Every summer me and the kids in the neighbourhood would go and play till dark. Football, chalk games, bikes and scooters and playing in the park across the road yet this is what those kids need to be doing
This episode aired April of 2009. Damon is now (December 31, 2023) 21 years old, Dante is 19 years old, and Gianna is 17 years old. Hope they're all doing well.
The mom's comment, "I thought it would be easy." It took three kids to figure it out that it's not easy to raise/discipline kids. She should have stopped after the first one.
She had them close In age… they were probably easy babies.. My son didn’t start getting “harder” to deal with until he was about 2-3. He’s 6 now and the worse he’s ever been but nowhere near as bad as these kids on super nanny 😭
Dante is so physical to Gianna when she’s not even doing anything and it makes me sad. She’s not doing anything to him and he’s whipping her and punching her. At the begining he was even beating her up. Unacceptable 😢
Kids act out when they’re bored and also to get attention from their parents, mum was so disconnected and gave them barely any attention only when they were in trouble. Mum seems depressed I feel bad for her but she was making the kids miserable too
@@jessschwarze8126I definitely agree with on this one. Plus on top of that kids pick up things from the parents and if the parents aren’t doing anything then the kids are going to get into trouble to make the parent be involved!
What did you become parents for with that logic 😂😂 “because we thought it would be easy” since when was raising another human being physically , mentally, and emotionally easy 🤦🏻♀️
nope, us either. We'd eat it or starve. Simple. My brother and I grew up to be the most un-fussy eaters ever. We literally eat anything and we have mum to thank for that.
I have watched hundreds of Supernanny shows (love all of them). However, today was the first time I cried, for mom & dad. They seemed to reconnect. Bless you mom & dad, for working on this together. ♥️
And it's proof that being childfree needs to be more normalized. Most of the parents on this show are the perfect example of people who just had kids because they were following the life script and doing what society expected of them. Not because they actually really wanted to be parents.
It's actually the opposite for me. It shows me the exactly the opposite type of parenting to avoid, all kids just push because they need to know the boundaries
It seems like 90% of the parents of these shows are not doing well as parents because their relationship is strained, and its always because the fathers have this attitude like everything pertaining to the kids is the mom's job.
Don just *DOES NOT* want to change his behavior in order to help his own children. Unbelievable. Sabotaging *EVERYTHING* Jo has put into place because it's "too hard." Wow.
Someone earlier up in the comments posted that they divorced and mom remarried. Not sure how much truth there is to that, but after watching this I wouldn't doubt it
In their defense, I don’t think anyone actually knows how to “parent”. However, I do give them credit for reaching out for help. That’s the first step. Because obviously they can’t go back in time and not have kids. Nor can they just give them away.
This marriage is obviously doomed. Why does the mother behave like she’s in prison - she claims she can’t go outside (with that beautiful yard?!) and never takes the kids out anywhere, which is so weird. The kids are reacting to parents that are completely checked out. The parents also speak in the strangest monotone, which suggest extreme depression and likely other mental health issues. The mother’s constant referencing to “breaking” is not positive, and her ridiculous idea that kids should just “behave” like she did points to major issues with her own mental health.
And he couldn’t follow simple directions, like first you sabotage the technique and even when you decide to do them you do them wrong multiple times like that’s actually insane, imma stop blaming the kids for their behaviour lol
I'm 41 and chose to not have kids. I constantly get asked why not and then I ask the person why they DO have kids. They usually don't have an answer and am shocked that I even asked in the first place.
No,.but it does lead to the question, why does marriage even exist any more? Half of all kids are illegitimate anyway, and more and more marriages are childless, and all marriage does is keep.divorce lawyers rich. Maybe it's time to abolish it. While we're at it, establish.kibbutz-type boarding schools in which all kids are raised so that idiot parents don't screw up the job.
Well to keep the show and their jobs there needs to be some sort of money to pay everyone. Doing the work for free would be great but it would be much harder to pay the workers with no money to begin with.
I was going to make the same comment. Maybe they just don't look good on the show, it's always very fancy houses, and maybe poorer kids are better disciplined.
Children and dogs need exercise and fresh air and vigorous play. If theyre outside from sunup to sundown theyre healthier, happier and easier to handle.
I used to play out on the street outside my house almost everyday sometimes until it started getting dark outside and I loved it. I’m 18 now and I barely leave the house unless it’s to take my dogs to the park or shopping, I just can’t think of anything to do outside the house that doesn’t involve spending money
People get beaten down in life sometimes. Then they slowily over time give up. The husband got cold and the wife's eye glazed over, and the kids didn't know how to play outside.Interesting. I didn't like the guy at first but he really tried and changed his attitude. There is hope for this family, and I hope they are doing well. Habits are so hard to change.
If that was my yard , I'd run & swim them silly . Children are living beings, they need fresh air & sunshine in order to thrive & be tired & hungry at the end of the day.

Jo had to muzzle the father. That is actually really sad. I understand having the last word when dealing with people, buy you really have to tough talk your kids like that, really?
What is wrong with that mother?! What is the expression, like how dare you punish my son?! They asked for help from supernanny, but when she took her place to educate the son of they both, they did not feel appreciated and ashamed, they oppositely look very unglad and shocked, then why did they call for help?! Shameful, they still don’t recognise their mistake, arrogant people.
