Facts! Night ride on the Beast is the best. As a Cincy girl it's not Kings Island if you don't ride the Beast I am also permanently disappointed at the Racer no longer running the backwards train. All around Kings Island is a great park. A favorite way to spend a free day.
The current version of The Bat at King's Island opened as "Top Gun" when Paramount owned the park. It was supposed to deliver the experience of flying in a fighter jet! I've always loved that ride!
People say Orion is so bad then turn around and say kings island has an elite coaster lineup it makes no sense. It’s by far the best coaster kings island has and the most underrated coaster in history
@@CoasterDash it is. People say such ridiculous things like it’s barely top 4 in the park It’s not even top 20 in the golden ticket awards it’s insanity. It’s not as good as Fury but it doesn’t need to be just to be considered a good coaster
this park holds so many precious memories for me i love it sm. growing up and getting taller every year until i was finally able to ride all the bigs rides with my family was the best feeling in the world. im 17 now and going here with friends instead of family is a different feeling but also extremely fun too.
I love your appreciation for KI. I basically share the same view you do for the park. Way easier to have a dope, stress-free day there than a park like Cedar Point. It’s why I like it better as an overall park. Best ops in the business and an amazingly-balanced coaster collection with quality top to bottom.
Hi, Ohio native here. I live right inbetween KI and CP, and I usually get to them both about once or twice. Personally, CP has a stronger lineup of rides, but KI is close behind. Overall, KI is so friendly to families and is a great time if you aren’t just There for coasters. If I had to pick, I would say kings island.
Growing up with KI as my home park I never really understood how special it was. Crazy hearing the perspective on this park from an outside view. Great video
Absolutely agree with the young man in the early part of the video. You’ve been doing great work and I have been thoroughly enjoying the channel. Regards and thanks to you and the ladies!
My home park. Wish you could have seen it in the early 80's with the original bat and king Cobra. Great memories growing up there with the old Beast buzz bars. 👍
this is like the only good thing to come out of Ohio the amusement parks i actually went to kings island multiple times, with my most recent trips being from Labor Day of 2023 and sometime during the summer of 2024, and had a blast there
kings island is my home park (literally live like 5 minutes away lol) and ever since working there i’ve found a newfound appreciation and interest in amusement parks and rides! i never realized as a kid how good KI is, im glad you guys had a good time :)
I haven't been able to go to Kings Island in about 3 years, I haven't seen the new additions Adventure Express' revamp looks amazing! I've always loved that ride just for how much it throws you around lmfao. The entrance is no longer hidden behind a ton of trees, but in a nice open space. I love that so much. I grew up in this park, definitely my favorite park in the world.
I went for the first time about a year ago. Of course my brother (a *HUGE* coaster fan) decided to go on a lot of things like Banshee, Orion, and I think The Beast. I hate heights (one of my biggest, if not my biggest fear) so I didn't.
I was at KI for the first time in over 30 years last week. Rode Vortex in its 2nd season, but it's gone now. The park is even better than I remembered. :)
Just spent two days at this park.. simply amazing. Mystic Timbers is my favorite but the top coasters are all so good! Banshee is wild, Diamondback is loaded with airtime, night ride on Beast is legendary and kind of terrifying…. Such a great park
This is also my home park, and you mentioned something I had never even thought of right at the end. "Have either of you even seen a piece of trash?" I did not realize that I have taken it for granted that the park is as pristine clean as it always is. Literally, I never even *think* of trash being around. Damn. I really am spoiled.
I'm wondering the same thing. My understanding is that it's not necessarily a Cedar Fair thing, it's the state of Ohio that doesn't allow cameras on rides outside of a few exceptions like a roller coaster's media day.
13:23 was the funniest part 😂 "Orion got me like" 24:14 They should of just had a worker pushing each train up the lifthill. The Beast being closed is unacceptable 😂
Planning to make it here this summer. But I haven’t been to Cedar Point since 2011 and went coaster mania 2023. Driving back to lighthouse point I was so hype. Got there right before sunset. It was just beautiful
Finally!!! Someone who agrees with me on Orion! It gets so much hate for absolutely no reason - it’s a fast, smooth, and intense giga. What more could you want?
