Can we just talk about the fact one of their hokage literally invented the power to rip people out of heaven, enslave them, then use them as unlimited suicide bombers? That is literally cartoonishly evil
They are mercenaries and assassins that work for the highest bidder. I highly doubt any of them went to heaven. But who knows, maybe their afterlife has different rules.
You mean Tobirama? yeah that was extremely weird, why did he needed to invent such a technique for in the first place? he didn't managed perfecting the technique though since he died early in his life, but the legacy of that technique passed on and caused only death and misery.
@@notyourdaddude1957 plus it's like, dude, what the hell were you even preparing for? Like, ok, i can see teleportation and even raising the dead thing as general stuff that's useful, but what the hell were you planning that would've required infinite kamikaze fighters?
Danzo might have ordered it, Itachi and Obito might have pulled it off, but Konoha killed the Uchiha. You're telling me no one with a Byakugan noticed a wholesale slaughter happening? None of the hundreds of ninja hounds alerted to the murders? No one from the Nara clan thought it was odd that a vast majority of their village's police force wasn't on patrol? Sasuke wanted to destroy Konoha for the wrong reasons.
It’s for this reason that I hope Itachi wins the most popular vote. We need more insight as to what happened that night and how it went down. 2000 members is still a pretty tough task for 2 people to do alone without alerting the rest of the village. It’s as if they just speed blitzed everyone before any could escape the compound or make a big enough commotion
@Hokage In flashbacks, we see Itachi kill people and the fall through the paper walls of their houses, so there was definitely some commotion. The massacre couldn't have gone unnoticed, it had to be actively ignored. And that's the true tragedy of Itachi. He sacrificed everything for a village that literally turned their backs on him and his family to prevent the next shinobi world war and save countless lives. And everyone he saved only knew him as a villain.
Danzo had a fever dream one night dreaming of a strange world where the Geneva convention was held, woke up, and instead of rethinking his life, thought "Huh, That was a wonderful list of ideas to try out"
I remember when I was a kid and my older sister and I were sharing fandoms to try to get to know one another a bit better. I was trying to explain to her the plot to Naruto and how he grew up and the at the time: Chunin exams. She looked at me like "You do realize that is sooo effed up, gladiator arena for children, adults cheering on?" At the time I was young and thought she was just knocking down something I liked... As I grew up I realized that she was right. She said that they were probably raising Naruto to be so desperate for attention and recognition that he would be a perfect mindless soldier. Now I think she was right, although if her theory is correct.... Konoha failed. But I know now she was not being mean, just objective.
Well yes the way Naruto grew up was effed up but that was because it was Danzo fault he was the one made Naruto grow up alone since he was the one to tell the village that Naruto was a jinchuriki and made it somewhat impossible for Naruto to be adopted by any civilian family or shinobi clan.
Also, the fact that Hizashi's death only happened, because Hiruzen was perfetly fine with sacrificing him, because the cloud village wanted revenge on Hiashi for PROTECTING HIS OWN 3 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER.
How does it that make Hiruzen bad tho? He allowed it to happen because it was Hiashi’s own choice. And also if they didn’t do it, there would’ve been a full scale war.
Pretty sure that what cloud village was going to do with hinata was no different that what their attempt on kushina by making them into breeding stock thus r@pe them to produce more of the clans but in the hidden cloud village shows how far cloud ninjas would go.
@@Bestroyer348 I know the series makes the hidden cloud more impressive later in shippuden but I think their top ninja or head of the village is the one that tried to take hinata. Dude got poked in the stomach and packed up after violating a peace treaty they just signed. At that point just end their whole village
Tbh it's funny how people say Tsunade is the worst Hokage when she was like the only one that fucked up the least and helped bring a gateway to save the Ninja World/Bring peace.
Umm no, Naruto is the one one who helped bring peace to Ninja world, he literally saved Konoha multiple times. All Tsunade did was to literally push Naruto forward in keeping the village safe when a threat came up that's why she didn't screwed up as much as other hokages before her.
@@notyourdaddude1957 What do you think I am talking about lol? Due to her actions and believing in Naruto and others and not thinking trying to take but to rather give back and help is what helped bring the Shinobi world to where it is now. Hashirama was a great man but terrible Kage and tbf he was the first there wasn't much for him to grasp or know. Tobirama wasn't as bad as we thought but he created countless horrorifying jutsu that has done nothing but cause issues for the entire world. And Plus the way he thought of the Uchiha. We already know how Hiruzen lived. Longest reigning Hokage in the leaf and he has made so many terrible mistakes that lead to how the world ended up the way it was in the 4th Great Shinobi War. Plus allowing Danzo to do as much as he did until it reached its boiling point. Minato barely was able to do much besides save the leaf, seal Kurama and such. Besides that we don't know very much. Yet due to Tsunade's actions in trusting others and her instincts and well also her power as a medical Ninja, Lee was fully healed, more Ninja survived the Sasuke retrieval mission than there was supposed to. She bet on the sand and Naruto which lead to peace and a working relationship between the Leaf and Sand. She trained Sakura who has become as strong if not way stronger in both medical ninjutsu and strength and battle prowess which lead to even more lives being saved. When Konoha was being attacked by Pain she did her best to be bring Naruto back when I feel any other Kage wouldn't have which lead to the defeat of pain and more lives being saved. Not only that Tsunde made sure to keep most of the villagers as safe as she could using her summon. She was really the only Kage that fought and bet on both Bee and Naruto to help win the war which again...lead to way more lives being saved. I think her only real total failure was taking on Madara. Her actions as a person and Kage had a wavering effect that helped many survive and usher in the era of peace. We know the other Kage inspired others but many of their actions hurt the world more than saved it. Tsunade really just kept giving to the world and betting on those who she believed would actually bring peace and be even a way better Kage than she was.
Just realised something. Obito dies on a mission to destroy a bridge to interrupt supplies. Ninja can seal supplies into scrolls and carry a massive amount. Ninja can jump whatever the bridge is over/walk down, cross and walk back up. What was the point?
