When we first drafted him I’m not gonna lie I was like “why do we draft a running back?” But after the end of the regular season I was like “JONATHAN TAYLOR IS A GROWM MAN!!”

As a diehard Niner fan, i see a lot of Frank Gore in this guy, except he’s faster. Patient, smart, hits the hole with force, and keeps his legs moving. Colts fans, you guys are lucky

Marlon Mack learned from Frank Gore 1st couple of yrs. Taylor learned from Mack. He learned to be more patient and run low as season progressed.
Taylor is from my county, bunch of my friends had to play him and got smoked every time lol

Drafted Taylor in fantasy last year and saw the potential…this year I drafted him first overall and ppl thought I was crazy but Taylor keeps proving why he was worth it.

@Davis yes O line definitely plays a part but he's also doing it against defences that are scheming heavily against the run. I think the thing that people don't acknowledge is his vision and play recognition, aside from the obvious physical attributes he's very good at picking the right gaps to run into, when to cut, when to be patient and wait for the O line to do their thing
@Davis the difference with henry is henry was a benchwarmer for those years

I was surprised like I thought jt was gonna go first round I was like this is that Wisconsin guy I saw him on tv like once or twice that man a beast when he came to the colts I could not believe it
He fell because of a few issues which are totally understandable: 1. he had fumbling problems throughout his college career that he just never cleaned up. 2. He wasn't featured much as a pass catcher - not that he couldn't do it, they just never used him that way much at all. 3. People were concerned about how much mileage he put on throughout college and were hesitant to take a guy if he was going to get injured right away.
The explosiveness in his game in college though was unparalleled and could score from anywhere on the field. Pound for pound he was also top 2 in his class among the strongest runningbacks so he's easily able to be a tackle breaker at the next level. The Colts simply couldn't pass up Jonathan Taylor in the second round granted the offensive line he played behind in college and very few people who actually followed him through college doubted he would be a star for the Colts when he was drafted by them.
UW fan here.... I’m just saying he’s only getting started. Dudes an absolute beast.

He can catch, he can run, he can break tackle after tackle, he is physical, he is agile, and he is fast. As a Falcons fan, I can’t wait for Matt Ryan to play for the Colts. Johnathan Taylor is incredible.

Watched him through college as a Wisconsinite myself and this is no surprise. Taylor did this ever Saturday since the first game he played for the Badgers. It is funny that he probably played with better lines in college than in the pros so far. Taylor, Cam Akers, J.K Dobbins and AJ Dillon look to be the cream of this draft class and great values in the 2nd round. That draft year is going to be remembered for its RBs as much as any other position.
Man I miss watching him play when he was with the badgers but I’m happy he got a good team that play him because he’s just so good, love the colts coming from a packer fan take care of him

Thanks for the video. When Taylor was drafted I was like "why?" But it turns out Taylor is absolutely amazing. If he stays healthy, he will be one of the best in the game for years to come.
in college he played all four years and never had any injury. never missed practice. he’s the real deal. only game he missed this season was a covid related one.
Totally agree, when we drafted him I thought "what"??? Yeah, now we see why! The guy has rare power/speed and with the his vast improvement in vision/patience the back half of the season he looks like a top 3 back for the next few years

This is an awesome JT highlight, my favorite RB for sure. He's a huge talent. ... but damn! This made me a bigger Quinton Nelson fan. His work ethic and hustle are awesome. They make for an exciting dynamic. Like, Harry Potter and Hagrid or something.

The colts will be in every game no matter who they play with that kind of play from JT. First player ever to score 5 tds on a #1 rated defense in NFL HISTORY

Colts aren't far away from legitimately contending beyond the playoffs! They snag a LT in the draft, get a savy mobile veteran QB and they will be off an running on the shoulders of JT! Reich needs to clean some decision making up and be less predictable in his play selections especially when games get tight. Grab a real starting corner in the draft and just fill some small holes and I believe the Colts will be a force!
