, on a nice amount of land and he has chickens, hens & roosters and a big beautiful pond with koi fish, turtles, and wild ducks & geese come around in the summer time!! He has a little dog & now a stray cat just came up out of nowhere, so now he has a cat, too. He is the animal whisperer! LOL
At first, I thought she was a prisoner in a cage. My heart was so troubled, but after seeing this video, I have a whole new understanding of the situation. How interesting is it that you two have such an incredible bond. Beautiful. Thank you for showing us this gift you have.
You are so right, my dear, @Miss Sara . It is very good for us all to be humbled periodically so that we will remember to treat others with grace and kindness ❤️
I really enjoy watching her just exploring her environment. It's clear she is totally bonded with you & is happiest when she is near you. She is completely content & is living her best life. Thanks for sharing her with us.

Hello Amy I think Fable looks stunning her plumage is so shiny. Fable is a gorgeous raven. You’re doing a fabulous job of caring for Fable and all your other birds.
I love the rapport you have with your birds. There’s so much respect and care, and you can tell that the animals are responding in kind. Fable is full of mischief and intelligence, and it’s obvious by her calm and alert behavior that she really enjoys your company. Thank you for allowing the rest of us into your fascinating and lovely world. ♥️
I live 17 minutes away from a pair of ravens that have inhabited a ridgeline for at least 15 years (eastern Washington state, US). Their vocalizations are so diverse & evocative. I shouldn't be surprised Fable has learned to imitate, "Hi" with that "come hither" inflection. Knowing how playful they are, Fable might even have some sense you used that tone with fun in mind.
Absolutely love seeing Fable outside, she's so big and beautiful. You're long time viewers know how much you care about all of your birds and your great falconry knowledge and skills. Glad you set the negative people straight but ignore the nonsense.🦅😊.
Rather then simply switching channels, there is this faction that will instead concentrate on spending all their energy complaining; they are pathetic, do not give them a second's thought. You have provided us an insight into the world of falconry which is both entertaining and educational. Don't let those negative comments get you down. We love the common Raven and of course, Fable. We wish you all the best!
Some folks just seem compelled to assume/push negativity about things they don't understand. You're a qualified expert in this field. Short of something atrociously obvious, if you say this is how it should be, I have no expertise to suggest otherwise. In my experience with other things, when people are genuine enthusiasts about something - like, really making it their thing - they learn all they can about it, and apply every bit of knowledge learned. I have the feeling that you carefully calculate every decision you make regarding those animals. Love what you do, and thank you for the content. Special thanks also to the lovely ladies, Fable and Kevin (Personal favorites😉).

💯👉😂🤣😂🐦⬛👏✨
She looks even bigger outside her aviary 😍She is a beautiful, obviously well cared for bird, wandering around, doing her own thing, finding things to get into mischief with 😊

