You absolutely do have a winner!! You saw so much more than I did and made it lovely. Also, what patience you and your wife have to be able to accept the weather challenge . All the best to you both
I am a beginner still struggling with basics and have not yet tried en plein air. I’m not convinced I could do that under the best of conditions and to see your results while contending with sun and wind seems absolutely amazing. I’m also amazed that you had the courage and confidence to wear a white shirt and did not get even a speck of paint on it! Thanks so much for doing these videos and for writing your books, both of which have been very helpful and encouraging.
Thank you and your wife for the effort of making this for us. It’s so much appreciated for those of us who are trying to learn to paint with no school or tutor. You are my teacher!
Thanks to both of you for making such beautiful and inspiring videos. Im always astonished about your ability to get the tones so well in the first wash, Mr. Pitt.
Amazing painting!Thank you Andrew! And your outdoor video/mic quality is superb as always; no interfering background noise! I am a beginner and spent whole summer looking for the perfect spot or weather and I realize now that it was just an excuse:)

Your book is excellent. You do correctly emphasize that art requires a lot of work. The most important part of this work is having an exact picture in your mind of the finished painting before you pick up the brush. Making a sketch is a good start but making a good drawing is very difficult if you do not already have a clear finished picture in your mind. Sketching will only help clarifying some crucial detail. This is why art is so difficult. It requires forward thinking, a skill that very few people have and that can not be faked in watercolor.

Great video Andrew, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. I'm guessing that paper will directly into a frame under a mat without any cutting, if it's a stock size.
