I enjoyed the build video very much. Appearance wise, this buggy is my favorite vintage 2wd RC buggy of all time. Not the best handling car but I think it looks fantastic on the track. I have one runner, one for the shelf and another still in the box. I really like this car!! Thanks for posting the video!!
Nice... I really want one of these, or a Beetle, or both... still can't decide how to paint and finish the Turbo Optima. Can't wait to see the running video of this one! Cheers
Everytime I say my collection is complete you show me a buggy I have some how missed down the line...love the look of this....gona need another detolf.
Kyosho cars were never on my radar always looked at Tamiya, but these things are amazing quality. I’m definitely going to put a few on my wish list. Well done on the build Glenn looks a super nice car looking forward to the running best wishes
I had an original back in the 80s , wish still had it I think I still have the tires for it. lol That was a badass car. I just ordered the rerelease yesterday.
I just finished mine…here’s a tip: use windex (my preference) or soap misted with water to apply the decals….I found it easy this way..you can jiggle and move the decals into place easily.
Definitely my all time favourite Kyosho buggy, it looks like something I'd like to build in full scale and race👌. Nice looking build Glenn👍. Thanks for sharing the video mate👍🦘🇦🇺
Such a great looking car, how buggies should look to my mind! All the while watching these build videos I'm thinking 'Tamiya SRB', different in detail I know but the resemblance is there. Love it 😍
That's a beautiful buggy! Decals looked a nightmare though Glenn lol but worth the trouble! Well done tricky bodyshell that! You sound like you have builders burn out! You could probably do with a nice easy build next! How about your Hopper on Tamiya Legends! Haha! Don't get much simpler then that it will be like a rest👍 Great stuff mate cheers James
Nice looking! I am still waiting for the Tomahawk to become available. The whole Scorpion series are a mechanical marvel and you can commend Kyosho for going as far to add modern upgrades. You can see that they are all mini Circuit 20.
Yeah the legendary series cars arent built for speed / aero - certainly large units in regards to sleekness. Get it out for a run! Stickers look fine from what I see! Water and detergernt work wonders for the larger ones, as im sure you know. Love the dish wheels on the kit !
Yet again a fantastic video Glenn 👍. You have assembled that buggy beautifully! The Scorpion / Turbo Scorpion have been on my radar, but having previously built the Tomahawk (which was a lovely build), I've decided not to bother as they all share the same chassis. I intend to buy the Javelin at some point and go with the chain drive. Just a word of caution, the new re-re of the Optima Mid (which I have just built) is no where near as good as the other Legendary releases. Don't get me wrong, it is beautiful when finished, but don't expect the same build experience, the instructions at times are awful and some of the parts are unexpectedly weak. I had to spend an additional £50 on replacement parts to complete.
I build the regular re-re Scorpion and it’s a great build. Mines running a sensored 17.5 brushless. I think I might build an Optima (Regular) with the belt drive as runner or an Ultima as I’ve heard they handle quite well
Great job on those decals. I have painted all of mine and the cockpit was so tricky to paint due to masking. See what you think on the next shell, I will be interested. 👍🏼
Great video Glenn, really looking forward to (eventually) starting to build mine! Having watched Tomley's video on it, planning to go with a brushless combo, so we'll see how that goes :) Have you checked out Kamtec's (in the UK) replacement body for the TS? Looks pretty close to the Kyosho one, I was considering an alternative body too! Carry on doing what you do mate, always enjoy watching 😃
I think these are great cars and this one looks smart, it would be interesting to see what you think compared to a suoerchamp or roughrider on a running video.
The different spotlights are a really good idea. Why don’t you get several sets off tires and wheels with foams in and have them painted up with the RC LEGENDS logo on them as “runner sets”.
I definitely would take this over the wild one. I just finished building the Tamiya Blockhead Hotshot 2 and it is beautiful. Runs dead straight and is fairly quick with the Tamiya sport tuned motor I've put in. Handles superbly too. A day after I finished it I ordered the Turbo scorpion. My first Kyosho rc car. I can't wait. I'm thinking of running brushless. I've never had any experience with these types of motors. I'd really appreciate any recommendations and tips 🏁
It looks good Glen . I struggled with the decals on the Ultima, those Kyosho decals can be difficult for sure . I have the Scorpion but after watching you do the Turbo version I’m interested in getting one too .
@@RCLegends2022 Two words "window cleaner" it makes applying decals so much easier and for some reason people don't want to use it. They just complain about how hard the decals are to fit, I don't get it.
Now get the regular scorpion the beetle and tomahawk believe it or not the turbo scorpion it has a longer wheelbase than the other three I just mentioned.
Those rims and tires are so nice!
Yeah they really do make the car 🤩👊🏻
What a classic, congratulations!
A true vintage looker, Glenn.
It certainly is my friend 🤩👊🏻
G'day Glenn wow mate 👍👍
Thanks buddy 😅
Beauty! Certainly a looker.
Thanks buddy 😊👊🏻
You smashed it,.looks absolutely mint..👍🇬🇧😎
Thanks Mark 😎👊🏻
Ton of work in that body I had no idea there was that much too it! Way to hang in there and power through it Glenn it came out peachie!!!
Thank you 😊
Wonderful looking buggy Glenn. Can't wait to see it run
Running video coming soon Jon 😅👊🏻
It’s such a good looking buggy, I reckon up there as one of my favourite all time builds 🤩😎
Yeah it’s a looker 🤩👊🏻

