I’ve owned Toro for years and have loved them. More competition has helped with their pricing dominance. Having switched to Bad Boy I would be hard pressed to go back. The only compare would be that it is so much easier to source parts for Toro which is to be expected. Bad Boy is a winning brand and the quality is over the top.
After 20 years of keeping a MTD mower alive I feel I have graduated from a torture course in keeping a not so great design in service. Of course I look at a Bad Boy with a certain twinkle in my trained eye.
Can you do a video on how to replace the hydro fluid in a 2024 ZT elite with the zt 3100 transmissions? Now that they have removed the expansion tanks it is hard to tell if you are over filling them. Also are you able to add expansion tanks to these models? Thanks for your help.
Revolt vs scag stand on. Which is better in your opinion. I have a bad boy Avenger 54 inch. I’m looking to purchase a stand on for my business probably a 48 inch
@@TheJuice401I have a 54inch riding mower so a 48 inch will fit through most of my gated yards. I don’t like pushing if I don’t have too. I got a 21 inch self propelled mower we use.
I was going to buy a Maverick HD- but the only carbureted engine they offered was the Kawa 23HP, and 23 horses isn't enough for me on a 60" mower. (Don't wanna deal with the headaches and expenses of repairing EFI after the TWO year warranty ends). So instead I bought the Toro Titan Max...with the 26HP Kohler...it was cheaper, and it's an awesome mower. Shame..I would've liked to have bought the Bad Boy (Well, I think that orange color is horrible anyway)...and the Toro has a FOUR year warranty. (BB only offers the 26 Kohler in the EFI version..no thanks!)
@@DavidA20200 sealed is when it doesn’t have a transmission filter, servicable is when it has a transmission filter and a port on the top to put fresh transmission fluid in it. @@howeequipment my 2017 Timecutter SS5000 left transmission is having issues after it warms up for about 40 mins, it won’t engage anymore on that side. I guess I’ll step up to a commercial model so that way it’s serviceable plus it’ll be nice to get all those extra benefits and creature comforts
Because you can service the rear end transaxles on yer mower meaning you can change the rear end oil and filters on each side of the rear axles which means the rear end on yer mower will last just as long as yer motor if you keep the oil changed on it also. How you can tell if the mower yer fixin to buy has a serviceable rear transaxle is if you look under the rear end it will have a filter on each side of the 2 axles
Asthetics aside, have they improved their quality of cut? I've demoed their lines over the years and they have never been on the level of scag, exmark/toro, ferris, etc cut IMO.
@@lawnmowerman25I'd give it more than an edge. Scag will out cut ferris any day of the week and twice on Sunday. So will the bad boy r series mowers. Ferris aint nothin to get excited about when it comes to cut quality.
I bought a rouge 54 deck that keeps having deck belt issues. They need to update the deck baffles so that it will cut like a toro, scag, hustler. I only have 20 hrs on machine. Wondering if I am the only one having this issue…
You have to sell to young people. All the old people know what the best stuff is because they've learned from their mistakes and they only buy the best stuff they can afford regardless. Young people's decisions are made on flash and catchy names. Toro isn't a catchy name and deep red isn't a flashy color. People are like fish - you mostly catch young, little fish with flashy lures and seldom catch the big ones that are old. Look at the guy in this video; he's wearing a bright orange shirt to prove my point.
They spend too much money , lazar /plasma cut designs. Next , they put grease zerks that could face different directions for customer to grease. Some frame crossmembers make it hard for quick teardowns. They make it where you have to drop hydrotrans in order to change drive belts and cooling fans on some models. There electrical diagrams are terrible to read. They could list what relays are without chasing line work on prints. They can't tell you where in the wire loom is the pos/neg wire multiple tie ins. The hour meters crap out quick.

Love my Bad Boy mower. It's been the best mower I've ever had.
