A good balanced review! Regarding the lighting, you can get IR lights that the PS VR2 cameras can pick up for low-light or no-light situations. I have two Tendelux IR Illuminators that are nearly invisible to the eye (850 nm wavelength), but when in the headset in pure dark, it looks like the room is fully illuminated.
@@grahamkelly8662 This is the one I picked up and mounted in my living room. Mounted it up high near the ceiling and pointed it facing down about 10 degrees. Works great for playing in a pitch black room.

I like my PSVR2 but I hate how Sony's handling it post launch. No dedicated VR media player? We cannot watch "stuff" in VR? Also there really needs to be a $150 price cut soon. According to the Capcom leaks it only cost Sony $5,000,000 to make RE:7 VR. Why are they not working on ports of God of War, Ratchet & Clank or Spiderman? We don't want gimmick spin offs like Horizon: Call of the Mountain, we want FULL PS5 games converted to VR! Gran Tursimo? Stunning. Resident Evils 8/4? Mind blowing. Keep em coming.
I want to get one for GT7 but to spend $600 on this only for one game is a tough pill to swallow. There is currently no other game i want to play on it as of now. $150 off would make me consider getting it for only GT7 but still would hesitate.
@@KingFloch88I mean I use theatre mode on my psvr2?, you can also change the screen size in the settings. Watching youtube and Netflix feels like you are sitting inside a cinema. Video summed up most of my opinions on the psvr 2 really well. As far as I’m concerned, the psvr 2 is pretty excellent hardware wise, it’s just the software that could use some work, but that’s the easy part. I hope more support comes to this thing bc I love how easy it is to pick up and play. Cant wait to see more content from you! Hope to see some indie games I haven’t seen before get put on my radar.
Mine has been collecting dust for a year now. I didn't dislike it, I just lost interest. The limited library is the reason. No option for porting the previous PSVR games was a big mistake in my opinion. There were are a lot of great titles that new owners will never get to experience.
Same, I would never have wasted my money on it if I knew Sony wasn’t going to support it and all we would get is low quality 3rd party games and horror shooter titles.
I held off on buying it for this reason, I bought a PSVR and it's mostly collected dust, it was fun for a while but was extremely limited. I was hoping to see more support for the VR2 in the time since its release. The fact that I can't watch 3D movies on it as well is total shit.
Solid video, great editing, 10/10 for memes included, and very informative. I've actually not purchased a PS5 because there's just no exclusives I must have, but the PSVR2 is something I've been pretty curious about, and also want to support just to further the funding for VR in general, and show my support.
Having a PS home environment (in which your friends can hop and just hang out and do cool stuff) while having your catalogue of games being added as "doorways" or extra themed parts of the home environment (for example: Legendary tales => have a cave or castle entrance in your home environment) would be neat. But since it would be extremely niche, i'm not hoping for that.
Some things: 1. If you wear glasses, get contacts (if you can tolerate them) or just get some prescription VR lenses (there are many companies these days). 2. You will get marks on your forehead. Wear a bandana. 3. You will get motion sickness. It's normal and expected. Don't overdo it. Take as many breaks as needed. 4. Get a fan blowing towards you and chew some minty gums or better yet, ginger chewing up, but really, any strong flavoured gum will work. 5. Keep hydrated. That's it. You will get better in time. I hope SONY keeps pushing developers to support VR content, but honestly the 120Hz cinema mode is a game changer on its own.
One other thing is be extremely careful with your controllers. If you break one, you’re essentially stuck. Or have to buy an entirely new headset. They don’t sell them. Which is insane.
Love my PSVR2! I would really like to see more ports of the PSVR games along with new first party content. Skyrim, Rush of Blood, Superhot, and Wipeout really need to be upgraded!

@@Alien_isolationist I have a PSVR and I have those games. I don't want to keep two headsets connected to my PS5, and I want to enjoy the better controls and visuals in the old games. With so many standard games being upgraded to take advantage of PS5 hardware, that wasn't an unreasonable expectation for VR games when I bought my PSVR2. I also believe that having those upgraded games available would have helped PSVR2 sales.