The entire ninja world is extremely corrupt, no one hidden village is completely just in their actions. Which I think makes it a great mirror to real life
Since I was 13 I've shared this same sentiment about real life as well. Keeping politics out of the mix, I am able to conclude that governmental powers and the powerful influences control and enact their illusive evils upon the civilian population. What should we do about it?.. Really.. What can we do about it?.. First off my trust goes to no one! Lol
Except in real life you have communist countries who do good by there people and are against the evil western nations that the hidden villages do mirror quite well
This is why I like the Land of Iron so much, since for some reason, they found successful peace through a system of honorable warriors, restricting their power to the use of only weaponry and have them widespread over the land instead of concentrating power in a single village. Sure there might be less samurai than shinobi, but consider where the samurai live, a land covered in an eternal winter, to survive there you would need to be extra tough to live as a normal person. A military force must be strong enough not only to defend their country, but also to survive in it's harsh conditions. This might be biased but I think they kept the more important part of Ninshu as their core belief, understanding one self. The better you understand yourself, the better you are capable of knowing your limit. There is a reason why the five great nations uses the Land of Iron for the Kage Summit. And Mifune is kage level, at least as strong as Hanzo, who is a Kage level threat. Even the stubborn Ohnoki is wary of the samurai, saying along the line of a shinobi cannot defeat a samurai on a one on one fight. Tldr; I want a samurai video.
Yes the land of Iron is my favorite in Naruto because of this. I like to believe that long ago they saw the flaw of their system and changed it resulting in then not messing with the shinobi's system
I feel like "Konoha is morally good" kind of went out the window with the whole child soldier thing. And like... a dozen other things that come with a world founded on a system of assassins and war.
I mean would you risk waiting on children to grow up to train them to defend the village when other nations were training their children from a young age? They didn't really have the luxury or else they would be wiped out by stronger ninja. You can't really compare their world to ours.
@@awesomesauce980 Yes, but what exactly is morality? Who decides what is good verses bad? Morals are a social construct after all, and are determined by each individual society.
When you think about it, What Danzo did in the hidden rain to Hanzo indirectly resulted in Konoha being destroyed. Which is ironic because Danzo did everything he felt was necessary to protect Konoha.
@@maalikserebryakov his plan being to weaken a peaceful small village next to him by starting a brutal civil war so that he could divide and conquer? even if they had someone weaker, he still made a completely unnecessary mortal enemy
Lets not forget that Konoha in Boruto series still doesnt publically aknowledge that the Uchiha Massacre was orchestated by them even if Naruto is the Hokage. For someone that likes to show himself as the most moralistic shinobi of the world, hiding that dark truth to the world makes him an hypocrite just like Hiruzen.
It isn't like Sasuke or another person wanted the truth. The only who should know is Sarada. Like Naruto should say for free reasons " Itachi the member of Akatsuki was in reality your spy" . It would be pretty stupid to ruin the Itachi 's sacrifice even more. He wanted the Uchiha 's reputation stays good. You want Konoha treats Sarada like Naruto in his childhood ?
It just proves how much of hypocrite naruto is nagato should not have trusted him naruto talk no jutsu is nothing but empty promises the problem is that the show is based towards the hidden leaf village and the will of fire that no matter what crime they do or how many people they kill their always the good guys because thier the home of naruto who is the hero of the story
You can't just assume he didn't disclose it,this kind of stuff would be done offscreen along with many other things. Like dude, they're not gonna spend an episode bringing back old shit. Who's gonna care? Sasuke doesn't care anymore, nobody cares about the civilians opinions, it's not a good episode. Also, they're a ninja military base, they have to keep secrets.
The village was built on the promise of preventing the deaths of children on the battlefield, and yet nothing but children have Died since its establishment.
Exactly. Naruto didn't revolutionize or change the system. He simply perpetuated it and continued to let it happen. Same with Minato. Neither should be praised to the extent that they are.
Sakumo Hatake executed Obito's Omega W quote:"Those who break the rules are scum,But those who abandon their friends are worse than scum" and was punished for applying it,More proof of Konoha's corruption
You know what is so funny about the Uchiha slaughter. They did it to prevent another Madara, while not killing literally the incarnation of Madara. Like the fire lord killing all the Air Nomads but the Avatar...kinda missed the mark there.
They didn't knew that sasuke was the reincarnation of indra and if they had forced itachi to kill sasuke, then instead of uchichas, itachi would have slaughtered the elders including the hokage
@@notgadot Itachi chose ppl that didn’t give AF about him or his clan, ostracized him and his clan, and segregated them to a certain part of the village. He had tense moments between clan members in that one flashback where Saduke witness Itachi beat up his own and chastise them in from of Sasuke and his Father. He illogically chose to “save a village” that ended up not only being destroyed by Orochimaru (mind u, he did nothing to stop him, even though he killed his parents, orphaned sasuke, and the rest of the clan for the village, and it ended being waged war on by Obito and Madara). He chose the village over his own flesh and blood, and his decision doesn’t make sense in any context
You forgot one concept of the Chunin Exams....That I believe this was the FIRST time that the other villages agreed to send their Genin to another village. It was supposed to be a promising aspect and bridge the countries. They did have their own Chunin Exams...and Admittedly by the other Nations - THEIR CHUNIN EXAMS WERE ON THE SCALE OF GENOCIDE! The Valley Hidden in the Mists I believe had their Genin OUT RIGHT FIGHT TO THE DEATH in one large Battle Arena - and only the ONE SURVIVING GENIN would become a Chunin. That was their exam. Cause only the ABSOLUTE BEST could proceed. Survival of the Fittest. And that is just ONE example. Just imagine that for a hot moment: you train - live your life - and out right grow with like 100 other students, and when the time comes you are to be thrown into effectively a corpse pit and told "Only ONE of you may leave here alive. How that happens? You fight till you are the last one standing. This is NOT optional. You WILL do this. And the only way out is through death." and then left to kill or be killed by your companions whom you may have grown bonds with.
Yeah, that is _WAAAYYY MORE than a little fucked up._ I wish NC had touched on this aspect of the Chunin Exams regarding the Village Hidden in the Mists at least a _little_ more.

