@@AlexVenuse "Challenge accepted." I wasn't planning on leaving this reply (I was about to ask the person who made the comment if they Just Forgot all that stuff about Steichen scheming it do AR5 _could_ progress like that).
But there's another QB I feel is on the same tier as him that has been undone by his play-calling or so I claim. But for some reason everyone refuses to look at it. First, Caleb Williams is supposedly better than them all. Yet the other QB shown in ua-cam.com/video/5JO1PsupF_U/v-deo.html is _clearly_ more accurate & a better rusher.
He also has the ability to fling the ball 50+ air yards with a flick of the wrist as well thread the ball between defenders to hit targets ua-cam.com/video/AFpyUpgpxcI/v-deo.html in a way that one normally needs to watch Dan Marino highlights to see.
Yet this QB gets blamed for every bad thing that happens to his _team._ Weeks 8-10 of '22 the team Led Thew League in scoring but lost all 3 games. "This proves he can't win" was what people said. The play at 22.45 of ua-cam.com/video/FiiK21VzI_o/v-deo.html happened more than once this game, in other games as did all the plays prior to it where the o-line simply allows multiple pass-rushers through unblocked.
"He holds onto the ball too long" is supposed to apply to QBs in clean pockets with open receivers. He's blamed for not dropping the ball while avoiding sacks his own teammates set him up receive. Can you imagine Tom Brady succeeding with those o-line plays?
That's just what's on film. There's more that isn't. I've been asking around. The fact that no one answers this makes me think I'm onto something. Does PFF or any other grading system even count blocks that o-linesmen don't attempt? Because how else can the Bears play like that & be rated anything but dead last?
There's still more. But that's plenty. Either play-calling matters or it doesn't. Either Shane Steichen has No Effect on AR5's progress or someone needs to explain how a different set of play-calls used to make the Bears the #1 offense in the entire NFL got cancelled & they returned to using ones proven to fail.
It's an idea for a longer-form study than you're used to making. But if Fields gets to start this season & proves it all right, won't _you_ look prescient?

As a colts fan also. The man hasn't made it through a season without some sort of injury. It could very well be due to genetics. I hope this is not true because him and steichen can do something special.

@@RipliWitaniwas beating stroud in Week 2 by scoring 2 TDs in the first 5 minutes of the game. Would have likely beat Stafford in OT had the coin flip gone his way with how well he played that 2nd half.

Thank you for a wonderful film study!! Just like the other teams in the AFC South, the Colts will be improved in 2024. The parity in this division is palpable, but as always, will depend on QB play. I think the Colts made a fortuitous decision in signing Joe Flacco!! Wish AR the best in playing a full season, but now we have a backup that has proven success. I think this combo will be very successful under Steichen’s management. Heading for the Playoffs!!! 🙏👏👏😎🇺🇸

Excellent breakdown and film study. That play that ended his season was on first down. There should never be a designed OB run on first down so early (or really at all) in a game. Especially when Jonathan Taylor was back. AR already said he doesn't plan on changing his playing style, which kinda scares me.
