Most often people don't realise how difficult it is to be the fastest kid in the class, or the strongest kid in the neighbourhood. Getting into the Olympics decathlon finals is almost impossible even for the fittest of athletes. That's a massive achievement. The other thing is that the margin between the most successful and the last in that finals is very, very small. All of them after literally supermen. Well done Sten, stay proud, and in good health, of course.

When he's lying on the ground panting , I just think…he has the face of an angel. The most beautiful man I’ve ever seen. So handsome . He is a beautiful man inside and out. I think all of us watching this are wishing that he won. He brings only what is good to this world. His got a heart of gold. And cares so much for people. Dr Sten you are our Hero. Our Mr Universe.
It was so impressive! I remember times when I was an amateur athlete and a student. I was competing from 1979 until 1985 as a hurdler and sprinter. Now I am 59 , 185-85 after one year of practicing keto and weight training. Before my weight was 110kg and my health was deteriorating.

I remember interrailing the year before, at 23 years old. I went to Barcelona because I loved Gaudi so much and wanted to see al that he created. I went to the youth hostel arriving late with a few danish guys. But there was no place anymore. Went with two guys to the beach to spend the night there. Bad idea, the construction work for the olympics of Barcelona in 92 was going on for 24 hours a day, and although it was summer,, the wind was cold at night. Only the mosquitoes were happy that we came to spend the night there, man they were hungry.