And that's just with shadow clones wtf kinda incentive is there to be a ninja.
Also children aren't *supposed* to die during the Forest of Death. Nobody knew Gaara was absolutely unhinged and would start straight up murdering people. Not to mention the sound ninja infiltrated on a secret mission to steal Sasuke. Also Orochimaru being there at all wasn't intended. We know from Anko that jounin were _supposed_ to watch over the exams, but thanks to Orochimaru and the Sand colluding, they conspired to make it a much bloodier afair than was intended.
Can we consider the fact that Danzo also managed to convince the Sand Daimyo to filter/assign missions to Konoha instead of Suna? Because that shit was one of the main reasons why Orochimaru managed to pull the Kazekage into his plan to crush Konoha and kill Hiruzen. They where literally impoverishing Suna actively to the point where the Kazekage had to work his ass off 'farming' gold dust to sell. Mind you, they were 'allies' at the time.
There's also the fact that after one of the wars(I can't recall which one) the Sand's military was cut in size. During the Chunin Exams arc Baki pretty much said that it was because of these two conditions that they even decided to make Gaara a jinchurikki

No wonder so many people wanted to destroy Konoha, the village has a long history of unprovoked aggression against other smaller or bigger nations, it has probably the biggest history of crimes than any other village, hell it even has it's own history of exterminating their own clans. I kind of understand the intentions of Obito, Madara, Danzo and Nagato much better, they were people who were one way or another subjects to a massive amount of trauma that Konoha has produced upon them which is why they started to search for peace and creating their own definition on how peace should look like. Also to add another thing that i found it weird which is related or not, when Naruto came back in Konoha after the training with Jiraiya, Tsunade immediately sent Kakashi and his team to pursue Akatsuki, the same guys who wanted to capture all jinchuuriki, so she sent Naruto, a jinchuuriki and the most important one to fight them literally puttiing him at risk not once, but many times knowing very well how important his well being is, add that Team 7 still lacked a member so it was incomplete and she still decided to sent them fight off Akatsuki.... Hell they even counted on Naruto to fight and win against Pain, the most powerful Akatsuki member and basically it's leader who killed Jiraiya, a Legendary Sannin and one of the most powerful ninjas from the village. What i want to point out is the lack of common sense Konoha had shown when came to Naruto, he was pretty much alone every time when a crisis came up and everyone came up to him to solve the problem putting on his shoulders a big responsibility and he wasn't even a genius or a strong ninja at the time like Lee, Neji or Shikamaru
They expect Naruto. The guy who was hated by everyone! To save their asses time and time again and they only recognized it AFTER he defeated pain. Konoha Crush? Naruto got nothing. I know Tsunade has unrealistically high faith in Naruto's abilities and yeah he does deliver but like..... come on.... Naruto is just one guy. except for shadow clones. Although we saw what would happen without Naruto and they all got wrecked by the Akatsuki.

