I once read a book in which there was a significant sentence: "If you buy stuff, you buy three times: The price tag of the thing, the price of the furniture to store it and the house that fits the furniture. And when you have the thing, you're paying more, with the time for maintenance and cleaning and tidying." That really stuck with me. On a different thing: Congratulations for your plaque! Imagine that, you got a plaque for making videos about a mundane task like cleaning, and you managed to make it so special that 100k people want to watch you do it on a regular basis! Toothpaste helps fade permanent marker really well! If the kids draw on the table with permanent marker, putting toothpaste on there and letting it sit a long while helps a ton.

Funny story, I ordered peel & stick wallpaper for a small bath update. My husband hung up 2 pieces and refused to hang the rest! He was so funny refusing, then he ordered regular pasted wallpaper.
I was like whatever you want to put up…I was fine with the peel & stick!
He’s old school. I’m like you’ll be old school taking that down, too! 😂😂
I didn't have a lot of confidence until I made a pack with myself..treat my self like a little baby .gently..when making decisions..use my 9 year old self and make no decisions in fear ..and never lie. Sometimes you have to be your own mother and father. ❤

Wow finally someone who film while throwing things away during a master bedroom declutter 😇 That's the area I struggle the most to toss things but also the one no ones film other things than the donation bags. I'm just sad you've decided to mega speed up right at the moment it looks like you've might had few clothes to toss. Clothes that can't be donated and nicer paper clutter (magazines, catalogues and fashion stores flyers) are by far the things I need motivation to discard. I also like that by the end we could see from that bag you've had to discard normal trash in it as there was some discardable food plate on top. That means you can't do like me and jus leave the bag in the garage forever haha. I just hope that if you ever have to toss one of those things even if it's not as much, that we'll see it better, but it's already more than what 99.9 % of other master bedroom declutter I've seen so far haha

Use a magic eraser to try to remove the marker stain. Rub it very lightly. Tested first on a extra piece of wallpaper that you've marked with marker.

Try rubbing alcohol to remove the marker. Put a little on a qtip to see if it works without damaging the paper. I used it on a paint it removed it, no damage.

1. I totally get taking free things that are offered bc you didn’t have much growing up. Same. It’s a hard thing to break.
2. I’m still so happy that you got your plaque for hitting 100k. It’s very inspiring. I’ve been at this a LONG time and I’m still not even at 20k, but I refuse to give up. It’s a huge goal of mine as well. I’m not expecting it to change my life, but it’s still a personal goal.

Trust me, you are not the only one that does that when somebody offers me something. I take it if it's free. I take it because I always feel on the back of my mind that there will someday be someone that needs that 1 particular item and I give it to them. It's like paying it forward, but at the same time it cutters up my house and growing up. I did not have much and my younger married life. I did not have much so I accept everything that anyone offers me. I consider it to be a blessing because I can either make money off of it when needed. Through a yard sale or I give it freely to someone that needs it or is in need of it. It's a catch-22, but it always works out.

Congratulations on 100K! It makes me sad that you didn't enjoy/celebrate your 100K plaque. I too grew up with little and take/keep a lot of unneeded stuff. Since losing my husband (we were a good team too) I've learned we have to live in the now and celebrate every moment. We only have NOW! set a new goal to achieve...when you hit that...celebrate 🎉....share your happiness...

Dear Lynn, please do keep on going with your videos. You inspire me more than you know. I don't know if it helps, but a little bit of hairspray and wiping removes permanent pen on some surfaces. If you were able to try washing it, it might help here too? (if you do try it, do it on a small area first).

I started a declutter of my office the day after Easter. I emptied the room! I put back the items I knew I wanted to keep and set some other items to the side to go through at a later time. I was hoping the job would only take a few days. Haha silly me. I have been going through the other stuff slowly and I'm happy to report that the boxes that were outside my office I have gone through most of them and put stuff back in the office, thrown out the trash and donated the rest. My next project is my closet. I love how yours turned out. I would love to update my closet like yours with a different closet system, but that will have to wait for another time for me. I need to do a major declutter first. I love your channel, and I always look forward to your videos. They give me motivation and inspiration. Thank you!

I would try 90% rubbing alcohol. You can pick it up at Walmart. I use the rubbing alcohol pads to get permanent marker off everything. Nurse hack 😂

UA-cam is hard work and long hours. People tend to think it's a quick money making job. My daughter has her own channel and now that she is at university she just do not get time for her channel and it is always in the back of her head that she did not succeed. The closets look wonderful! Take your clothes to a nursing home or assisted living facility. There are lots of clients that do not have family to bring clothes.
Try rubbing alcohol on the magic marker. I’ve had quite a bit of success with it.
