    It's very important for shows like this to stay on the air because it's educational for parents to learn more about how to handle their kids.

      If only parents REALLY paid attention. So many tell Super Nanny they are doing correct "naughty chair." While they keep arguing with the kid instead of quietly waking away. Then the hug, explanation of why they were there, and apology... Or maybe I mixed up timing for explanation. With my kids, and now my grandkids, they all know that if I say it, I mean it. And that includes ice cream handed out when the grandkids are behaving. Which they don't do for their parents. Must not have done something right ...

    I love how the kids are watching Jo with interest when she's being stern and cranky with the mother. The kids aren't laughing, they're very interested and getting into it. The kids are learning the laughing doesn't work

    • @Fidi987
      @Fidi987 4 місяці тому +1

      Great, so the kids are being taught on-camera to not take her mother seriously because another adult has demonstrated that she can just walk all over the mother and the mother just has to take it. Great lesson to the kids!
      Also, "laziness" can have so many reasons, ADD, being overwhelmed, exhaustion, depression. Those should be taken into account. "You are lazy" means, "you just have to perform, not matter how hard it is for you, I don't care about YOUR feelings, only your kids' feelings". This could be internalized by the mother as "I don't matter, I have to push away any feeling of being overwhelmed, of sadness, distress, exhaustion - I just have to go on functioning, as I am the mother".
      Then, 5 to 10 years later, everybody is surprised when the mom suffers from burnout and refuses to be treated, because she internalized "I must never show weakness, exhaustion, overburdening - because I am an adult!"

      Agreed! Like honestly, where IS the common sense? It’s understandable not ever having taken care of anybody if you were the youngest sibling, but that doesn’t take away from the ability to simply use your brain to tell how things aught to be done. But watching this show I have learned to be more sympathetic towards these parents because they genuinely have no clue and I guess that’s fair, which is why they sought help.
      But imagine those parents who don’t seek help, those are the ones who raise entitled, combative, abusive, did I mention ENTITLED, people who think they can get away with lack of respect and anything.

      Having kids is the most basic fundamental human experience we’ve had since the beginning of time. Do some people struggle with it? Ofcourse, same way people struggle with other things. I have 4, first one I had at 21 years old. My children don’t behave like this. It’s not that hard, some people are just clueless. Number 1 thing to do, follow through with punishment and don’t be lazy. If you do those two, you’ll be fine.

      You don't want to start getting children when your body is getting worn out, you want to have them when you still strong enough physically too.