Boruto (anime) actually is good in touching on this. Specifically around the introduction if kara arc. @@ghr501able everyone treats Boruto like it's trash and I love it .. but ain't no one noticing that Boruto's team 7 is living a basic rip off of narutos team 7's life?
The chunin exam thing is self explanatory. They send children to the chunin exam to show daimyos and businessmen the future potential of their country so that they can get more missions. It's also a way to weaken the potential of other villages in an official way. It's also a way to make money as different villages host the exams so they all get some economical growth too. It's a lot of compromise but hey .. in a world that's been warring for 2000+ years , compromise is the best you can get unless you go for world domination.
Yeah, I feel like people are comparing things to how we live now. They live in a much different world then we do and the whole point of the villages was to give children a better chance at life. They were already moving in a different direction from before.
@@felix7720 agreed .. the ninja world is a world built on compromises. Compromise between the original hard to popularize power system of immortal mode and the alien easy power system of chakra, Compromise between clan and clan in every village, Compromise between clans and normies who were worthless during the warring states period,Compromise between the ruler of a country and the ruler of a village. There are many more, but I can't think from the top of my head. In short, the ninja world is world whose civilization is extremely broken. A civilization which should have walked on the path of technology because of the difficulty of immortal mode ended up being delayed for nearly 2000 years. They could have been at our level of civilization in terms of technology morality and stuff , but the otsutsuki had to come and turn them into an energy based individualist civilization.
This is a stupid train of thought when you consider that they can show off for the powers that B with out allowing the students to kill each other, all they have to do is say no killing or from a writing perspective have the exam in another village that might be trying to do all those things and highlight it as the other village’s plan to weaken the other lands and not something that happens regularly

How about creating Edo-tensei? The jutsu that basically forces souls do act against their will and includes a human body sacrifice. We're not gonna use children but we're gonna use some souls of other people.
I think it depends on how it's used. Are you telling me that if it came down to it, someone like Iruka would hesitant for even a moment to volunteer to be sacrificed in order to summon Hashirama, as three other villages are about to attack and destroy Konoha? As a defensive technique, it's pretty much unparalleled. There's a massive supply of fodder that can keep bringing back the greatest ninjas in the villages history over and over, even if they're sealed away. And if you get people who would willingly defend the village it doesn't even require a talisman to control them.
@@phonyalias7574 that's still killing a person, and people go off on Sasuke for doing this. Tobirama was a fucking douche and a hypocrite and even orochimaru called him out for inventing the jutsu and his policies surrounding the uchiha

