Darren has said before that the video for this song was seen as ‘too gay’ and had to be reshot to this. The reason for his hair being straight is his natural curls made him look ‘too gay’. It’s the early 2000s and I thought we were much more accepting back then than the record publishers would think. Now you can understand why his latest album is called Homosexual ! F u 2000s record labels.

Darren has said this wasn't meant to be the first single. Dirty was eyed up as the lead single, but after 9.11 he wanted to put "more love" into the world and so they pivoted to this track instead. Dirty would've really shown a different side of him and probably taken his solo career in a different direction.