These videos are educational for most of us who have not come into contact with these sorts of birds. Why people find it necessary to express an opinion about something they know nothing about amazes me. They should just sit back and enjoy these wonderful birds and actually learn a few facts about their lives. I love seeing Fable and you telling us all the interesting facts about her, keep it coming 👍
💚
Stephanie, sane and caring people like you - and many others in this comment line - are rare gems.
💚
@@just_bea thank you so much for your kind words, I am a real animal and bird lover and I love be taught about their habitat and lives😊
Great video!!! Sorry people were that way toward you. Up theirs. She looks amazing and so healthy. With you giving her complete freedom, it is clear she chooses you to stay with. You clearly car so much about her and know what you are doing.
She is a beautiful bird and is obviously happy and healthy.
You make me think of some sort of magical character when you chat with Fable. What a special relationship :)
Amy and Fable both have rich full lives, it's always a very special treat when Amy shares a part of their lives with us.
I like your relationship a lot. It is pretty magical to observe the behavior of this raven. : )
Adore Fable ever since you introduced us to the wonder of this beautiful soul. Thanks for sharing!
Birds don’t have souls. Sorry
@@Astronurd Yeah whatever, Ebeneezer. Eff off.
Wow. She is absolutely beautiful.
It's plain to anyone who follows your channel how much care and love you have for your birds BOOP BOOP.
The people saying all those mean things just didn't bother to look at anything other than their own preconceived conceptions 😒
Thank you for all your support
@@wingsandwildlands theyll def s.u. if u let her have a nest &flerdglings the tail wagging prly means that too...
I love how she's a highly intelligent bird with an amazing variety of vocalisation abilities, and yet her favourite sound to make is "AAAAAAHHH!"
Sorry to hear you've received flak. I'm going to assume these individuals watched one video with no context whatsoever of your practices historically, or have any idea about Fable's life with you. Their loss. You are so even handed with your approach to these people. Good on you. Great to see you and Fable today!
the "SJW mentality" usually has ZERO real world personal experience, and they show it freely.
True!
I am just watching Fable for a few days, greetz from germany !
it lights up my days 😊
Firstly, It's lovely to see you again! It's been a while, but life with the little one and stuff.. well.. you know what I mean! 😂😂 Secondly, it's quite obvious, surely, just from looking at Fable that she is the happiest bird on the planet! Some people just need to mind their own business!
Honestly the time just flies! :)
Love watching you love Fable and all your birds!!💖💖💖😊👏👍
Armchair falconry experts - ignore them, they're ignorant and angry behind their keyboards. There's a lot of it about. You obviously know what you're about and you love and care for your birds. It's clear. Thank you for your videos btw, sharing the joy's been important to many of us during Covid.
The cure for covid is corvid.
Looks like it’s chilly out there. When she says/vocalizes “hi” she sounds like a sultry starlet. Amazing. Nice to see you and Fable.
I love the care you give to them all. Obviously Fable is very happy.
Shame on those idiots with negative comments. They dont know sh.t. You have how many years of experience. Screw them. You are an angel and we are just blessed to see a wonderful world with your birds. Ty sweetheart for all that you do! God bless you!!
Fable is absolutely gorgeous, wow, and she's added to her vocabulary. Loved this vid a lot, thank U
Wa! I love Fable.
Thank you for braving the black heart of humanity in the comment section to give us more Fable.
Made my day
All your friends are great but a video featuring Fable always brightens my day 🙂
Same. I just adore when we're treated to a new video, such a treat. We know Fable is so well cared for, and living a full and happy life. 💖
Incredible, glad you showed this 😊
I have never worried about enrichment for Fable or any of your other birds.
You both have a special bond 💕
So lovely to see both of you. I could watch your interactions all day. I "knew" ravens were large birds but nothing prepared me for how fabulously fabulous Fable is - she really is a beautiful creature. The respect both of you have for each other is beautiful to watch. Fable is very fortunate to have such a human on her side and you Amy are blessed to have Fable. You have a wonderful relationship and it is an utter joy to witness

I love how she struts when she's carrying something 😁. She's magnificent and clearly well cared for. It was nice seeing her out and about just doing Corvid things. 🖤✨
Fable is so beautiful and she has the sweetest voice! 💕
She is absolutely perfect and so healthy looking!
You are wonderful and the majority of viewers appreciate your dedication, your intelligent way of working with these amazing birds. Fascinating! Blessings and keep up the good work. You know what you’re doing - and you’re doing the right thing. 🙏🏻❤️
I have been following your channel for sometime now and the love and care you take for your birds is beyond reproach. It is shown in the mindfulness you take in their shelters, their training and the upkeep. It is a joy watching your videos thank you for sharing them. ❤