11:56 We can see in kakashis flashbacks to his own chunin exams that the leaf used to keep it to just the leaf genin, at least that’s what i took from it since we don’t see any enemy ninja
It is stated each village has their own chunin exams. A collaborative chunin exam is held as well in a chosen village. We saw an example of this in filler. This is the chunin exam where most the Konoha 11 became chunin. It took place in the Sand village.
I think the only reason why The Leaf has so many horrible moments is because its the main village we focus on the most so we learn most of its horrible internal affairs. I'm sure if we spent just as much time in any of the other villages, they would be just as sick and twisted as The Leaf is. Remember what the Sand did to Gaara and his family? Yeah, that's only one aspect we learn of it.
Like how he starts the list with torture, like Konoha is the only village that engages in it, the scars on Ibiki's head didn't come from his allies, they came from enemy ninja who tried to torture him for information.
I came to this conclusion just yesterday after explaining the plot of Naruto to my girlfriend. Literally told her at the end that I think the Leaf Village may be the problem. So seeing this pop in my suggestions and posted just 2 days ago is absolutely hilarious to me
Sometimes when I rewatch Naruto, I just wish that their ages were written above their heads so that way I didn’t forget just how young certain characters are

Hashirama’s softness only came in to play when he failed to put Tobirama in his place. Before that point, the softness is what had allowed him to win over Madara and establish some peace. All Hashirama had to do was tell the elders to fuck off and make Madara the hokage before Tobirama
I don’t think anyone who sat down and watched Naruto and understood it to a fairly small degree would outright say that konoha are “the good guys”, that’s just where the protagonist is from
If I remember right, the Uzushiogakures protection was the actual whirlpools around the village and the only way to enter was to know a specific path in the water through/around the whirlpools and the only people who had access to the path besides their own people was Konoha so its entirely possible that Konoha (Danzo) actually sold the information on the path to the other great villages.
How about the time the village demonized kakashi’s dad for saving his comrade to the point he killed himself and instead of getting therapy for his son they turned him into a living weapon
Minato had a run on sight order. No one would fight him. They were told to retreat if they saw him. Then he would hunt them down and kill all of them. He has killed thousands of shinobi who were all told not to fight him.
Man Hashirama and Tobirama could not have predicted all of this would happen with the creation of Konoha. A united world government seems best for the Naruto world.
TRUE if hashirama senju and madara united they could have unified the world as the theory of mutual understanding is a complete joke and has no practical use as mutual understanding between humans is a impossible to happen.
Broo I was just thinking this 😭, Konoha is literally the USA. Commits massive atrocities . Is the superpower. Recruits kids to fight. Brainwashed kids(Anbu black ops) Calls rebels "terrorists". Bad to its minorities (Uchiha) Their ninjas are pawns to village elites(The Marines of America) Has its own 9/11 (The pain arc) At the end they say they are the good guys . Anbu black ops (CIA) Akatsuki( Al Qaeda ) Wtf😭
Hero and villain are relative terms. These acts are indeed atrocious by Konoha, but are commonplace in the shinobi world, which is why Madara just wanted to do away with everything altogether.
I love the shoutout to the ruthlessness of Canadians in World Wars. for context for those who don't know through all of ww1 and most of ww2 Canada was not given the choice to go to war independently despite being an independent country at that point. We were forced to by the brits and served as infantry and cannon fodder until we sacked up at Vimy Ridge and then do horrendous things to the POW's from said exchange and furthermore
Another thing to note about all villages is that the leders all have unlimited power and can just tell children to go fight there wars. And for the leaf hashirama kept saying not to send children to war and conflict but yet children still go to war!
Hey, the second great shinobi war is where the legendary sanin got that title! A positive, right? Oh, it's only because Hanzo took so long to kill them that he was impressed and decided to let them live.
Lets not forget that Orochimaru, who killed TWO Kage´s, who experiemented on and killed THOUSANDS of kids/people (just think about the 1/10 ratio and the dozen or so curse-mark-users), who took over bodies of brainwashed kids, who abducted people and held them hostage , WAS PARDONED!? -> Leaf Village = Frauds

