His acceleration is elite. He separates himself from the defense so fast
I noticed he has a good stride coupled with fast churning hips... that's the combination for elite acceleration. Alot of guys got a long stride or powerful hips. Not alot have both.
Facts. If you watch his 40 video at the combine his initial burst is just crazy

His vision is so freaking good! What’s crazy is that his speed and vision was like this in his freshman year in college!
Taylor is the best RB I’ve seen in a long time. Henry is great but he relies heavily on his power. Taylor has an equal balance of power, speed, agility, vision, and shiftiness. He’s exactly what you want in a RB. If you could create the perfect ideal RB Taylor is it. He’ll go down as one of the best to ever do it. Best RB I’ve seen since prime Adrian Peterson & LT.
@Kiingme30 I think he has shown flashes. The injuries have definitely hampered him though.
JT is insane. He's a faster LT and a smoother AP molded into one. There's very few backs who are a legit threat to score every time they touch the ball and right now it's JT, Derrick Henry, and Nick Chubb. And JT is better than both of them.

@@isaacdagoat2169 Henry is great but JT is better. Even before Henry got hurt last year JT was averaging over a yard more per carry, had more yards after contact, more broken tackles and way more 20+ yard runs. Henry has power and getaway speed but he doesn't have the agility JT has.
Great season from Taylor overall highlighted with that 5 TD game performance. He was very consistent this season 💪.
that game shows why he is on a different level he literally did everything showed great flexibility and hands catching the bad throw for a td he powered the pile forward he had a crazy good vision td he has no weakness in his game.
I had him on fantasy and I got 53 points on the 5 tds it was amazing!

I knew he was gonna be a beast I been watching him since he was at Wisconsin I thought he was the best running back in his draft class I'm glad he's showing how good he is hope to see him ball like this for a decade

@ripodwk he just hot injured last season and this season has been banged up too. The games he has been healthy nobody can stop him still.
He plays fearlessly. No hesitation. Hits the hole. Doesn't go down easily and never stops driving. Doesn't avoid contact but isn't a meat head either. Pleasure to watch.
I love seeing lineman so enthusiastic to go pick up their running back. Surely it motivates him to run even harder.

He is smooth. Great vision, timley cuts and deceptive speed. The strength and ability to hop up after a tackle.. he does it all protected himself when needed to go down and the hands to catch. Wow

@@versatillion15 If you watch him run he is a patient runner with quick feet following blockers, cutting, never showing a burst of speed full stride until necessary. The defense takes poor angles before he busts out of his blocks. He's an amazing RB. Honestly haven't watched much film on him but what I've seen is enough to say he is special. Obviously subjective just my take
One of the things I love about Jonathan Taylor is that he doesn’t do dumb stuff after plays that earn him unsportsmanlike conducts and other penalties.

Great running backs should have different contract standareds. Their contracts should be front heavy if they prove themselves in first 2 years. Take away the current 'rookie' 5 year contracts for RB's. It just makes sense because this dude deserves real fb star pay.

Same here brother... he was my keeper from last yr..3rd rnd. I am praying for the 1st pick this yr. I have Javonte Williams as my keeper..7th rounnd. My team was stacked last yr. Kamara, JT, Justin Jefferson, Dak, Amon-Ra (picked him up last 2 weeks of season), ....let's do it again this year.
The runs against the NE, Jets & Bills were more enjoyable, we gotta get him 🐬💯
Favorite running back - new he was gunna be a beast ! And that coming from nyc ( love to see him here ) but man he reminds me of Marshall Faulk when he was younger and played for the Colts for its time with the Rams, because yeah he can also catch the ball out of the backfield very well and he’s also a very good pairs protector on top of everything else love Barkley but these young bloods are fresh - 3-5 years is a running backs prime on average - 🤷🏻♂️

to be honest. the blocking in the run game by the colts where pretty good including the downfield blocking was good too. JT got all the skills needed for when everything is just right he gone break it for a long run.
Its almost like he can see his run before it even happens. Andhis reaction speed is insane. A bunch of those runs should have been stopped but he's just different in the best way

The Line was inconsistent all year long and on top of that had many injuries. Therefore it wasn’t the best.

Yep and don't forget Taylor only had the starting 5 OL men for only 6 games all year. It's 90% Taylor and 10% OL he's the best simple as that.

Jt is something special Derrick Henry is so good because of his size and speed but the thing about Jt is he fights for every single yard and his vision is the best we’ve seen from a running back in a while and he’s quick!

He does everything well but my favorite piece of his game is that he knows when to go down, most rbs simply don’t.
And it ends up in them getting hurt I am a RB for my age and yea fight for extra yardage but your ankle is twisted with somebody on it stuck in the turf and the defense all coming for you go down cause 99% of the time your prolly gonna tear or break something

As of right now even as a Colts fan I can’t quite put Taylor over Henry as the best back in the league after what Henry has done. However Taylor had a far more versatile skill set than Henry. Henry just uses his size and straight line speed. Taylor also uses his size but also his balance, agility, acceleration, and his game breaking speed. Whoever produces more this next year will be crowned the king RB
We have to remember, Matty never had a running back as close as great to John Taylor....his life is officially made easier this year.
