I love my dyson but had the same issues you do, my husband bought a 3D printed attachment that allows me to use my drill battery with it. Absolute life changer! I now get some much more out of it, more than when I purchased it! It was so affordable too!!

At last someone with a vacuum cleaner and not a toy
I used to own a Kirby G5. I sold it. I am actually so furious at myself because they are actually good machines. If you know the product well, changing from floorhead to accessory mode is actually quite fast.
A multi level house is where the Kirby fall short.

Girl I hear you about the responsibility of the garage. I have tried so many times to get it organized but it keeps getting back a mess. You are exactly right the other person in the house needs to declutter.
Use white vinegar as a softener and you won’t get buildup on your clothes. It softens them as well.
This is what my day/weekend will consist of. I usually do my normal chores on Fridays,all of my laundry and then on Saturdays I tackle one or two rooms( depending on how bad they are) That allows me to not overwhelm myself and do a thorough job. Once those are done it takes me 20 -30 minutes to do a quick clean( dust mopping.vacuum/bathrooms)A lot of stuff ends up in the garage so once a month/6 weeks I go in and do dump runs if necessary.

I think my sister has been watching your video's, they recently got their kitchen done up and has Marble island like yours...total changer, I said you can get spray for granite to clean, get in Lidl or Aldi, she just uses soapy hot water and lemon dish soap, loves the shine💆♀️

I used to have a Rainbow vacuum cleaner too.
We used to vacuum our mattresses.
So yucky whenever i looked at the water.
Yes very troublesome to change the parts.
We bought more than 20 years ago when my children were young hence we choose Rainbow vacuum.
A few years ago we switched to Shark Cordless Vacuum cleaner.

I have one too, and I try to use the manual but I think it would be helpful to see someone else who uses it. Hi Lynn, awesome video. LOVE your benches and kitchen tap. I have a granite bench and I was cleaning an all purpose cleaner and the look of the bench deteriarated I found using a marble, granite and reconstituted stone cleaner kept it clean and maintained its looks. The one I use is by Hallmark, but I don't live in the USA. (JUST A THOUGHT, NO MEANNESS). LOVE your videos!!!!!!!

I used to have a Kirby! But I have had two rainbows, first one lasted for 20 years ! Now that I’m older I don’t use the rainbow regularly, I have a few cordless vacumes, but I do love the rainbow!😊 love your videos and your home is beautiful!❤

We have LVP also throughout my house. We put it down right over all the tile! looks great and no problems! So easy to clean and much nicer than tile! 😀❤

I hear you!!! I literally cleaned our garage out which took almost 4.5 days to do and within 2 weeks it was being unkept again! I cleaned it several more times and without fail, stuff could not seem to get put away!!!! I finally just left it and gosh only knows what a horrible chore lies ahead this spring. Again! ugh! Why is it so hard to put things away instead of just putting it on the first empty spot ? It truly is frustrating and disheartening. proud of you for standing up to it !!! You have inspired me to do the same. 😜
Try the shark stratos corded you don’t have to worry about battery power and the suction stays constant and it’s super convenient
Lynn my mom had a Rainbow & it was wonderful! I have a LG broom vac that I’ve had for 3 years, I love it. It came with two batteries. I had Dyson & they always died.
I have finally made it to the maintenance mode of decluttering after three years.
Lynn I love that you used the granite as the backsplash in your kitchen as well? Did you have to buy a slab of granite to do the backsplash too?

In our home we need to install more can lights because it's very dark in our 🏡 and maybe in our patio also!!! Hehehe It's been raining lately here in Arizona by Mesa till Saturday or Sunday. And our backyard is flooded and we have projects going on in our backyard gonna demo the patio concrete and we gonna put Pavers throughout the backyard with some rocks because right now it's mostly dirt everywhere and crush stone rocks! I cannot wait to see more Projects in your home Mrs. LYNN 😊😊😊😊😊🙏

Hi Ms. Lynn! My vacuming tip: I am age 54, & no matter vacume that I use, if I want a deep clean, I pull out the shop vac, lol.

You're right about getting clothes washed first. I always take my bath, put on some old clothes, put the clothes in the washer and then start cleaning. I feel like, I've killed three birds or one stone by the time I start. That's a monster of a vacuum cleaner. Is it old? I NEVER would buy a cordless vacuum. If it doesn't plug in I don't want it. It would be better if you had a small brush type attachment to that vacuum cleaner so you could brush it across the floor and suck it up.

Did you know that Kirby was actually created by a man wanting to make a better vacuum for his mother?...I used to sell them and I love them!!!...but if you want one and can't afford a new one, always feel free to buy them used...they are all over marketplace for like $200 and work just as good as a new one...

@@mrslynnwhite I have two currently, one I use upstairs and one I use as a canister vac downstairs...even as a canister vac it pulled the tile up from under the rug I got in the kitchen (my mom's wheelchair broke them so I put a rug over them until we can remodel)...I just bought the one I use as a canister for the accessories that the other one was missing for $20 on market place...the axle is messed up on it so it falls to the lowest carpet setting when using as an upright, which is fine because I only have tile and indoor/outdoor carpet downstairs...the other one I paid $150 for and is in perfect condition, she just lost the hose and a couple other accessories to it...the part for the other one is only going to cost us $30 but it isn't majorly needed at the moment...you can also get the belts and bags on Amazon for it, same with the carpet cleaner...though the carpet cleaner smells good, I make a homemade version that works better with vinegar, water and dish soap...though you will want to use a Bissell carpet cleaner for deeper cleaning on the carpet when cleaning actual carpets about once or twice a year...the Kirby doesn't shampoo deeply, more of a regular shampooing and has more parts to clean...but it is perfect for rugs and probably better for rugs than the Bissell which puts down more water...
Curious about if there’s splatter in the microwave and it goes on the top…. That seems 1000 times harder to clean