I have psvr2 and quest 3 , psvr2 waay better in graphics and haptic for controller, the only thing make me play more in quest 3 , its the sweetspot for psvr2 its little annoying and not clear compared to quest 3 pancake lens
Nice review Frank, I personally have no issue with the design of the controllers and find buttons far easier to locate than with the moves, possibly down to prolonged use of Quest controllers Battery life is a pain, but I’m lucky enough to be in the position where I was able to pick up a second headset. I use the second headset with my racing rig and don’t need the controllers, so they double up as spares for my VR gaming, they definitely need to make them purchasable separately
Glad you’re back frank I hope you see this . If they remaster vr worlds for the psvr2 it will sell headsets when i showed people shark in counter every one wanted one. And that disk alone was the most one every one wanted to try and most bought a vr after that . Reason is the games on there are fun dont take a lot to learn because some dont play games but look bed the experience . @@dukegreer1915 100% agree with you. I feel the initial launch for psvr had more games with a “wow factor” for new players. It felt like a demo, but that was a good thing. The games now are for more experienced players. I have a hard time trying to get my gf to try. She isn’t interested in anything lol. But the old shark one, or Batman would have been perfect for someone who doesn’t play many games.
If you even like cars a little bit, it's worth getting for Gran Turismo. If not, maybe if you see some games you like. I've put a lot of time into Synapse and Synth Riders. Everything else has been underwhelming. I will say I don't care for horror anymore, so I've avoided them. RE7 on PSvr1 was enough for a lifetime. Wait! Oh man! It's you! Welcome back! Been a few years. I thought you went into restaurants full time.
I bought the globular cluster comfort mod for psvr2 and it’s a total game changer. Can’t recommend it enough for anyone who owns the psvr2. Also it helps find the “sweet spot” almost instantly
At the moment it’s not worth buying it at that full prices. You’re only missing out on resident evil village and remake. Wait til the price dropped if you don’t really have the money for it. It’s really disappointing that there’s isn’t really any AAA games latest
The only problem I have with it is the huge lack of content. I thought the lack of content was bad with the quest lineup, but its way worse with PSVR 2
I love my psvr2. I just pick Galaxy Kart game. After playing GT7 and my dude with the steering wheel makes the game much more fun. Galaxy Kart In VR is the closest thing to mario Kart you'll get. I love it very simple game. Psvr2 it's only been a year on top of it they were trying to stock the ps5 at the same time, so alot of setbacks, but the patient is the key. I hope more stuff comes.
Regarding the "well lit" space requirement - You can IR flood lamps (like those the come with the VIVE) and they will illuminate the space for the PSVR2 invisibly.
Glad to see you back frank, had psvr1 from day 1 allways watch your videos. Now have psvr2 from day one ,loving it .I put a head band on and it makes it a lot better, as the silicone makes my head red and sweaty, give it a try Frank, all the best hope you keep making the videos 😊
The graphics on PSVR2 are unmatched as of yet, but the Quest 3 is the better pick for the vast majority of users. I prefer the controllers, the content, and no cables. There is no doubt in my mind that Meta is going to win the war. The quest is selling an order of magnitude faster, and that will inevitably lead to much more content landing on the Meta Store.
I cant speak to the future but I’ve had this thing since launch and have played it multiple times a week ever since, oftentimes daily. If I didn’t workout and have a job I’d play even more. I have many games I really want that I haven’t bought yet and a small backlog of ones I’m yet to complete. I’ve also never found myself unable to play from the controllers dying or discomfort in the headset personally and I haven’t had too many issues tracking my surroundings but Im in a small well lit space when I play and my session generally aren’t super long but I’ve played for 2-3 hours several times. So, while theres much room for improvement and plenty valid complaints I overwhelmingly praise this device and definitely consider it my favorite tech purchase of all time. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone with a ps5, especially if you like horror. Resident evil 4 and village are the best vr gaming experiences you can have imo. Lastly this headset is light years ahead of psvr 1 in every way and its hard to believe I dealt with all that things hardships after having this for awhile.
@@integratypeAUT it’s frustrating because it uses light tracking but for what it is it works really well. You could have a lot of fun with the library fs. My favorite games were la noir, blood and truth, psvr worlds, arkham vr, creed, fnaf help wanted, beat saber, the titanic game and I didn’t play alot of them but it had borderlands 2, skyrim, doom and minecraft on there as well.
