I've had some bad experiences with free piano VSTs in the past so I'd pretty much resigned myself to using the GeneralUser GS soundfont whose piano sounds are almost identical to those used in Casio's lowest end keyboards, as it was good enough for my purposes as someone who never uses pianos in personal projects. Recently though my band decided to cover a song that makes heavy use of the piano and that last one actually seems perfect for the song. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
brooo how do i get it, whenever i go on the website and click the free download thing it just takes me to the payed version agsvadjsvfhdjafnaksdgnlfkdg
That's a really really good rating video. Straight to the point, really good plug-ins selection and useful comment about them and what they are best used for.
it says to "click the .pkg file to install" but there was no .pkg file. I fixed it already, though. I had to add the Quiet Piano file to the list of folders to check in FL Studio
One thing not addressed is the response. I found a lot of free versions to have low sample sizes, so their response can range from passable to downright awful. The feel of the piano and response of the keys is equally important to the sound, and thats where a lot of freebies fall down. However, they are still worth checking out as its all down to personal taste.
Thanks for the info.I have been using Keyzone piano which includes 5 pianos:Basic electric,Rhodes,Steinway grand,Yamaha grand,(very warm) and one more variation.I will give the Piano One a try.Another Kontakt piano is Dionysus which is an over the top hybrid piano, very cpu intensive but unique in the sounds it produces. Not sure if it is still free though.Cheers.

I was very surprised with the free demo of Addictive Keys (Studio Grand) from XLN Audio. It also has a standalone version. Try yourself. Great video, thanks!!!!
It's a pity to get some of theese you need to sighn up to something, or have use a sample player such as Kontakt. Gonna be using the Piano One VST in some of my future tunes though.
I agree. Computers are generally easily confused enough, and devs whose items can only be done via their "players", only introduces another stage for a computer to F- up.
Great post. I was trying to recreate some Kygo tracks, as shown in many videos, but they almost all use FL Studio and Nexus, which I both don't have. They layer up to seven different pianos, so how to get seven different pianos? ;-). This is a great step towards that number. Piano One I used already for some years, but requires the right setting/place for the sample (.ins-file) folder. I often use the Independent piano as standalone to figure out chords of songs. The Monastery sounded very well, but I couldn't keep it working, you need system management experience, ditto skills, patience and a high frustration toleration. I also have the MiniGrand, which was only €15. I think that sometimes a small amount of money like that outweighs hours of frustration and cleaning up you HDs. But I must admit, I most times realize that too late, that is, afterwards.
Man is it just me or does playing staccato sound really unnatural with a lot of these? Especially the first and last ones. Is that something midi pianos are notorious for? Or does it just need some extra reverb?
Can anyone help with this please? I record audio playing and recording. I guess my question is how the plugin could hear what I'm playing and play it back? Any help would be great, thank you
I want to ask... is piano one better than pianos from arturia? because I use analog lab 4 ,5 grand pianos , but I'm not happy with the sound. thank you 🙂 I working in cubase 11..
I don't even like piano, unless it's Little Richard or Jerry Lee Lewis, but I've discovered I enjoy playing around with them. The Arturia full lot includes an interesting piano array which includes a virtual one made of glass, lol.
hey! I downloaded Piano One and it's password protected zip file. I did enter the password according to what the website said but nothing worked. Is there anyone who can help me with this?
i'm confused.. this is the second video I've watched on free piano plugins and ALL of them so far sound like out of tune muddy awful noises.. Am i missing something..?
Watched your video and decided to try piano one. By far the worst download experience I have ever had. so many hoops to jump through just for a free vst. I just gave up midway into installing it, ill just stick with the pianos i have
Those chords for the piano one plug-in you used were so beautiful

how do I install quiet piano? I'm new to FL studio and I have no idea what to do.
@@NotXion Inside the quiet piano folder there is a text file with instructions.

Addictive keys. It has a free version which includes 4 octaves.

Yeah with a lot of free plugins you might need to sign up, but Piano One is an incredible plugin!
I agree. Computers are generally easily confused enough, and devs whose items can only be done via their "players", only introduces another stage for a computer to F- up.
In case of sign up requirement you can easily walk around this by using a temporary mail service.
