I don’t know much about the brand she launched in India, but here in the States, "Kind"-the brand she mentioned and assumed to be healthy-is actually one of the unhealthiest options among the many products marketed as healthy snacks. The issue is that consumers often don’t read the ingredient labels; they only focus on marketing and packaging, which can be misleading and unregulated. I hope her bar is genuinely healthy and not just marketing hype.

    Notable Quotes:
“I don’t think I was primarily motivated to create a large business and make a lot of money. That wasn’t my motivation.”
“The best kind of brands in business are actually built from fleeting moments of the heart and emotion.”
“If you know a brand that actually is found a way to be on the shelf and is available on a Dmart and Reliance, it’s full proof that the brand has arrived.”
“You have to be crazy because you think at that point of time that if you are convinced, you'll be able to convince everybody else to eat the product that you make.”

Absolutely worth watching every second! I wonder why did she end up selling Yoga Bar to ITC. What I've seen in this space in the last few years is that a lot of players try the online model and end up in losses to be eventually acquired by a legacy brand.
In this case, she went offline first. She had already laid the foundation to make it big!

    Key Takeaways:
Mission-Driven Approach: Starting a business with the goal of adding value to society can lead to sustainable success.
Importance of Offline Presence: For food brands, proving success in offline stores is critical before expanding online.
Strategic Market Focus: Concentrating efforts on a single geographic area can help refine the sales strategy and ensure effective resource utilization.
Adaptability in Crisis: COVID-19 pushed Yoga Bar to strengthen its online presence and diversify product offerings.
Effective Branding: Consistent and vibrant packaging helps in creating a strong brand identity and appeal.
Sales Team Training: Ensuring that the sales team understands and believes in the product is crucial for convincing retailers and customers.

When you say grocery shop owner liked your product, what kind of grocery shops are you talking about? If it's small size grocery shop owners, like kiranas -
    - are they not at a lower and medium end of middle class who also might not have a mass premium mentality? Even if you give them for free, is it something they really want?
    - do kirana owners actually sell a product if they find it really good or they sell it because the margins are higher, the supply chain is easier, because they struggle the most with these two?
