Hi Crystal, I was curious about the dehydrating in my Breville since it has that feature and I had a question about it. I looked everywhere for an answer with no luck so started looking at dehydrators. My goodness the one I was looking at was 200.00 dollars with accessories. I about crapped at the price. Then I remembered that you had the same Breville as I do and your video is what answered my question. There is only one slot for dehydrating and I wondered if I could use four and you showed me that I could. Thank you so so much. 44.00 dollars versus 200.00. A no brainer. 👍😃
Thank you for this informative video. Your presentation was excellent and I appreciated the care you took with the video portion. I will definitely check out your other videos!
Been thinking about getting this Smart Oven. Ate my first store bought dehydrated apples today and thought I'd see if I could do it with the Breville. Good job. Thanks.
@@MyGadgetKitchen Thanks! I appreciate your well-explained advice for making them. On a different note, have you experienced any issues with the dehydrating baskets? I am seeing mixed reviews on Williams Sonoma and the Breville site. Thanks. :)
New subbie, thanks a ton for this video, I was ready to try Apple Chips but had no clue about time/temp. Worth a mention: I have an electrically powered mandoline slicer. The design (just like my manual model) incorporates a box below, to catch all the food you've sliced -there's even a lid so you can store food in fridge or freezer. Super convenient, fast... highly recommended.
NYCBrat hey there! Thanks for subscribing! I'm glad you liked the video! I know what gadget you speak of. I have two food processors and a veggie bullet, so I won't be buying it. It's pretty cool tho! Thanks so much for watching and commenting ☺
Hello. I have the same oven. Have you found that you use the dehydrate feature frequently and, if so, do you think that running it for the many hours it takes, raises your electric bill?
My Gadget Kitchen w/Chrystal thank you. Because I DO NOT have space for yet another appliance! Just bought an All American Canner the other day. Feels like I bought a train and I bought almost the smallest one.
How did you order 3 extra trays and then have them arrive before the video was even complete? That's fast shipping. Also these are like $500. You people who buy these must make really good money.
I just got my oven and was looking for this recipe specifically, thank you for sharing and I can't wait to see the rest of your videos!

Sill using the Breville? Sill recommended it? I'm thinking about purchasing one.
Yes & yes 😊
Does it work with soaking it with water
Crystal, your apple chips sound so crispy and look delicious.
great video my new friend, thank for sharing
Thanks for watching 😊
Oo..yum ! I love apple chips and these look delicious. Love that oven :) Thanks for sharing!
Mel's Simple Meals thanks so much! This oven is AMAZING!
How long do your apple chips store successfully with your dehydrator?
Could you keep them in longer and make apple powder? Thanks!
Sorry I'm not sure about either of those questions. I did this a few years ago.
@@MyGadgetKitchen Thank you for responding! Appreciate it!
Mmm yum.. Paper Towel Apple Crisps
Hello. I have the same oven. Have you found that you use the dehydrate feature frequently and, if so, do you think that running it for the many hours it takes, raises your electric bill?
No I don't dehydrate a lot, but this doesn't use enough power to raise your power bill. Dehydrate is a very low setting
My Gadget Kitchen w/Chrystal thank you. Because I DO NOT have space for yet another appliance! Just bought an All American Canner the other day. Feels like I bought a train and I bought almost the smallest one.
Hi. Have you tried dehydrating oranges and if so, was the temp/time similar?
No I have not. Sorry
Awesome
I did some apples overnight at 125 for about 10 hours last night. First time. They were great but stuck to the pan.
Yummylicious Apple Chips Chrystal, I can go for some!
Perfect healthy snack after all this holiday food! 😂
These look tasty! This has been on my todo list way too long! Tomorrow is the day!
binkybaby007 it was on my to do list for months! This was the last cooking feature left to try
My Gadget Kitchen My mandolin sucks!🙄 I’ll take a stab at it after I purchase the one you used in this vid. Thanks for the link.
Nice
Does anyone have trouble with a lot a fog not escaping in the their Breville in dehydrate mode? What's your solution instead of crack open the door?
Condensation will form on the glass. That's normal. Steam releases on it's own.
Fun video
Thank you 😊
⭐
You cant dehydrate on 86 degrees?
Bobby Light 86-176 is the range
Realize you’re not supposed to have anything on top of your oven or are you just storing it there for till you use it.