Haha fantastic Gary 🤩👊🏻
Just beautiful 🤩
Thank you 😊
Also it good to have a break mate....

Gauranga!
Thanks Matt 😊👊🏻
Turbo Scorps rock!! Cheers Glenn 👍
It certainly does my friend 🤩👊🏻
That is a great build! Looking forward to seeing it run!
I always look forward to watching on Sunday mornings and a cup of coffee. Thanks!
Well thank you for watching my friend 😎👊🏻
Beyond jealous.... I'm a solid Hulk green right now. 😆 nice build
Thanks Kyle 😅👊🏻
What a stunning looking buggy that is Glen.
Awesome result Glenn. Yeah I get glue everywhere when I do wheels and tires. I'm amazed I haven't ended up with a tire stuck to my face or something.
😂, that properly made me laugh out loud!
Haha that’s hilarious my friend 🤣👊🏻
I love this buggy, it looks fantastic. You have done a great job as usual 👌
Love it Glenn.
Good job mate.
Gauranga :-)
Thank you 😊😊😊
Always love how old school rc was always so scale that it what I thought was a sand buggy would be as a kid awesome kit!!! Thanks great job
Thank you for watching my friend 🤩👊🏻
Beautiful buggy 😎💪👌🔥🔥🔥 job well done Glenn
Thank you 😊
Lookin good mate, awesome looking buggy! You did a great job on the stickers too, not like my sticker debacle. 😂👍
Oh yeah it was all done off camera as I was pulling my hair out lol 😂
Turned out really good Glenn. Well done. Keep them coming
Thanks George 🤩👊🏻

Excellent I’ve got the Javelin running video going out on Sunday and the week after is the Turbo Scorpion 😅😅😅

Yeah I’ve gotta be honest it’s not a technique I use tbh, I’ve tried it a few times. Thanks for watching and commenting my friend 😊👊🏻
Came out great, I wouldn’t mind having one of those myself!
Thanks for watching and commenting my friend 😎👊🏻
This one seems to be a must have ! Love all the aluminum that comes with this kit compared to Tamiya.
Definitely my all time favourite Kyosho buggy, it looks like something I'd like to build in full scale and race👌.
Nice looking build Glenn👍.
Thanks for sharing the video mate👍🦘🇦🇺
Yeah totally agree, a 1.1 scale in the garage would be 😍
Looks awesome Glenn, love the driver colour. Such a classic rc buggy 😎😎👍
Excellent thanks for watching Paul 😊👊🏻
Glenn, looks awesome! Makes me want to buy a kyosho
Thanks Adam 😎👊🏻
Turned out great. Like you, decals are tough to do at times. Also a neat buggy. Can't wait to see it run.
Thanks Kash, running video coming soon my friend 😅👊🏻
Such a cool looking car . Really need one 👌
Fantastic thanks for watching 😊👊🏻
Yeah! decals can be a pain to do...trust me i know haha! But as always you did a very nice result at the end😉
Thanks Richard 😎👊🏻
Well done bud. Looks great. Looking forward to a run video
Thanks Matt 🤩👊🏻
Amazing looking RC!!! I might have to grab one 👍
Thanks Paul 😅👊🏻
Awesome job my friend.
Thank you 😊😊😊
Turned out lovely Glen! Nice work on the body and front end geometry looks spot on, should run like a peach
Yeah I’ve got the running video made and yep it was awesome 😎
Looks great mate!
👍👍
Thanks Ruud 😅👊🏻
Love mine 👍
Great build just like the turbo optima 👌
Thanks Philip 🤩👊🏻
😱Looks awesome 👌
Thank you 😊
Love the retro buggies

It looks absolutely awesome mate, you've done such a good job of the decals, looks fantastic!!
Thanks buddy 😅👊🏻
Looks amazing Glenn! I agree with you pre Cut decals aren't my favourite I end up trimming them, now I am looking forward to seeing that bad boy run😅😅
Excellent thanks Chris 😅👊🏻
Looks amazing !!!! nicely done good sir!!
Thanks Andy 🤩👊🏻
looks good I`m diggin` the blue and white but I think black or gun metal grey wheels =) =)
Yeah definitely that would look cool 😎
That's a beautiful buggy! Decals looked a nightmare though Glenn lol but worth the trouble! Well done tricky bodyshell that!

