Thank you for watching Midwestern Trapper.
I like that set and have some perfect spots for it. Great information sir
It's a deadly fur taker kc. Thank you for watching
Good job, Dale you explained that well.
Thank you Anthony. I appreciate you watching
@billingsleybrandtrappinglu1531 anytime.. I appreciate you putting these videos out. They are very educational, and i learn a lot. I really appreciate it because for someone like me, i can't make it to conventions in the Midwest and Eastern Conventions because of the price of plane tickets. I'm hungry to learn and adapt to be a better trapper and gain as much knowledge as i can.
Thank you Dale once again
@AnthonyRubeoOutdoors I understand that. You're welcome
Very good info ! Always have good stuff!!
Thank you PopPop. I appreciate you
Great video buddy keep em coming

Thank you Dale that really cleared up some things for me I’ve actually made several of these sets I’ve always have heard them called Walk through sets.
Thank you for watching James.
These videos are gonna up my game for sure. Good stuff.
I'm glad you like them and I hope they help you Bow Hunter. Thank you for watching
Thanks for the info Amigo.. I've made that set and now I can see where I messed it up.. It'll sure catch bobcats though !! I'll be using your version this season.. Thanks again !!
Thank you for watching Floyd. Yes sir it'll take anything, comes down the trail.
More great knowledge being shared!
I started using a similar concept by creating a “trail” at high bank sets the last few seasons and it definitely puts the coyotes at ease.
Thank You Dale!
That works too 7D Outdoors. I appreciate you taking the time to watch these videos
Ive killed a hell of a lot of yotes in this trail set, been useing it for years. Learned it in Hoof Beats of a Wolfer by OG. And also from Ed Schneider from instruction, he learned it from OG also from instruction. It is my favorite set along with the Charlie Robbins dirthole set. Great vid Dale!
Absolutely Ram Outdoor. It's a very deadly set. Thank you for watching
Thank you,good video
I appreciate you watching Jack. Thank you
thanks for the demo dale!
Randy I appreciate you watching. Thank you
Thanks Dale , very good info. Hope you had a good convention.
Thank you Mike. Had a hell of a convention.
Great demo Dale. I’ve used that set before with great success. I like a gland lure personally. Sometimes just a small dab just under the dropping. Kills the heck out of fox.
Yip Peter it works that way too. Thank you for watching
Great job. Matthew Holland
Thank you Matthew. Thank you for watching too
Thank you for this video. 👍
Thank you 284Winchester for watching. I appreciate it
Great video dale 👍
Thank you Paul. Thank you for watching too
I've used hamburger grease. Put a few chunks on each side of trap about 6in from trap
It works Calvin. Anything to slow them down. Thank you for watching
👍
Thank you Scotland
Great video, do you think this set would work on a big wide cattle trail and do you prefer a bigger or smaller trap for a set like this?
Ben as I said in the video if there's no narrow spot, make one. It'll work for you
I'VE BEEN TRAPPING FOR WAY TOO LONG NOT TO SAY ANYTHING!, BUT YOU ARE SO MUCH MISSLEADING THE FUTURE TRAPPERS OF OUR COUNTRY!, STILL LIKE THE CONTENT, BUT THERE IS SO MUCH MORE THAT YOU NEED TO SHOW THESE KIDS........
David please explain how I'm misleading folks? I feel im putting out way more content than any other channels. Solid content at that!! So if I'm misleading anyone please explain so I can do a better job.
It's a killer for sure ! I like my lures a lot ...... but the turd is king ! 🤣
Dang right Otter Cat. I appreciate you buddy. Thank you
Another great video
Thank you David. I appreciate you watching too
That would probably work well on old cattle trails when they aren't being pastured there anymore right?
Yes!!! That's where you use it Rodney
How about dipping tobacco on the line, does the tobacco scent in the area deter coyotes?
Kansas Road Hunter I chew every day BUT I sure don't spit around my sets and I do wear gloves.
Thank you.
@KansasRoadHunter you're welcome
Hey mr Billingsley, do you cover your trap in dirt before a rain, or just leaves and grass?
Slippery Ace I use a couple different coverings. I use coal shale which is waterproof and freeze proof too. I live in strip mine country so it's easy for me to get it. When using it you must use a LIGHT blend coat of dirt over it. I have in years past used waxed dirt or waxed sand also. Again it's waterproof and freeze proof too. The other thing you can use is peat moss. Peat moss is very water resistant and freeze resistant too. It is hard to bed a trap solid with it but it can be done. And you must use a LIGHT blend coat of dirt over top of it. If all you have to use is grass then use it. Just know that there are better things to use. Hopefully this helps you some? Thank you for watching.
Thank you very much!
@slipperyace1170 you're welcome
I have had to find a few of mine with my metal detector before LOL
Yes sir James. You got to mark them well.
I LIKE THE TILE SPADE, I HAVE A WORTHLESS GREAT SHOVEL THAT I BOUGHT FOR METAL DETECTING WITH A 12 INCH 2AND A HALF INCH WIDE BLADE, I WAS NIEVE BUT IT IS PERFECT FOR TRAPPING, IT EVEN HAS A FUCKING
STEPPING PUSHER ON IT! , IT COST WAY TOO MUCH MONEY, BUT IT IS THE BEST TOOL FOR MAKING CANINE SETS IN THE RIGHT SOIL! , GOD BLESS YOU MY BROTHER IN TRAPPING AND OUR HERITAGE.
I use both Styles of spades David. I have a standard as you see in the video here, and a cut down version. Both are very useful to me. I like the standard size for beaver trapping and the cut down version for predator trapping. I appreciate you watching. Thank you
Have you ever used two traps instead of one?
I have not Jay but there's no rule against it that's for sure
whats amazing is how thesecoyotes dont work sets after first catch never seemed to be a problem few yrs back seems like alot of trappers have same problem
I appreciate you watching Steve. Thank you very much
Less is better
In this case it is Stephen. Thank you for watching
If ever could learn to leave coyote sets alone after there made. They'd be allot more dead coyotes! Them will kill dogs without lure too!
Yes they will Colt. Yes you're right about leaving the sets alone too. Thank you for watching
