I bought one 58$ last month and really happy with it. My first wheel.
Good choice!
Over here in Singapore it still cost around $200+..
Pandu Jayalaksono I just brought one for £72 are they worth it
@@Jedb_390 I've seen them going for less on eBay, including CEX for £60 right now. It is a good wheel.
@@Jedb_390 ive got it since christmas. And the wheel is really great. The pedals are not that nice tbh. Especially the brake. But for the price it's decent enough.
I use a DFGT, i bought mine about two years ago, and it still works pretty great, the previous owner was extremely careful handling it, this wheel is the reason why i got into Sim Racing cause i had never used a FFB wheel before, its so cheap and yet does so much for what it is considering its from 2007! its a shame Logitech won't produce these anymore :)
I will say this DFGT I picked up runs really well. I will follow up at some point in more detailed video. I've only spent a couple of hours using so far, but was quite impressed.
I think if they release it with modern features such as modern console support it would sell like hotcakes
5:15 Actually they switched to helical gears starting from G27. G25 and DFGT have straight cut gears, that's why they're louder
I have bought my DFGT in 2008 and still using it. I had no issue in 12 years, still going strong and really good material quality, still looks like new! Also good with the new games as well. Before that i had a Logitech Momo; and that was the best feeling on Richard Burns Rally imho. But Momo was not as reliable as DFGT. I had some broken parts in the shifter.
Hello could tell me which games you use for for this Logitech driving force GT ?
I have a DFGT, use only the sequential for shifting, use the "paddles" as turn signals. They're great for that, love them. Not a sim racer, more of a sim driver.
I actually bought one on eBay for 45€ two weeks ago. The wheel is way better than expected. The pedals are a bit flimsy, but there are cheap fixes to find on UA-cam. Great value for the money.
What kind of cheap fix? planning to buy this wheel, how's the wheel going?
@@defaultj8679
Just look it up on UA-cam! The wheel itself works well. Force feedback deserves its name.
@@werewurst I live in Asian(Singapore) Can't really find any online shopping website that sells DFGT.
@@defaultj8679
You only get them used.
@@werewurst either new or used can't find the wheel.
Picked one up from cex couple months ago for £30, not one bit disappointed. Very good wheel, cheap and cheerful, works well with forza 7, project cars 2, euro 2 and American truck sim
Hi, can you bind the brake pedal as a clutch?
My first wheel was a dfgt, the pedals are garbage but the wheel itself is pretty good. My buddy in our RF2 league still uses it and kicks our butts with it. Great thing about simracing is knowing all the fancy expensive stuff doesn't make you any quicker necessarily, more immersive yes. Had my G27 for 9 years now and its still going strong...knock on wood 🙂 Anyway enjoying the channel and the variety of content. 👍
Thanks for the input, interesting read. I've had an opportunity to try it and it's working well. I would have liked a bit more strength from the motor but does a decent job. These old wheels are pretty damn good. My 1st wheel was a G27, I do wish I kept it, it would have been useful for comparison tests.
I am 10 years in with these wheel! Besides the pedals i feel its hard to upgrade unless you go belt or direct drive.
I still use Driving Force GT and it works very well :D
Bought this wheel brand new in 2012..had a lot fun with it as my first wheel..sold it and went for G27..i sure really miss the DFGT.
India?
Nice!👍
Looks really similar to the g29 with the buttons, will be interesting to hear your thoughts on the ffb.
Had a brief go in AMS1 and it worked quite well. No joy with AMS2 though, it needs the original pedals plugged into the base, it won't let you map separate pedals which is a nuisance. Same issue with PC2. Maybe I can hack around with a .ini config file to get around that, we'll see.
@@SimRacingCorner But I could map the HE Ultimates, try using the custom wheel profile.
@@RVRCloset I did try that, but oddly it's not possible to map the wheel axis on the DFGT using Custom or Legacy, it's simply doesn't see the wheel. It's very strange. The wheel only works off the built-in Logitech profile in the game. No such issue with the G29, so it seems like a bug in the DFGT profile. Since it's also borked in PC2, I can't see this being fixed.
@@SimRacingCorner Ah okay, hm, weird..
@@RVRCloset Nevermind, I have plenty of titles to test with. ACC works just fine too.