Went with my husband and 2 kids 30 or more years ago. The beast was the first ride we went on. Waiting over 2 hours to get on it. It made us all sick. We are seasoned rider going to Cedar Point for years. The ride was so rough throwing your head around and banging on the seat. It was the worst ride we ever had. Took us all day to recover. My kids still mention it was the worst. I hope it s been improved. Planning on making a trip there next year to take my grandkids.
Great video! Im very familiar with this park. I like the Beast a lot. Adventure Express and Beast both have 2 lift hills and Backlot Stunt Coaster has 2 launches. @@CoasterDash I live about 40 min from Kings Island. It feels like they have only one train running more than they have two, but I'm glad that hasn't been the case for you. The re tracking really has revitalized this ride and has restored it to what people must have raved about in 1972
been my hometown park most my life ....had a season pass every year since 1990s....rumors are they plan to build a new coaster in the spot where vortex used to be... i hope so vortex was a fun one
I went here a couple weeks ago and finally got on orion and i was blown away. Ive been on over 200 roller coasters and orion is currently my number nine, best giga not named fury 325
orion is very scary, was my first ever rollercoaster because i was blindfolded in line. i am traumatized from it but i still ride the classics like racers, adventure express, stunt coaster!
diamondback will always be my favorite ride. invertigo makes me sick unfortunately i can’t do it anymore it used to be so popular when i was growing up. mystic timbers was something i rode when it first opened and i wasn’t like super blown away and i agree with the shed placement. adventure express is something i rode as i grew up and it continues to be janky lol. i wish it didn’t end when it did it makes me upset lol its like mystic.i don’t think i’ve rode orion yet but it looks amazing. i was so pleased with the racer upgrade as well it is sooo much more smooth and i can enjoy it now that im old lol. the beast had some referbs as well however i got badly bruised on it on my most recent trip. it was not fun so if your riding it be careful
It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Kings Island. I went there when Paramount owned and the last time I went there, Cedar Fair had just bought it. The first time I rode the Beast, it jarred me around so much that it left a bruise on me. That was back in 1999. And I rode Invertigo the same year. It was called Face Off then as Paramount owned it and it was named after the movie. And the G forces from the roller coaster gave me such a headache. This how long it’s been since I’ve been there as diamondback was one of their newest roller coasters at the time. But always enjoy watching your videos ❤
And I do agree that Kings Island is a beautiful park! The theming and the landscaping is amazing. We have a Bat at my home park Six Flags Magic Mountain.. well it Ninja. It’s not scary but it’s hella fun
rides not ridden during this video: snoopys pumpkin coaster mini beasty (what it’s called) woodstocks great adventure stunt coaster the beast that’s all that i caught!!
This is my local park and I have a pass. I think I take it for granted and it was very cool to hear your opinions. You should've seen it when it was Paramount themed
Kings island in Mason Ohio is my favorite amusement park. I go every summer & fall for the Halloween themed attractions/haunted houses. I live in Ohio so I may be biased.
How do you feel about the in line twist at the end of bamshee? So 2012/2013 b and m. X flight has one too. I prefer zero g rolls that throw you up into them so you're weightless rather than dangling
This park, Cedar Point and SFGA N.J. are the three best parks I've been to from the ability to ride multiple elite coasters multiple times, but Kings Island has the best atmosphere and operations of any park I've visited, bar none. But the back right hand side is where to ride these coasters, not in the front. Thanks for posting!
Thank you for watching! 🎢

rides not ridden during this video:
snoopys pumpkin coaster
mini beasty (what it’s called)
woodstocks great adventure
stunt coaster
the beast
that’s all that i caught!!
So bummed you guys didn't get a ride on the beast
This is my local park and I have a pass. I think I take it for granted and it was very cool to hear your opinions. You should've seen it when it was Paramount themed
My park. Love the BEAST!!!
13:17 LMAO THESE KIDS 😭
The answer to that question, is yes. With explosions behind the letters.
Not me skipping through the POVs because I’m going to the park for the first time soon and I want to be surprised on the layouts
Kings island in Mason Ohio is my favorite amusement park. I go every summer & fall for the Halloween themed attractions/haunted houses. I live in Ohio so I may be biased.
going for the first time the 25th! very very hyped!
Couldn’t agree more! Thanks for watching 🙌🏻