It’s absolutely delightful to watch you and Fable!
As I was enjoying your video my cat came along and demanded my attention. Then he noticed Fable and sat to watch her too.
I love and appreciate animals. Thanks for sharing beautiful Fable with us. ❤
Ahahah, she's such a busy thug, when outside... But a bit lazy 😂 Like "yeah, that's my territory and I got a lot of stuff to do, but I'm not coming too far from home without a snack" 🥨 😂
Fabes' coloring is stunning 🖤🪶
Thank u dear for giving so much loves n cares for this beautiful n smart Raven birdy u hv 🐾♥️ l love natures n all the big n small animals. Beautiful n peaceful place u living in.. God bless u n Fable much✝️. loves ♥️♥️♥️
The nice thing about your channel is that it is shows beings treated with respect. Fable is fabulous! 😉
Boop boop gorgeous Fable 🖤🖤🖤🖤 Nice to see you again 😊
Oh my God, what a beautiful, fascinating, wonderful creature. She's AMAZING! I was instantly charmed!
FABLE!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Boop boop!
That is one well cared for and very happy Raven. Not forgetting lucky to have such a lovely cute Mum.
Crows remember your kindness for years . Absolutely stunning sweetheart 🌹🕊I love you my friends 🕊
Cheers Amy and Fable!! You take incredible care of your birds, sorry to hear about the negative responses.
I can’t stop smiling! What a wonderful pair. So beautiful
Wonderful to see Fable again ❤ Sorry to hear you've had keyboard 'activists' preaching their thoughts in sweet ignorance.
I like to call them trolls.. they disturbt and try to destroy with a ton of ignorance mixed in.
I loved watching all of it, but especially you with her sitting on your shoulder. I myself have had lovely conversations with wild ravens!!!
LOL
He sounds like a wonderful person! Blackie knew she could trust him, so she stayed. It's so nice to hear about people who truly care for animals.
❤💕❤ Reminds me of the Queen's ravens, only nicer and happier !!! ❤💕❤
At first, I thought she was a prisoner in a cage. My heart was so troubled, but after seeing this video, I have a whole new understanding of the situation. How interesting is it that you two have such an incredible bond. Beautiful. Thank you for showing us this gift you have.
You know what they say about assuming...
You are so right, my dear, @Miss Sara . It is very good for us all to be humbled periodically so that we will remember to treat others with grace and kindness ❤️
Not to worry Amy, people think crating puppies is cruel too. You've given her safety, enrichment & a bond. She's well cared for!
I really enjoy watching her just exploring her environment. It's clear she is totally bonded with you & is happiest when she is near you. She is completely content & is living her best life. Thanks for sharing her with us.
“Hi” Fable you’re adorable, you have a beautiful kind Mother who loves you very much. Thank you for sharing Fable with us. ❤️👍
Wow, was just thinking it feels like ages since I saw one of your videos.
Fable is such a beauty. Hard to believe anyone can think she's not loved and cared for.
Thank you for sharing 🤩
Boop boop ❤️
You keep doing YOU! This is an awesome channel... I love it!

Our pleasure!
Fable is a stunning and beautiful creature. Thank you for sharing and educating us with these fascinating birds
Just ❤️ Fable! I always look forward to the new videos to see what she's up to. Thank you for doing this! 🤗
She is looking stunning. Any newcomers should go back and watch the historical library on your journey with Fable before making stupid unfounded and unjust comments ! Keep up the fabulous relationship it's amazing! BIG LOVE! 💕
What a lovely environment for her to enjoy. 😊
The fact she's in such beautiful condition and so playful should tell people she's very happy with her living arrangements! 😉
👍🤗 Your birds are SO well loved & cared for!! I love all of your videos & Thankful U take the time 2do them 4us!!
Fable prancing & exploring around the yard w/such confidence shows how Happy her & all of your birds are!! Beautiful place yall have there!! I wish nothing but the best for you & your family, your birds and all your true fans!! 💖
Anyone who has watched you for any length of time will know how much you care for your birds. Anyone who watches you with Fable, in particular, can see how enriched her life is, and how safe she feels exploring it because you are right there. It is amazing to see her in flight, and tremendous to realize how big and beautiful she is. I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. I always learn something, and I always feel welcomed back like an old friend. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO! **BOOP BOOP**
How beautiful to be able to get this close to a raven and fable is an awesome name !!!
Hello Amy
I think Fable looks stunning her plumage is so shiny.
❤️ from America for you and Fable.
Oh wow, she’s huge!!! The size comparison is very telling. ❤ I love her. What a gorgeous place to live!
I could watch this all day! Thank you for sharing.