I use the shifter on my Driving Force GT as an handbrake when playing Dirt instead of buying a separate one! The wheel is still going strong!
Does the skifter work as a shifter when i have a driving force Gt wheel?
Holy shit. Genius.
I bought one for 50€ a year ago. This is my first wheel and its amazing.
Second hand ?
Yea
Got mine for around 43 dlls just wit the power adapter missing. I'm using a laptop charger for now and everything seems to work ok. I also opened it to inspect the internal parts and I found that the encoder was broken but not enough to stop working. I did the trick with a washer and glue to make it last until I order a replacement. It's my first wheel and I'm loving it so far.
The biggest issue with the DFGT is actually the pedals, Wheel is pretty solid. It has a slower rotation speed than the G2x series which can hinder, but just make sure you turn off all the centering spings from the driver, and it's a great starter wheel. I still have mine on a second Rig!
Thanks MySimRacer. The pedals don't look very special so I didn't mind not having those and saving a bit of money. I will run tests comparing it to the G29. But 1st impression from me (haven't driven with it yet), it seems very good for not much money.
@@SimRacingCorner Did you make the video? I want to know how to the sound compare and rotation speed.
@@el_teodoro Not yet. It's still on my list of to-do-videos.
@@SimRacingCorner Ah okey. Can't wait :)
I have one, picked it up from the op-shop for $25, using it for dirt rally its awesome :)
Aww, cute cat!
😺Thanks, she often video bombs my recording.
good deal keep up the good job love the video
Thanks 👍
Still use this wheel for IRacing, works great. The pedals were terrible, i am using a Fanatec pedal set in their place.
just bought one of these with the paddle mod. looking forward to getting it
I'm thinking about getting one of these
I just got one it’s arriving next week I’ll let you know if it’s good from any average eBay seller
also thinking of getting one.
the most legit looking seller is going to sell the wheel after the outbreak.
also fyi the dfgt cannot work with a clutch of any pedal set.
I got mine recently and it is really really good for the price. I picked mine up with the steering wheel, pedals, and a metal stand for around $40. I havent tried it out on PS3 yet. The pedals are a little flimsy because their plastic but there are fixes for that. Also when using the sequential shifter on the side the travel distance from the middle to +/- is really small. so far I have had one problem, and that is noise. You can hear the gear turning almost every time you steer. If your using this alone and with headphones it wont be a big problem. but if you share a room/play near your livingroom or something then it might annoying to someone else near you. but other then this wheel is perfect! This is also my first racing wheel with FFB and 900 Degrees rotation. If you can't afford/get a wheel like G27 or G29/G920 this is the best wheel to get for the quality and price.
@@gavinh9295 so? how was it
ÄKTA ZAP ZAP it’s good actually it’s really good I’ve been using it a ton for drifting and it’s doing fine!
People who say its loud its not that loud. Its the camera. Even in person its not thwt loud
in australia DFGT is like 50-150$ still cheap thats like $33usd - $99usd
and the g29 is $400aud :| (second hands are selling for like 350aud-400aud too) sooo uh yea
feels bad. (400aud is like 264usd) feelsbad
The only next new thing I hope from Logitech is for them to add analog sticks on the wheel.
I buy today the DFGT at 30€, I swear I will love it !
I hate the weight and resistance of the older wheels, it makes it so difficult and slow to rotate the wheel and not over-correct or just pulls the entire thing loose from the desk.
i am curious as to if this is compatible with windows 10 and steam games etc...
It does, I've tested the wheel already. Logitech still supports these old wheels in their latest drivers. So it's fully compatible with new games.
Im from Argentina and G27 or G29 are very expensive so Im looking to buy this wheel for Assetto Corsa and DiRT Rally 2.0
I think it's a very good alternative to the G27. The G29 is little bit more refined than the older wheels, but not by much really.
Lol i bought this wheel too mainly for playing Dirt 2
Just got one for 135 barely used with everything. Box, book, and cd too.
momo wheel, best wheel
is it compatible with ps2?
just retired mine actually. support in various PC games is starting to be utter BS. So I am going for a G29
Hi, I saw your video about the Logitech momo. I'm searching a first wheel to play on few games like F1 2020, project cars, wreckfest etc... Do you think the better choice is the DFGT or the momo ? I like the look of the momo, but I don't know if he would be compatible with all games...