I am in the same position as you. Never seen one in the flesh either. Mine is still sat in the box...
You’ll love the build my friend 🤩👊🏻
@@RCLegends2022 a couple more bodies to finish, then another couple of builds before that one though...

Oh no sorry to hear that about the new Mid 🤕
Sweet😊👍

Sweet nice thing

A stunning car

Yeah I’m not a big fan of the Kyosho cockpits tbh 🙊

I think these are great cars and this one looks smart, it would be interesting to see what you think compared to a suoerchamp or roughrider on a running video.
Oh I can answer that easily, this thing handles really well, it would absolutely run rings round the SRB’s 😅👊🏻
Great video Glenn - in hindsight would you paint the blue sections rather than apply the decals ?
Yeah possibly 🤷🏼♂️ but I’d 100% paint the cockpit 😅
Absolutely beautiful build Glenn, as usual you've built to a very high level of quality ❤️ what happened at 4:50? I saw a flash.
Oh yeah I never noticed that lol 😂
It was just the brushes arcing on the comm 😅
I'm on the fence about getting one of these since I have a Ultima.
I have to get the Ultima at some point in the future 😊👊🏻
The different spotlights are a really good idea. Why don’t you get several sets off tires and wheels with foams in and have them painted up with the RC LEGENDS logo on them as “runner sets”.
Yeah I really should invest in mor wheel and tyre sets 😅👊🏻
I love that , why people waste there money on the block heads wild one when that work of art is nearly the same price and twice as nice
Excellent thanks for watching and leaving a comment my friend 😊👊🏻
I definitely would take this over the wild one. I just finished building the Tamiya Blockhead Hotshot 2 and it is beautiful. Once you've built one Kyosho... there is no going back.
Haha very true Matt 😅👊🏻
Until you have built the Optima Mid re-re 🙁
First again boyz.. catch up!
Haha you’re the man 😎👊🏻
I've got to be honest watching this makes me want to build a kyosho I have built a lot of rc cars in my time but never a kyosho
Well if you’re on the fence at the moment, I think you’ll jump off when you see it running 🤩
Was there naughty words when doing the decals lol
Oh yeah that’s why I did that section off camera 🤣👊🏻
Just got one down under new to rc 53 and young 😂
Hi Glen, I am surprised that you do not like pre-cut decals. I like them and have always wondered why Tamiya does not pre-cut decals. Thoughts?
It’s because I like to sit the decals on the shell first. When there pre cut I have to cut them out anyway to do this 🙊
@@RCLegends2022 I agree, I also cut out pre-cut decals so that I can position them correctly.
Beautiful, just one thing, I didn't see you grease anything, it's dry!!!
It looks good Glen . I struggled with the decals on the Ultima, those Kyosho decals can be difficult for sure . I have the Scorpion but after watching you do the Turbo version I’m interested in getting one too .
Fantastic thanks as always for watching my friend 🤩👊🏻
Nice
Bud i have one in finished up to decal stage.. was too afraid to put the stickers on..😬
Yeah those Blue ones aren’t much fun 🤣👊🏻
@@RCLegends2022 Two words "window cleaner" it makes applying decals so much easier and for some reason people don't want to use it. They just complain about how hard the decals are to fit, I don't get it.
What I fought was, what's a "fing"?
If you plan to run it install the roof light cage……. If you roll it the lights will come off otherwise
Yeah I honestly don’t run them that hard but yeah you never know I guess 🤕🤕🤕
If you think about it the extra roll bar over the lights would protect the lights.
Yeah but I don’t run them that hard 😅😅😅
Tell me these are water decals and not sticky ones 😱
I cut out the Kyosho decals, I don’t like them pre cut either.
Now get the regular scorpion the beetle and tomahawk believe it or not the turbo scorpion it has a longer wheelbase than the other three I just mentioned.
Sounds expensive Brad 🙊
I thought they were all the same chassis, who knew!
It's also wider.
Very Nice