We love the Psvr2. Very fun and convenient to plug n play. However, the headsets are very fragile. If the headset get's the lightest scratch or a drop of sweat in the wrong spot, it stops working. Our first psvr2 worked for 1 whole day, then stopped turning on. So we returned it and got a new one. The second worked for about a week, then got the "gray screen of death" and the "blinking red light of doom. That one, We sent into sony. Still waiting for repair/replacement. To be clear I love this system after just 1 hour I was hooked. But had I'd known how sketchy and defective the headsets were I might've saved my money and bought a quest 3 instead
Think you were just incredibly unlucky. I got it on launchday and it survived me sweating like a pig numerous times. I smack myself in the head(set) occationally too when things get intense and it's still working like a charm up until this day
@shapeshifter-theamorphousg3264 I hope your right. Just received another one from Sony, and so far so good. I played Les Mills, Beat Saber and Pistolwhip for 3 hours straight, til my controller batteries died. Hopefully, we broke the curse. In our defense, we got both our previous headsets from target. Not sure that matters but maybe it was a bad batch smh. Tonight I'll play RE4 VR
Buy an infrared spot light to play in the dark. Point the light down on top of you. My gripe with it is that it causes my face to sweat, especially when playing active sports games but also when playing any games.
I replaced the back headband with one off Amazon that's more supportive. Put a little memory foam in the front cushion, then wear a spandex type balaclava on my head. (Sort of like a doorag). It's been way more comfortable since then.
I find mine very comfortable! Charging is an issue....at least they charge very fast. 15 minutes will get them to 50%...1 hour to full. (first part is always faster) We just need more games...
Fnaf help wanted, sns1, creed, moss, hotel rnr, transformers, no mans sky, beat saber and a handful of others. Unfortunately most of them are paid upgrades for like $10 or so. Imo the headset and upgrades are well worth it though. The immersion, quality and convenience of this headset has you wondering how you ever even enjoyed psvr 1.
Nice video Franky. One thing: I can't play VR with Glasses. Even without the risk of scratching, it's SO annoying. Prescriptions lenses are the NUMBER 1 MUST HAVE for glasses wearers.
Yeah, I scratched my psvr1 with my glasses, they said they fixed this issue with PSVR2, my dumb ass took their word for it... Scratched the headset lenses and my glasses day 1. Sent it in for repairs and have had nothing but problems. You gotta send EVERYTHING back in to them, 3 weeks later you get back a refreshed unit. Both controllers had EXTREME stick drift and the headset constantly disconnects. Sent that back, got back 1 controller with stick drift, nothing like uncontrollably spinning in VR lemme tell ya... Sent that back (again, headset and everything) got back a headset where the cable has clearly been spun over and over again, all wadded up in sections inside of the sheath, and . Again.. one controller with stick drift. But this time it's not extreme, buuuuut despite it claiming to be fully charged, pause the game 20 min later and see it on 1 bar and the other controller still has 3, 20 min later. It's dead. I give up.

Best VR hardware that exists! I own Quest 3, Reverb G2 and Valve Index. PSVR2 blows them away! Sony we need more content! I know its only been out for 10 months but years 2-3-4 better be amazing with the hardware you developed! There is no doubt that Quest has more games but that is because they have Sidequest and App Lab which allows more developers to get their games out there. I choose quality over Quantity every time but I still love my Quest 2.
I just wonder where do we go from this, the end game would be like in the james cameron movie avatar that we will link into different body that would be the Next Big Thing for gaming
One thing i really really hate about the PSVR2 is the lenses scratch super easily if you wear glasses. I bought a glasses spacer now but whats done is done. I did not have this issue ever with the PSVR1 or any other VR headset.
Random tips for new users! Got a dock for Christmas, best thing ever. Drop them in in between sessions and put PS5 in rest mode. Rarely I play long enough to empty them in one go, I take little breaks every hour or so and even then I quickly drop 'em in the dock. I also use a barstool for almost every game and I place it in the exact same position, ALWAYS. This way the set will easily recognize the area and the barstool is perfect for being able to sit on your lazy ass while still have freedom to grab weapons from your holsters for example and flap your disgusting arms around. My place isn't that well lit but I never have any issues with the tracking, maybe the consistency of the setup has something to do with that? Also I sit with my back to the ps5 so the cable goes over my shoulder and is never in the way.
