That is just an amazing sounding guitar. It is beautiful and ticks all of the boxes for me. And the Toska stuff sounded phenomenal on it. Any thoughts of being a sponsored artist for them?
@@joeking433 that's nonsense. Many people have to save up to buy a guitar like this, it's like a dream for them they can fulfill at some point. $7K is a lot for most people who buy these guitars.
Spent about a month in Poland last summer and was fortunate enough to be able to do quick tour of the Mayones factory. Despite being under construction and busy, Matt was super gracious enough to give me a quick tour. Pretty sure I saw that guitar in the factory. I remember the bridge/pups/& hardware configuration. Maybe it wasn’t, Who knows but it was pretty distinct. I’ve got a few pics on my fb page, Mathews Guitar Works. Mayones are some super fantastic people.
I love seeing all of these companies working with you! You have to be the (or one of the) best people for reviewing gear as well as presenting it to your community. Keep up the great work brother!!! You are a massive reason that once my house is completed (soonish), I'll have a section of the basement dedicated to learning.
I bought my first Duvell Elite 6 about a month ago. I love my Chapmans.....I love my Washburn 333...... But I absolutely adore my Mayones. The way it feels is like none other. The BKP Aftermaths sing in this thing! Mine was second hand but I feel as if though I specd it as it is exactly what I would've built on the configurator. They are worth every single penny. That beauty looks great on you Bea! Congrats!
i got a 7 string 2 weeks ago , the first week i was telling everyone " yeah there's 8 strings too but 7 is enough for me ." now i think to myself ," damn, i'm gonna have to go 8." i was warned about going for extended range guitars , i didn't think i was that guy. wow , your guitar is reeaaal nice , i might consider going for a custom mayones next year maybe .
Got my first Mayones a month ago and I'm still stoked about how well constructed it is and how good it sounds. Congratz on your new guitar, looks absolutely fantastic! Probably if I had the chance to design mine, would look really close to yours! Cheers
That black fade in combination with the top wood looks absolutely beautiful. It's not just a fade. It's so well done and gives the top depth like it's a painting. I love it !
At the beginning I was like "a bit ugly" BUT once he revealed it.... Holy shit, what a beauty, sounds killer as well. Hopefully you get to go over to the factory at some point. Would love to see that documentary.
2:06 Seeing Ryan Siew of Polaris brought a lot of feelings. Incredible musician, incredible band. His legacy lives on through Polaris and Mayones Guitars
I used to have a Mayones LP I back when I was a teenager. Very basic entry level instrument and it served me well. I’m glad to see this company come this far. Very cool design on your guitar and how insane is the craftsmanship.
I played my first mayones guitar this year at winter namm at the bareknuckle booth...the quality is apparent from the first look and touch...I have 2 prs core guitars,...but that one was really cool....I fell in love instantly....I feel like you are going to use the heck out of this one!! looks and sounds incredible!!!
Awesome looking guitar and i love the custom idea, A few companies offer this option but the problem is, The wait is just way to long, Some are 6 months, Some are over a year. My tastes might change by the time the guitar arrives. I just wish it wasnt such a long wait.

Thanks for putting this video out there. I really like your channel, you give very thorough explanation about everything you review and your humility always shines through despite your being an immense player. I am not surprised Mayones were keen to work with you.

A few years ago I went into Guitar Guitar in Epsom to check out some Suhr guitars and on the way out I saw these Mayones guitars hanging on the wall in satin finish. Never seen anything like it. Had a play of one, placed an order on the phone when I got home and 7 months later it arrived. At that time the core Duvell 6 was £1800. I had a few mods done which added a couple of hundred to the price. It was scary parting with that amount of cash having no idea how the guitar would turn out but I have to say it is simply the best feeling guitar I've ever owned/played, and I've owned core PRS and Ibanez Prestige. Not sure if it was the shop or the factory that cooked up slightly and actually put a gloss finish on the guitar instead of a satin/matt finish but nevertheless it is a totally unique finish.
The guitar sounds as stunning as it looks. The first notes you played on it sounded like a Grand Piano. Gorgeous tones. What gauge strings are you using? They sound absolutely perfect. That is a monster of a guitar. I think you made all the right choices. Looks like a blast to play.

There was a similar thing you could do in guitar hero. Of course it was purely aesthetic but it reminded me of the good ‘ol days

The Suhr I'd say
Mayones, Aristides, Suhr, Ormsby, Strandberg, Skervesen, Legator.... the list goes on and on and on. What a time to be a guitar player.
I’d say they’re more like Dukes rather than Hellmans.
