How to Make Japanese Rice Porridge Using a Clay Pot

  • Welcome to Itadakimasu Recipe, Japanese cooking. In today's video, I'll show you how to make Japanese rice porridge using a clay pot. A delicious breakfast recipe that I often turn to when I'm not feeling my best. It's a hearty bowl of brown rice porridge.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    ★Ingredients:
    Brown Rice 75g
    Water 900ml
    A Pinch of Salt
    Umeboshi (Pickled Plum)
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    ★Instructions:
    1. Wash 75g of brown rice with water and soak it in the refrigerator overnight.
    2. Drain the soaked brown rice after it has been soaked overnight.
    3. In a pot, combine the drained brown rice, 900ml of water, and a pinch of salt. Place over medium heat.
    4. Once it reaches a boil, stir from the bottom of the pot.
    5. Cover the pot and simmer over low heat for 40 minutes. Do not stir during this time.
    6. Remove from heat and let it steam for 30 minutes. Your dish is now ready to enjoy.

    ★作り方:
    1. 玄米75gを水で洗い、冷蔵庫で一晩浸水させます。
    2. 一晩浸水した玄米を水切りします。
    3. 鍋に、水切りした玄米、水900ml、塩ひとつまみを入れて中火にかけます。
    4. 沸騰したら、鍋底からかき混ぜます。
    5. 蓋をして、弱火で40分間煮ます。途中でかき混ぜないでください。
    6. 火を止めてから、30分間蒸らし完成です。

    That looks delicious! Our go-to is overnight oats but soaked in milk and then add fruit and/or honey. Also I think a night out every once in a while is good for mental health 😊 have a great week! 💕💕💕