Ok, I’m really surprised that you don’t remember/know this. Konoha is not the only village which holds the Chunin Exams. Every village holds the Chunin exams with them taking turns hosting them every six months. We just see the exams repeatedly happening in Konoha’s Forest of death because of bad writing and laziness from writers, since the writers didn’t want to design/draw an exam arena that belongs to a different village. The Konoha exams should only happen once every 3 years.
Konoha's leadership/Konoha ordering the killing of the Uchiha and all the other shady things they did as a nation to remain "on top" is precisely why Sasuke is such an amazing well thought out and well written character and his motives for revenge makes 120% sense. @@hannahmetzger6622 That's only OK when ur not on top of being the most traumatized character in the entire show (thanks to Itachi overdoing it with Tsukuyomi while Sasuke was only 7) but also born with a curse of hatred on you as well as being the reincarnation of one of the most hateful (if not the most hateful) character in the entire show. People often critisize Sasuke which is fine. My problem is they never critisize Madara or even Indra for doing far worse for far longer whilst having to endure far less trauma. Sasuke wasn't even 18 when he went rogue, but peole expected a teenager to not rebel after the world had shafted him sideways from childhood. The worst part is he was right about the Shinobi world when he wanted to reform it in the valley of the end at the end of Shipuuden. We see it even now in Boruto. Peole just need to keep the same energy with Madara & Indra as they do with Sasuke. Because Sasuke is so intricate and layered in Sub he's easily my fav character, but in Dub I find him to be really annoying. But glad u can at least understand him as a character. Critism of Sasuke is fine, but hate is assinine.
Bruh the problem with sasuke is he didn't just focus on the one that caused it his brain got so distorted that he just wants to kill Sakura too he should just focus on killing danzo and his goons and those 2 senior citizen in konoha also Obito because he's the one that helped itachi kill the uchiha . He wants to kill everyone that is innocent ...
Yeah, konoha is an autocratic dictatorship that uses ANY means to dispose of anything or anyone outside or inside it's borders in order to maintain stability and power. And by doing so produces its villains like Sasuke, Nagato, Obito and Madara. The worst part is it still acomplished to maintain it's moral superiority over them. Wich is RIDICULOUS! The problem I have with that is that a great deal of the fandom buys this moral narrative. Objectively, there is no "good guys" here. And Konoha as a city-state is just the worst.
Yes the hidden leaf village is evil the problem is that the show is based towards the hidden leaf village and the will of fire that they are the good guys because thier the home of naruto who is the hero of the story
Don't forget danzos dad, sauske sarutobi who was the absolute worst in the 1st great war. Killed his dad when he was 15 during a battle against the senju and uchiha and made it look like the enemy killed him so he could take over the clan, stole and killed more kids from other clans then anyone else, killed his own daughter since she fell in love and was pregnant with an unchiha, so he killed his grandchild too, made the other clans kill the children he stole from them to demoralize them, killed many more of his own children, the list goes on and on. He accepted a one on one dual and had his clan jump other guy from behind, truly the MOST underhanded do anything to win type of person. the 3rd had an outside ninja come in and erase all the memories of him and the 3rd destroyed all the paperwork that's the only reason why people don't know about him.
Look how they casually allowed other village to kidnap kushina with the nine tails ...like its not their problem...the change that naruto brought to the village is actually underrated...
because naruto is written basically to launder nationalism in the context of post WW2 japan. thus why the pain of naruto, sasuke, etc, is seen as shameful. its "hatred" (how dare they)
i kinda wish that instead of the reboot being boruto, they just make a new series focusing on how the status quo still remained mostly the same as it was back in part 1 even after shippuden ended; instead of boruto being the next protagonist, make it someone who didnt come from a shinobi clan like sakura, rock lee, and tenten back in part 1; instead of expanding on the whole otsutsuki clan stuff, make the story about a class struggle between influential shinobi and lower class people from non-shinobi clans and a struggle to dismantle the system that makes kids child soldiers at an early age, and make naruto the main villain + subvert talk-no-jutsu as an emotional manipulation tactic. like... i would gag so hard
I still don't understand how they managed to take the one thing everyone universally hated about the series (the Otsutsuki garbage) and base the entire sequel around it. Like wtf.
@@sheogorath1374 that's what I'm saying, like...? It's so jarring how they're ramping up the power creep and expanding on characters who are so distant from the original premise of the story as if it makes it even better than it was.