Get the DFGT, really no contest. I really need to get round to my DFGT review, it's on my list of things to do.
Sim Racing Corner It’s not the answer i expert ;-) i really like the design of the momo and the dfgt look not so nice...
But if you try both i guess i have to trust you !
Do you think there is other possibilities for the same price on second hand ? I saw the thrusmaster TMX and T100 for same price
@@christophesimon4229 The MOMO has a narrow wheel rotation, the DFGT has 900 degrees which is much better. Plus the DFGT has less friction, which makes it more agile. For the price point, the DFGT is the best you can get.
But if it comes down to between the T100 and TMX, then the TMX. It's newer. But I haven't tried the T100, so I'm making a logical assumption the TMX is the better of the two.
Sim Racing Corner i found a TMX now in second hand i think i will try to buy it, if it’s too late i will get the dfgt
Sim Racing Corner do you think the t100 is better than the DFGT ?
I bought mine a while after I got the Power & Glory mod as the 240 deg of rotation on my ECCI 6000 didn't quite fit the old classics. The GT was much better than my old Pro but it was hard to get used to the gear noises and friction compared to the silky smooth ECCI. But multi-turn just gave that extra enjoyment so after some swapping back and forth with the the ECCI I stayed with the GT until I bought my AccuForce.
Interesting to hear the difference in sound between the two wheels. Curious as to how the differerence in gear design translates to speed and feel in a game.
Without pedals, I wasn't able to get the DFGT working in AMS2. It seems to be a throwback problem from PC2, when tried that after. It's to do with not having the pedals plugged into the base. No problem with AMS1 though.
planning to buy one next year
i saw 3 of them for sale used for exactly ₱5,000 (roughly 100USD)
No no
That’s too expensive
Try to get one for around 20 to 40 usd
Where can I buy this wheel for the cheapest? Doesn’t matter if it’s used or not, I’m also in Canada.
eBay is generally a good place hunt these down.
is the G29 power supply compatible with it?
Where did you found this wheel not used and how much did it cost
Hey i d love to ask if a get any steering wheel from uk do i get any charge on the tax if i want to it to get shipped at greece?
Can you please compare torque output on these two wheels? I’m actually thinking switching to g29 if it has more torque. But what I found until now is that torque is the same. Would be great to clarify this.
I have used them both but not back-to-back to compare the strength. But from memory they do seem quite similar in this area. The G29 is smoother, it's not quite as notchy. I wouldn't say it's a major upgrade over the DFGT, just slightly more refined.
I found a g27 that costs around $340 the cost but still is new and compared to the dfgt I found for $115 in used condition(with pedals), is the dfgt a good choice?
I got mine for 50€ so its overpriced. I'm currently playing AMS2 with it and AC and had no problems with it. :)
Someone know where can i found the drivers for this wheel ?
That is a bit tricky, to have to download 5.10 64bit (if I'm not wrong) version of Logitech gaming software, I found a video on youtube about this
On official website.
I just got this one myself. Won it, actually, in a give away. Was told it can also be used with PS4, by updating drivers. Or using a crosshair convertor or something. Any knowledge of this?
This is what you need: www.ebay.co.uk/i/272932579842?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&itemid=272932579842&targetid=909953938039&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=1006567&poi=&campaignid=10199419189&mkgroupid=101401896665&rlsatarget=pla-909953938039&abcId=1145983&merchantid=119476870&gclid=CjwKCAjwxLH3BRApEiwAqX9arb_ruems55K4FlVZDR7aTvetbzdFyBJJHG2yNlwGCwW361g2Cz8bAhoCOeQQAvD_BwE
@@SimRacingCorner So, you would have to run it through a laptop as well? I also read that some of these adapters just mimick vibration and not utilize the true FFB?
@@kevo641 I don't know how well these gizmos work. This is a well-known standalone converter. shop.cronusmax.com/drivehub.html
My question is does this still have support and will this ever work on the PlayStation 5?
No
does driving force gt work with ps5?

is this wheel responsive for forza horizon 4
I don't see why not, I'm finding it to be very capable.
It works. I use i aswell
I like ac better with the wheel btw
It works great with forza horizon 4
