Thanks again Dale. Thanks to All veterans. When I'm off work I'm kinda off grid so I miss some stuff. Everything I see is The Verz Best on UA-cam. A True wealth of Information.

Good information and message Dale my go to trap for greys is the KO 1.5 double jaw really holds them and most times a pad catch… actually had one on video getting caught… thanks again

Thanks for the recognition on memorial day. 21 years retired.
This latest batch of videos has been awesome.
Would like to see a video on double jaw, offset jaws, laminated jaws.. What size for what animals when and where. I don't know when or if I need to have any. And do coil and long spring play a factor.
Thanks for another great video Dale

Thank you for the content and information Dale. I love our country but I hate our government. God bless the soldiers who gave their lives for our freedom.

Thank you for the reason for Memorial Day. We don’t have many red fox in my area. But we have plenty of gray foxes. This is very good info that I am going to try this tomorrow for sure!!! I will let you know how it goes.

Thanks Dale! Grey fox are worth pretty good money here in Iowa if you’re willing to turn it over to the DNR alive. I have never even seen one in my area

Yea I know Brad. Trouble is if they get any turned In how good of shape are they going to be in? Like I said greys are bad to chew like coon are. I offered to try to cage some for them free of charge if they got me the cages I specified and the permit to do it out of season. Of course since it wasn't their idea they never followed up with me. Next thing I kntheyre offering a reward for them. DNR Stands for Do Nothing Right

This is my first season trapping I'm in swpa. I've caught around 10 nice raccoons, 3 opossums, and one red fox so far. Had two misses on fox when I first started because I had the traps backwards lol. 2 nights ago had a coyote on my camera. I set a basic dirt hole with just a stick as backing on the trail it was on. Last night had 2 greys on that same camera. When I checked the trap this morning had no sign of activity. They were both only 10-15yd away from the set. I used night owl fox gland lure on sheeps wool and bacon bait. Then put a little bit of gusto little bit out and up on a tree. I'm not sure why neither of them even looked at the set.

It's hard to say? Maybe the wind was wrong for them to smell it? Maybe they just weren't interested in what you were offering them? Lots of variables. Thank you for watching

Never caught a Grey Fox. Always to busy on Coyotes so fun trapping those and beaver was something I always wanted to do. Now when I say fun trapping I meant just trapping instead of HAVING TO catch a problem animal. Beaver trapping I know is Hard work for sure but I always wanted to do a vacation and trap just Beaver and Grey Fox. Sure missed that boat. Thanks Dale!!

S.e.oklahoma we have grays like mice,if i target them I always use drags of 10-12 feet and #1.75 or # 2 off set,and it seems to always be a back foot.

Looks like you had a lip outside your dirt hole! You usely don't have a lip there with you trench set! Is it better to have a lip with grey fox?

We use to have tons of them lil dudes ! About 10 yrs ago the cat numbers shot up and they have all but vanished ! IDK if that had anything to do with it or not but thats how it works I guess !

Yea kinda the same here Otter Cat. I was catching 5-8 a year here. Which ain't big numbers but for here it was ok. Then Cat numbers shot up. Then the dozers really showed up. Grey fox are slim to none now. I appreciate you watching pal

In the seventies in Kentucky the grey fox was not even listed as a furbearer. They were so plentiful they were listed as a varmint. In the eighties it was not uncommon to catch three or four a night. We would catch more greys than reds. Then it became about equal. In the nineties they started disappearing. This was about the same time coyotes came in strong and coons started jumping up. Now, greys are all but extinct. You about only find them in town. We used to have hundreds at state fur sales. This year there was one grey fox at the sale. Nothing to do with over trapping them. Something just happened and changed concerning them.

Yea Stephen im not sure what's going on with they grey exactly. I have my suspicion. Loss of habitat and too many insecticide is my thoughts. They eat alot of bugs . We aint had a grasshopper hatch here in iowa in years.i appreciate the thoughts and you watching. Thank you
