The dads reaction was so lovely when the mom told him the kids were in bed asleep. His face lit up with pride and he just pointed at her like "you rock!"
Parents are very creative! I'm a single parent by choice, but I didn't vow to celibacy lol. My kids have never once met someone I had over because I'm extremely careful. So I'm sure two adults living together can figure something out. 😂
I like how the parents didn't try to defend themselves and took Joe's advice I'm board. The mom needs to summon up more energy and backbone but once she steps up to the plate I think the kids will also appreciate her softer and more nurturing qualities !
The fact that the mom allows them to disrespect their grandma makes me cringe. That was one of my biggest rules, you never disrespect grandma or anyone for that matter. 😱
@21.27 I love it when Jo takes over and shows them who is boss. The way she pulled the kid down the stairs and then put her in the corner and said "she'll do as she's told". Love it!

I know plenty of great parents who co-slept with kids, in fact, it was common centuries ago, and Eskimos and Mongolians yurt dwellers still do it, but the issue is the kids have to be helped to g-r-o-w., not demand "mommy slumber party or else!" Hopefully they can establish greater security in the girls as they stand firm, loving and united, not letting the kids call the shots.
You CAN’T sleep in your own bed, not only how insane is that but also how sad is that. Can you imagine saying you CAN’T use/do your own things you wanted/wanted to do?
The 4 yr old is going to need braces because mom and dad have allowed her to use the pacifier for 4 YEARS!! And mow the added costs of orthodontist bills and braces - because you "didn't want to deal with her"!! Goid choice folks!! This is one of the most ridiculous. Those children were far from difficult. The mother was ridiculous and such an enabler. Perhaps depression but if so not an overnight thing. This has gone on for years. Look how easily that pacifier was removed. Look how easily they all went to sleep and then compare to other episodes. This if not depression was extreme laziness or the mum wanting to enable them and keeping her "babies,'. Definitely something not right with the mum..
She def needed professional help. They tried to blame sleep deprivation for her strange demeanor but I also felt like she was depressed or something. Dad seemed so lovely and supportive but I also felt like she was hiding out between her kids at night to avoid any sexual contact. 😂
When we had this issue with our oldest, we put an 8x10 framed picture of us beside her bed and told her that mommy and daddy were watching over her. We would put her back to bed and assure her we were still there. I worked and we all got sleep
@Ri-ul7nb But it's the Mom that isn't willing to put any discipline in. If dad is the only one doing it, no kid wants to be near dad, it's always going to be "mom let's me do this so i want mom"
OMG…THANK YOU FOR THIS GREAT COMMENT!!! I have commented on so many videos asking the same question, “WHY DON’T PARENTS NIP THE BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS FROM DAY ONE?” It seems that so many parents are just simply LAZY, they basically do not play with their children like they should. What happened that children are not taught about kindness, rules, the importance of having respect for others, manners, not to talk back, especially to MOM & DAD and at the same time teaching them the phrase, “HOW WOULD THEY LIKE IF THE WAY THEY TREAT OTHERS & FAMILY & PEOPLE IN GENERAL IF EVERYONE DID THE SAME TO THEM. TO ME DISRESPECTING ELDERS, MOM & DAD OR PEOPLE IN GENERAL IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. BIG #1 RULE THAT ALL ACTIONS/BEHAVIOR COMES WITH CONSEQUENCES.
I have no kids and my first thoughts are usually what Jo suggests. It is just common sense I would think. I sometimes wonder how parents don‘t see this. Perhaps distance to the children helps.
Alot of them are people pleasers in general, and they don't realize that they can't be like that with kids. This is also why most of them don't stand up their spouses about the issues in the marriage and need Jo to talk for them.
I can't believe how much they were putting up with! Coming in to my room at 12 - crying - cause you want mommy... OH HELL NOOO! You come to wake me up at midnight - the house better be on fire!
My daughter never took the pacifier, but my son did. I was soooo blessed with him when it came to disposing of the binkie. At 2 years old, he literally just walked up to me one day, reached out and handed me the binkie and said, "Here, mommy. I don't need this anymore.", and just walked away and never looked back!