I recently thought it was kinda cool that a lot of people in Naruto were fighting for the same thing. Some just corrupted and lost sight of what they were trying to really accomplish
In one fanfic on UA-cam Naruto is bullied so much that he starts to give up on being loved by everyone and attempts to unalive himself but kurama stops him and convinces him to sneak out of the village go out on his own. Not many what ifs hit me in the feels but a 7 year old feeling so broken and down that they take a kunai that was thrown at them in hate and tries to end it all is definitely a guy punch
Who cares about that compared to Sasuke? Sasuke was literally a state sponsored genocide victim, and they planned just for sasuke to be used as a puppet and never intended for him to discover the racist policies towards his own clan. Sasuke had every right to destroy that godawful village
Anyone remember when ibiki held borutos hand and he folded immediately? No lie I would tell him anything before he starts. He is a chilling presence bro goddamn he sees pain as an art form. I'm good
I kind of wanna see you make a video about what you think would be the perfect Naruto timeline. (Basically just you going over every event and say what you would want to happen)
- Madara used the 9 Tails against Hashirama - Obito forged the Akatsuki - Danzo stole Shisui's eye - Itachi slaughtered the Uchiha Clan - Orochimaru killed the Third Hokage
I definitely believe the leaf was far more corrupt and Evil then the other Villages aside from the hidden rain. Under the rule of the third Hokage and really danzo, there was war and eventually genocide which was essentially state-sponsored. You also had the most evil person in the entire series coming from the leaf. We can talk about Orochimaru and his body is hanging off the wall in the experiments with children which is horrible. We can talk about Obito and his role with the Akatsuki. We can also talk about danzo and his various Shadow armies. But all of that pales in comparison to what Itachi did to his family and his people which ultimately, weaken the leaf. I know there's a large group of fans that somehow believe Itachi did the right thing in killing everyone he knew and siding the oppressors instead of the oppressed. Just think about representation and what it means to not have a say or a vote in the land that you live and all because you are different. I cannot blame fugaku for wanting to free his clan from what's basically tyranny. After Minato died, there is no reason why fugaku shouldn't have been the next Hokage but instead they go with the third who is arguably the worst in history of any Village. Maybe not through sheer malice but neglect. There's obviously something broken in the hidden leaf that produces so many monsters. Itachi was willing to let Kisame cut off Naruto's legs and abduct Kakashi. I've never once heard of this so-called entail that he was passing back to the hidden leaf but it seems like Jiraiya would probably be alive if he did a better job of that. He also aided in the infinite tsukuyomi by capturing tailed beasts which also makes him a monster. What kind of a man will cut down their own mother? He could have easily taken their eyes or pacify them some other way but he chose to kill them and there is nothing worse than a man that would murder his family and commit genocide.
It's a shame that Naruto was willing to uphold and stand by it all because it acknowledged him and he didn't address the problem because he was high on his own ego
@@lapplandkun9273 So true like wtf. Not to mention his habit of literally forgiving EVERYONE. He even called Obito the coolest guy ever when Obito killed his parents and killed so many innocents. As I grew up I realized that she was right. She said that they were probably raising Naruto to be so desperate for attention and recognition that he would be a perfect mindless soldier. Now I think she was right, although if her theory is correct.... Konoha failed. But I know now she was not being mean, just objective.
Wait....what🤨🤨🤨
Well yes the way Naruto grew up was effed up but that was because it was Danzo fault he was the one made Naruto grow up alone since he was the one to tell the village that Naruto was a jinchuriki and made it somewhat impossible for Naruto to be adopted by any civilian family or shinobi clan.

The sound 4 should’ve never even got into the village. Kakashi and The 5th could’ve handled them and took care of sasuke better. They helped shikumaru get revenge. The could’ve done their job and helped sasuke get stronger to clean up their mess

Boruto (anime) actually is good in touching on this. Specifically around the introduction if kara arc. Speaking on how smaller villages were/are always the ones that suffer most when something big happens in one of the major villages. Many of Konahas actions can easily be viewed as reckless, evil or simply destructive when viewed from any perspective from outside konoha.

