- For the second time in two years, we are going to have to move.... well, maybe. Getting kicked out of the house was not our choice or our doing, and this is definitely not pointing fingers at the home owner. They have been so respectful. Things just happen and I cannot wait to see the reason why this has come across us.
As for anyone reading this far, I am happy to be back vlogging about things that happen in my life in hopes to document it to help others and for myself to look back on. The other day, I saw the question "what videos would you make if no one was watching?" and I said these types. The ones that are real and true and hold meaning to me. I will still speak on topics that I am passionate about and give advice but I love the life I live and I would love to share it. I hope you enjoy even if our journey is a little stressful right now

It’s such a strange situation to be. Renting is such a struggle anymore prices are constantly going up and it’s getting harder to get somewhere “nice” yet ok value. Buying a home seems like it won’t happen for a lot of people nowadays. I hope the viewing today goes good 🤞 it’s so nice to see how comfortable Angelica is on camera in vlogs now
Yeah it’s a weird situation but obviously I’m still thankful we have family to crash with and what not!
So SO sorry for the stress you’re going though! I am in the EXACT same boat right now and it’s extremely odd to be packing up your life, still looking for a place while knowing at the same time that you can’t stay in the home you feel comfortable in due to someone else’s choice and decision.
Ahh well I’m glad I’m not alone in this but I’m also sorry you’re going through it haha

I am genuinely sorry to hear this. I that rent prices have gone sky high recently even if that may not be the issue. I genuinely hope things will work out. I do have empathy and concern for you both.

Also, i am so sorry for you both! We live in terrible and uncertain times where cruelty and selfishness are dominant.
It is refreshing and healthy that you have matured and grown to appreacite the things you have and which are in your own control and do not let frustration in your way to finding logical solutions.

I am going through this very same situation. I have been looking for other properties and was hoping that my landlord would sell the property to an investor who wanted to rent it to us but sadly I don't think that it is happening now.

While I've rented for over 25 years, I've never been "forced out" of a rental. This has to be a really terrible feeling. I hope things go well for you, but here in Canada we all go through "the move"; thankfully you'll get at least the 60 days required by the LTB. Wishing you good thoughts!
My mom and I are also being forced to move, my grandpa died in October and he had a house, my mom was trying to get it but the numbers weren’t good so she gave up, turns out my aunt is buying some of the property (it’s 4 1/2 acres) so now my mom can get it! We move in in May! It’s a perfect home for us, needs some updating but it’s amazing! Just saying this because I know how stressful it can be but God will put the right house there for you.

As a local to Ottawa I'm feeling all of the housing market stress, my partner and I were lucky to move before things started climbing and have quickly come to the realization we may be stuck in this rental for a very long time as we can't afford current rent prices or to buy
Yup it really changed my entire mindset! But hopefully it all aligns
This happened to me a few years ago…. And it was an awful lot of stress, we only found and affordable home on the last week of the notice time…. My advice is, if you made a house feel like your home, you can do it again, it helps not to get hung up on the house you lost!

Buy the house together. The price sounds reasonable compared to toronto prices. The lot alone is worth it. I bought my first condo with a stretch but came to make a great profit when I sold it a few years later.
