Amazing message. Thank you, I love spreading health and wellness:)
Dr. Cliff you are a godsend! It is so reassuring knowing there are people like you that are willing to go through the effort to put out informative videos like this!
Thankyou, really good video
Thank you for info.
Thank You for this video it it very helpful all You have been helpful thank You for informing us on everything about hearing aids
You're welcome Paula!
Very helpful ty x
Great video for the consumer
Thanks, Dr. Cliff, for the info. The only place here in my area of North Carolina that fits these rules is Costco! I bought a pair of Signia NX7 from a local private office about 7 months ago and paid for the future care. However, she recently became ill and died. The office is closed and there is no one to fulfill the contract.
So I went to Costco and found the Kirkland 9.0 (a limited version of the Phonak Marvel). They did a great job with programming and the hearing aids are great. Costco gave me the detailed programming info for my hearing loss, and I will program the Signias myself to match.
The moral of this story: Don't use a hearing aid office with only one specialist.
YIKES!!! That is a crazy story. That is a nice point about Costco. Not likely that they will be going anywhere anytime soon. Glad you're happy with your Kirkland 9.0s. They are a solid hearing aid option!
Hi Dr. Cliff, could you make a video on everything reverse slope hearing loss and one on custom ear molds and how to choose the right one? That would be great!
So, I’m getting my first hearing aids today! Shopped around for weeks, based on your recommendations as to what to look for.....it was the only place within a 25 mile radius that performs REM, answered all my questions and just happened to be an audiologist and gave me the best price. Couldn’t believe how much of a price variation there is on the same product depending on who you go to! Thank you for the guidance with your videos......I learned that you really do need to shop around....it’s a big investment! ⭐️
❤❤❤❤❤ Thanks for sharing Gale!
So how much did you have to pay?
good info
Thanks for program. I would like to get the checklist of best practices. Is this on your website? I have seen an audiologist in Fleming ISland, FL. and I think I will be purchasing a pair of Phonak Paradise P90-r from her in August. I would like to go over the checklist with her.
I never knew about Fake Spot! Thanks!!
can you make available the checklist on good practices?
Thank you for providing such info... My daughter is having the same problem since birth... Now she is 9 years old ( 11 march 2011 born) i got her many hearing add devices cheaper to more expensive but results are not there... She can speak only few words till now... Initially doctors advised for cochlear implant surgery but due to lack of funds... We couldn't get it... It was very expensive in pakistan and now almost double of the cast in 2020 for the same surgery..... Can you advise us on this issue?
Can you talk about the 3d magnet from Advanced Bionics / basicly the implant for the Cochlear Implants in an own Video, please?
I think about getting the 3d Magnet for MRI's
Hello Dr.Cliff, My daugher is five years old and she has S.N. Hearing loss. Please advise what is the best hearing aid for her.
I wish I'd found your videos when I was first looking for hearing aids. Being a senior citizen and on medicare I went on the recommendations of my insurance provider. NOT a good idea. Being naive about the process, I just went along and luckily (?) ended up with a national HA provider and got a good pair. The "follow-up"/fine tuning process was a disaster in that it was left up to me (and I didn't know better). Best that a provider would REQUIRE you to come in a few times during the first 2 months for fine tuning. Wished I knew about "best practices" when I started my search.
Totally hear you. That is why I started the channel!!!
Number 3 should have been number 1. I went to a clinic and was shocked that they only showed me 1 brand's products. I went to another clinic and they informed me the prior clinic was owned by a HA manufacturer. Many clinics out there are owned by the manufacturer. I think its better to go to a clinic that is independent and therefore will fit you with the best product for your hearing loss, not just the product their parent company makes.
Yup
what is locked hearing aid???? can you explain more??? thanks a lot
Hi Dr. Cliff. i have been planning on getting hearing Aids for quit some time now but due to the price have put it off. Who would you recommend here in Kelowna BC to go to. I have had a few Hearing tests done but they just want to sell me the most expensive set so I am not sure who to go to. Thanks, Dave Vitale.
he gave you a list
is there a good hearing aid pro in fresno, ca. area...!!!