"Good thing we found out that one couldn't go to war."😂😂
This is a stupid train of thought when you consider that they can show off for the powers that B with out allowing the students to kill each other, all they have to do is say no killing
or from a writing perspective have the exam in another village that might be trying to do all those things and highlight it as the other village’s plan to weaken the other lands and not something that happens regularly
and it also a form of cold war different villages are in competition on who has better ninja it is like a sport

@@susear5939 ur right i remember, seems like Naruto’s class chunin exam was the first collaborative effort tho since kakashis was leaf genin only.

I think the only reason why The Leaf has so many horrible moments is because its the main village we focus on the most so we learn most of its horrible internal affairs. Yeah, that's only one aspect we learn of it.
Like how he starts the list with torture, like Konoha is the only village that engages in it, the scars on Ibiki's head didn't come from his allies, they came from enemy ninja who tried to torture him for information.

@@DromusTH My exact reaction. And people still claim konoha is good. It certainly wasn't. All the kages were corrupt in their own way. Even minato.
That was filler though.
A large part of the corruption came from Hashirama's softness. Hiruzen too.
Okay now I see why Hiruzen, Danzo, Homura and Koharu ruling era are the worst history period and why there are many missing ninja came from Konoha.
How about the time the village demonized kakashi’s dad for saving his comrade to the point he killed himself and instead of getting therapy for his son they turned him into a living weapon
The problem with Kakashi's character. He doesn't even have any integrity. He spouts konoha's bullshit because he has friends over there.

One thing the manga really doesn't want you to acknowledge is how the massacre included children, the elderly, and non combatants.
Another thing to note about all villages is that the leders all have unlimited power and can just tell children to go fight there wars. And for the leaf hashirama kept saying not to send children to war and conflict but yet children still go to war!
What about how everyone in the village drove Sakumo Hatake to kill himself after choosing to save his teammates instead of completing his mission

- Madara used the 9 Tails against Hashirama
- Obito forged the Akatsuki
- Danzo stole Shisui's eye
- Itachi slaughtered the Uchiha Clan
- Orochimaru killed the Third Hokage
When you realize that Project Tsuki no Me wasn't so bad.
Sure his way of handling things weren't always the best, but atleast he understood how fcked up the village was, and wanted to change it. But haters will still go and call Sasuke 'depressed' or 'emo' while I will always be by his side.
@@canwegetmuchhigher729 Man, I think Kishimoto couldn't handle his own world because let's be honest, you have to be a great writer like Oda or the snk's author to talk about the darkness of Naruto's world.
The fact that we hate Obito for killing naruto's parents more than Naruto tho...
The chunin exams also serve the purpose of displaying the villages ninja to the lords of the various lands. The better your ninja look the more missions you get.
R. Kelly endorses this practice
This is why I have problems with anime. DS has the starting exam with literal demons that is unsupervised leading to so much death. HxH exam is a given.
why was i laughing the entire video?😂"Good thing it didn't happen in America otherwise well let's just say Naruto would have had a surprise in his backpack"😂
Naruto can be summarized as child solders understands the evil of the shinobi world (child soldiers, profiteering conflicts, and so on) whose trying to save his friend from going down the path of corruption that’s exist in the shinobi world
while proceeding to change nothing about the system and becomes nothing more than a dog to it
To be fair konoha isn’t the only place they hold the exams, every village takes turns holding them.
Imagine if shisui decided to clap danzo. Shisui and Itachi would of been unstoppable together
you do know that the reason itachi went to kill the uchiha is because him and shisui failed in killing danzo right? that's how danzo got one of shisui's eyes, and itachi got sick. this is why shisui kills himself and give his other eye to itachi.
@@marcosdheleno Wrong, They never tried killing danzo in the first place if they did they would of clapped danzo lol
Shisui respected the leaf and danzo wanted his powerful eyes.
He kill himself and gave itachi his eye so no one would take it.
@@orochimarupr Shisui not killing Danzo wasn't because he respected the village, he considered Danzo an enemy of the village, he just wasn't strong enough to defeat Danzo since he literally took one of his eyes, that marked the end of Shisui.
@@notyourdaddude1957 Wrong, he literally respected the leaf why fight danzo and go to war against the leaf. You clearly don't know shit about shisui
This has been one of my favorite rant videos.
