    Love the sound effects 😍 I will never put decals without soapy water ever ever again, come to the dark side! Still use the heat gun... It gives you multiple chances to align it and it sticks just as good👌

    I use a mix of isopropyl, water and dishwashing liquid. Learnt that trick when I worked at a graphic art shop doing vinyl decals and the likes. Get another Mick and paint the blue sections, theyre all straight edges and could be done easily with masking tape. Even gives you the option of going with a metallic blue if you wanted something different. Thanks for sharing.

      Nice one Jacen! I've done the soapy water before but not with the isopropyl. I assume that helps the water to dry?
      Will be getting another one for sure, can't find any at the moment but will do it again. I just can't look at it! 😂. Thanks for the tip mate!

      @@RCHobbyShed 50 50 water and isoprol mix, and a small pinch of dishwashing liquid. Yes, has to do with with the isol/water burning off, and enough lubrication from the dish washing detergent to be able slide decal/sticker sets around into their eventual position without the adhesive grabbing and stretching if you incorrectly position something. I've done this for a while because I was tired of not getting headlight and tail light masks correctly positioned for painting on my drift cars, and not getting window and windscreen decals spot on.

    ever try using the windex trick for decals?, just spray some on and you slide the decals on and press out the bubbles and let the windex dry and your done. i tried it on my black edition clodbuster where the decals are a mile long and it worked just fine.

      I've not used Windex, but have used soapy water before. I think with this one by the time I realized I should have used the water, I was already too far into it. I really have no excuses for this one! 🤣

    Hi Mick. First of all I love what you are doing with the edit on these. Does make the build video more enjoyable to have the captions and sounds going on. Anyway the car looks really awesome. Can't notice the problems you had with the decals unless you are very close. They did look like a bit of a nightmare with all the angles they had to go around. Trying to get that scheme with paint would be tricky too with all the masking up. How does it compare to your Scorpion? I was never quite sure what was different between the two. I look forward to seeing it run now that you are allowed out. Cheers for now mate 😀

    • @RCHobbyShed
      @RCHobbyShed  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks mate. Hopefully it will keep people awake when they're watching. I was getting board during editing and thought it needs something lol. Yeah the decals are ok from a distance... Maybe you notice my lack of close ups 🤣. I'm thinking about doing a side by side comparison of the Beetle, Scorpion, Tomahawk and Turbo Scorpion. But between the Scorpion and Turbo Scorpion there's really not much difference, the Turbo Scorpion is a little wider at the front and it has hex adapters on the rear. Of course wheels and tyres too but that's really about it. Will be getting it out very soon! 😁. Thanks mate! 👍