Lucky me as I could play hrs without any discomfort. Plus, I must use 1.25 reading glasses on pc and No reading glasses for me under vr2. Clean amazing OLED
Nah, it's still a little too rough for that much praise i think, but i agree that it's super fun! It'll only get more polished in the future so i might get back to that, but for now i prefer Alvo and Breachers. Just being honest.
Problem is, very few people are buying this thing. As amazing as it is, devs aren’t putting money into making games to sell to a minority group. If only people would try GT7 or Resident Evil, they’ll never go back to flat gaming. It’s ruined me for life for monitor based gaming. There’s just no immersion for me in flat games now. Mine unfortunately has just been gathering dust since there haven’t been any games aside from RE4 in the last 6 months I found worthy of buying. It needs a really good flight sim. VR is tailor made for simming and yet we have only one driving sim and no good flight sims. One is a cartoony looking kids game and the other isn’t even worth mentioning. Also I think an Uncharted port would be absolutely stunning. It would be like Horizon on steroids. And Horizon was breathtaking.
Completely agree. Sony isn’t supporting developers to update their existing games so all we’re getting is cartoonish crap and horror shooter games. We need real games like Cyberpunk, Red Dead, The Witcher, God of Way, Uncharted, etc.
Maybe all of that is in the works. Time will tell. Maybe once the market gets bigger and people experience these great games, they'll see the possibilities and start creating good games. I sure hope so. Because I really can't even stand playing games on my TV anymore. @@ProfoundProductions
To me the eye tracking and foveated rendering are the standout features. Being able to get the graphics level by just fully rendering what we are looking at, means the PSVR2 has the potential to give us much higher frame rates than a powerful PC with VR. Generally I would say your review covered everything and despite being simple to use, it is not as pick up and play as the Quest 3.
The bummer is, those awesome features that make this stand out, the foveated rendering, trigger resistant feedback, is up to the devs to implement. I feel almost any psvr2 game is not worth purchasing until like... A year later, if that, cause there are so many updates that are needed. Unless it's a Sony game, I'm just left crossing my fingers. Sucks. I was very disheartened when I played the same games on the quest 3 and found they had more options and were clearly updated more recently. Made me give up on the headset all together, I do need to go back in for resident evil though. Sure wish they would port re7, but, seeing as this does not seem to be a system that is making them much money if any... :( I don't see that ever happening. Especially these days. Looking bleak imo :(
These reviews need to mention the huge chance of getting controllers that don’t work unless you do different tricks depending on if the right controller isn’t working, left controller, need to bow air in the trigger etc. Sony needs to fix this
I had the original PSVR and then pre ordered the PSVR2 and received it on launch day. To me, it is truly amazing and has some great games, BUT with that said there are a lot of PSVR 1 games that I wish would come over to the new platform, as I own a ton of PSVR 1 games and have no PSVR 1 anymore so it sucks. Also, The Sony First Party PSVR 1 games are not even being ported over which is a HUGE let down. (Blood and Truth, Astro Bot, Etc) I am truly concerned about the lack of first party games nor word that Sony has any in the works.
I’m not a tech nerd so this question might sound stupid but please feel free to answer. But why can’t they make vr games look more realistic like other console games?
Simply because vr requires a lot more processing power than a normal game. So, on hardware like PS5, developers have to make some compromises with graphical fidelity to make the game run smoothly.
I can't decide if I should buy a ps5 with vr, or buy a new PC strong enough for vr. I'd prefer the ps5 since I already have a steam deck to play PC games, but I'm assuming there will be more vr games on PC than ps
I will never support anything linked to zuckerberg so that alone stops me getting the quest . The tech the vr2 has will always be better than the quest and pcvr and with the globular cluster and beanie hat the headset is comfortable . Lack of support from developers and not selling the controllers separately are the only issues .
I really want one but I know I wouldn't play it all the time. Maybe more so than the PSVR 1 because it's only one cord and I don't need a camera, so it's more portable. Maybe I can sell my psvr 1 to save some money on the 2
Decent video. I’m loving my PSVR2. Haven’t had any issues at all. Easy to use and fun. I’m confused by your button name complaint. What else would you name them, and wouldn’t that just confuse PlayStation players? And how would new names help?