Where can i find phonak UltraPower xReceiver for audeo b90 ? i searched everywhere but cant find one.
I was trapped into Beltone. The worst of everything. Stay away. Listen to Dr. Cliff. You’ll thank him later.
Thanks for sharing J Val. Locked proprietary hearing aids, like Beltone, are never a problem until it IS a problem.
Hi Dr. Cliff, if it is safe to purchase hearing aids through ebay or amazon online?
I don't think it's ever a good idea to buy medical devices on Ebay, but it depends on what your tolerance for risk is.
What is your recommendation for externs who are at a site that doesn't always implement best practice?
If you don't have the fortunate circumstance of going to a clinic that follows them already, as they are few and far between, I recommend you advocate for them. Share the data about how it leads to less overall patient visits due to improved performance outcomes. Make it about the best interests of the patient. Not everything is about cutting costs and saving money. When you start questioning Morals and Ethics, people pay attention. If you still aren't able to convince them to follow BPs then you must consider employment elsewhere or starting your own clinic to practice ethically upon graduation.
Hi! I’m a 20 year old nursing student that just got diagnosed with profound high frequency hearing loss. How will this impact my ability to use a stethoscope? Are there any hearing aids that work with stethoscopes? This is something that I’m really stressed out about and I’d like your opinion! How will hearing aids affect my daily life? I’ve been watching a bunch of your videos in the last 2 days, and they’ve been really helpful. I just never thought this would be something I had to deal with at my age. Thanks!
Rebecca Lord Hi-I am a physician with a severe to profound hearing loss in one ear and no hearing in the other. I wear hearing aides every day. I use an EKO stethoscope-it is an electronic stethoscope that amplifies the sound greatly. I am able to use it with my hearing aides in-you can also try it with your hearing aides out and see if it amplifies the sound enough. This stethoscope is worth the price. I charge it about once a week, sometimes twice, depending on how much use it gets. There is also an EKO app which allows you to record the sounds and play them back over your phone. Best of luck-you can definitely do this!!
Doc Sue Thank you so much! this makes me feel so much better!
Rebecca Lord you are very welcome and I’m glad this helps. Let me know if you have other questions I can help with!!
There’s completely deaf doctors out there that have digital stethoscopes
Ordering from India your best fit choice, pre ship program based on on line analysis & acquire programmer here in US.
Hey doc im currently traying aids but it sounds distorted like if my brain dosent get the sound right i have severe hearing loss and tinnitus any suggestions
Could mean that your programming isn't right. However, I know nothing about your hearing loss so it could be something else entirely.
If I have ear loss on both ears I should keep 2 machine or 1 is enough
dual .. always ..
what did you mean by "locking your (hearing aid) device"?
Watch my video about "Locked Hearing Aids"
I love to watch your Videos with my brand new Naida CI Connect ❤️😊
Love it Ali!!! Did you see my video on the Connect?
@@DrCliffAuD yes, I love this Video and the Ci Connect so much ❤️😊
Dr Cliff, I have hearing loss caused by loud noise over a number of years as a competitive shooter, down to 80db at 4,000. I'm 70 but still ski, run, bike and fish so I'd like a hearing aid that would fit that lifestyle. I have 2 homes that I split my time between depending on the season in Louisiana and Colorado. It appears no one uses your "best practices" around either one. I have gone to a number of audiologists and been unimpressed by their understanding of technology. I use a Pixel 3 XL as a cell phone. I'd like to get a recommendation from you as to what to do and would be happy to pay you a consulting fee. Rick
Hi Rick, I apologize but I no longer do remote consultations due to time constraints. If you let me know where in Colorado or Louisiana, I could get you referred to someone who is likely better than anyone you've seen before.

So I see the Nigerian Prince is helping you too eh?
😂🤣😂🤣
So I shouldn’t trust you? All you do is review hearing aids!
the worst mistake is listening to this guy, just buy those cheap hearing amplifiers for 90 bucks on Amazon instead of paying $2,000+ for doctor recommended hearing aids.
