I'm taking a trip to ohio in august. I'll spend 4 days(monday-thursday) at cedar point, then I'll take a greyhound(on friday) to cincinatti and spend 2 days (saturday/sunday) at kings island. Then flying back to Los Angeles on monday! I'm so stoked😊!
Honestly, Orion has a better first drop than fury. It’s 20ft shorter, but the steeper angle and quicker transition to its max angle is just better at popping you out of your seat.
Agree completely. I've always thought this and wondered why I felt like the only one. ha. While everything else (except maybe the helix) about Fury is clearly better to me, Orion for sure has the first drop won, especially in the back.
I'll take back row Orion over any seat in Fury any day of the week. Also Fury is too long, as evidenced by it BARELY finishing the layout until later in the evening on nearly untrimmed rides. Orion is drop to brakes intense. The drop angle is simply superior. Facts.
I love ORION! The first drop scares me every time feeling like I'm going to be flung out my seat to the ground below. The over banked turn on the far right side of the train also feels like I'm going to be thrown into the woods. The speed just seems to never decrease, just slightly on the turn around. I kinda am thankful for the little trim brake on the tall air tme hill because the positive G's on the helix without it I think could cause black outs. I gray out on it everytime.B&M packed a lot of punch into this ride and I personally think from the first drop to the air time finale before the brake run makes ORION the best. I'm not a fan of steel coasters that just twist from side to side or do quick low to the ground transitions like the last 1000 feet of Fury 325 or Pantheon.Others may like it and that's great but you can get on a wooden coaster like Mystic Timbers. Thanks for giving ORION the review it desreves. Love all of your videos!
I got a great night ride during Coasterstock. What a wonderful ride, though I often don't know what I like more, it or Diamondback. Both were great additions.
I don't know why so much hate is on Orion. I guess people expected more from Kings Island with their history of record breakers and first of a kind. I got to ride it last year, and it was my first giga. I think it's pretty amazing.
Kings Island is my home park. I love Orion. The first drop is spectacular. I rode Fury 325 which I loved also, but I feel Orion doesn’t receive the acclaim it truly deserves. Thank you for giving some praise to Orion. ( Maybe Orion is not as long as Fury 325, but it executes exhilaration in every ride). 😊
I thought this was a front row ride at any time. Felt way more intense in the front row to me. Great ride and I don't know why it gets the hate it does!
Me personally I found Orion to be underwhelming once I rode it more than once. My first ride blew me away with the speed, but once I really got a feel for the layout that speed from the first drop was all it really had going for it, wave turn does nothing, turn-around does nothing, the speed hill was good but it wouldn’t even be top 5 moments on mystic timbers, the floater hill with the trim did nothing, the Orion’s belt did nothing, then the best part of the ride aside from the drop is at the very end with that turn into the brakes. Overall I give it a 6/10 just cuz that first drop is what I consider to be the best moment on any ride in the park, but I still I greatly prefer Firehawk over Orion, RIP fly high big hawk 🕊️😔❤
As kings island is my hometown park when this was announced I was hyped, it’s super smooth and the first drop is INSANE definitely the best thrill ride at KI at the moment but the beast holds a special place in my heart as it was my first ever true thrill coaster and wooden!!
Love the video and want some ideas for videos for my UA-cam channel and want some tips on starting a vlog channel for me and Michael are thinking of move to Florida just us together someday and want to meet you some day at Disney land I like some rides
I love this ride. All the haters are just that. Orion is great. Yeah I can argue Diamondback is better, but this ride gets you the drop, the speed, the rush and a bit of airtime. I hate putting an order on things, but this ride is great!
Definitely think this coaster is over rated. It is my 4th favorite coaster in the park behind Mystic Timbers, Diamondback, and Banshee. Dont know how it was designed 5 years after Fury but it doesn't even come close to it at all
Fury is so overrated. When it hits it's long, drawn out helix, it's a sleeper. Intimidator 305 and Millennium are both way better than Fury. Not.even.close
@@kirbiasplays1081 intimidator 305 is my favorite giga for sure. But millennium definitely loses its punch out on the island with the few turnarounds before the second mini airtime hill. For me it's I305, then Fury, then Millennium Force for the 3 traditional gigas I've ridden at the moment
AHHHHHHHHH BRUHHH

Get that Beast night ride if you can. And row 17 (2nd last row) is the magic seat.

Fury’s first drop is at its best in the front row while Orion’s is back row. Fury’s drop feels longer because it’s not as steep.

@@greggheyer7171 you’re crazy dude Orion is easily the most boring coaster in the park 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 this is delusion at its finest
Great video. I love the background music being the perfect volume and your voice as well. Keep it up.
what a great video! i have lived in cincy for years now and to see someone appreciating kings island the way my family and i do is amazing
Such a solid Giga. Smooth, fast and the airtime was really good.
Totally agree with ya, this one is really fun. 👍

Orion is 👍👍 and just plain fun from drop to brakes. First drop in back row is seriously sustained floater, and maybe some of the best you can find
Great video! I enjoyed watching!
It is an absolutely amazing ride rode it Thursday night right after fireworks was absolutely amazing
KI is my home park and I love this ride.
I don't know why so much hate is on Orion. I guess people expected more from Kings Island with their history of record breakers and first of a kind. I got to ride it last year, and it was my first giga. I think it's pretty amazing.
No because there’s only three good moments on the ride

THAT'S WHAT YOU GET WILL
Agreed on all points!
Rode that for the first time in may, made me dizzy. I probably wouldn't ride it again. Good video

TAKE THIS TOO WILL
ARITIC RESCUE OPENS ON JUNE 2ND

Crazy I live in mason
TAKE THAT WILL
Also, Superman Escape from Krypton has the steepest drop for a giga at 90° 🤣 i classify it as a giga since you never get to 400'
Haven’t wrote it yet too scary
FIRST
Its more like a giga experience than a giga coaster. Now fury 325, that ride ####s

This is my home park great ride but diamondback 1 million times better
Orion is not underrated it’s so trash and it’s definitely overrated it’s so short and boring
