honestly, I might have bailed on this run the second I encountered the criminal syndicate. Much as I love the /idea/, the actual implementation is just fantastically tedious unfun whether you're playing them or just sharing a galaxy with them.
Yeah they are bullsh#t to play against. and i hate them with every fiber of my being. Had 2 of them in my save. They were to far away for me to conquer them but close enough for them to spam my planets with crime. It Was hell, so i kept declaring war to remove them and got a few years of respite and then repeat. Finally destroyed them both but sheesh it was annoying.

And when i got to the end game when everyone declared war on me, they also where on my side, so ened up.having to of the largest fleets against the Galaxy, and pretty much went with no problem

It's still crazy to me that they still haven't made it so that pops stack late game, like 10 pops stack into 1 that does 10x as much. It's so simple cookie clicker can do it

Self imposed challenge, no researcher run! Would be glorious to see how far not researching tech can go. My guess your only path is to rush become the crisis and get techs from star eaters to pump out a half decent fleet before the others finish you off.
would be quite difficult considering getting trought different crisis stages require researching a special project. iirc there's a civic that can give you physics research from priests tho.