Great review! PSVR2 kicks ass, and we are all spoiled. I feel like every time I put on the headset tho that I have to recalibrate eye tracking to have the absolute most perfect image possible at all times. Is there any truth to this or am I just criminally insane?

Solid video, great editing, 10/10 for memes included, and very informative. I've actually not purchased a PS5 because there's just no exclusives I must have, but the PSVR2 is something I've been pretty curious about, and also want to support just to further the funding for VR in general, and show my support.
Meh
hope it is because I just bought it in the mail now
Having a PS home environment (in which your friends can hop and just hang out and do cool stuff) while having your catalogue of games being added as "doorways" or extra themed parts of the home environment (for example: Legendary tales => have a cave or castle entrance in your home environment) would be neat. But since it would be extremely niche, i'm not hoping for that.
Oculus basically had that on Rift, it was amazing, so it could always happen, feels like more of a when than an if to me!
Some things:
Skyrim, Rush of Blood, Superhot, and Wipeout really need to be upgraded!
they have no games!!! its sad they lauch a product with o support...
You need to lower expectations. If you want that library, buy PSVR & hook it to your PS5. PSVR 2 is for new games not old games.
@@MaryG-x9wSony literally dropped 7 Exclusives in 2023, with 2 of them being some of the most realistic experience out called Resident Evil. Sony has 3 more Exclusives coming, which makes 10, far more then any other headset. Yet Valve is praised for a 4 year old Half Life game & that it. Sony will alsonannoujce more 2nd Party exclusives later on so it'll be more then 10 next year. It's literally year 2....
@@williamskogen9895 then don't enjoy the better library. As a VR enthusiast I prefer both hooked up simultaneously
I have psvr2 and quest 3 , psvr2 waay better in graphics and haptic for controller, the only thing make me play more in quest 3 , its the sweetspot for psvr2 its little annoying and not clear compared to quest 3 pancake lens
the Frank show song would be an instant hit for a short 😉😉
I wish I could get it as a ring tone since it's my last name 😂
Hi Frank, put on
a Beanie while wearing the PSVR2 headset
..snug fit🧐🤗😎👍
That's how I do it
Great review screw the haters, PSVR2 slaps.
Nice review Frank, I personally have no issue with the design of the controllers and find buttons far easier to locate than with the moves, possibly down to prolonged use of Quest controllers
Battery life is a pain, but I’m lucky enough to be in the position where I was able to pick up a second headset.
I really think having it again would help for all beginners to want it can u imagine what those games will look like especially shark incounter please if u see this find the developers every one would pay to upgrade that game or buy it .
So true thats what I did ,the shark 🦈 demo was fantastic, I must have done that demo hundreds of times never got board with it 😊
I agree. That was my go to VR demo for friends, lol. I also used Batman. That was pretty good in VR as well.
@@dalebrown4724 yes it sold me all the games on there were fun easy for anyone to play and that never played I was so amazed every one wanted to try that like you said over and over lol
@@Z28Gaming mine too my X hated games but she saw that and loved it it was always a highlight for people it sold headsets most people only wanted horizon world to show friends and family. I hope someone see this I really thought no it will sell the headset most games now complicated for new users but that vr world will draw them in especially with the technology we got now that would look incredible i still wish it worked for my psvr2 I keep waiting on it to show people my other games to hard or they get motion sickness so I show beat saber puzzle places or Tetris
Yeah the Globular mod is a gamechanger for me, it's a really nice headset to wear for extended periods of time now
At the moment it’s not worth buying it at that full prices.
Lolz, I’ve been told, I completely forgot about that when writing this, something about them weird me out 🤣
You said everything I been thinking since I bought it. I appreciate what you do dude ❤.
Welcome back Frank!!! Solid review... Nice to see you playing catch up. Lol.
Glad to see you back frank, had psvr1 from day 1 allways watch your videos. Now have psvr2 from day one ,loving it .I put a head band on and it makes it a lot better, as the silicone makes my head red and sweaty, give it a try Frank, all the best hope you keep making the videos 😊
can you watch videos or movies on it or just games?
I was thinking about PSVR1 because I have a jailbroken PS4Pro and could just pirate its game library - but I dont know much about the headset anymore
A big missed opportunity is not porting big titles from PSVR1 over. Skyrim, Wipeout, would be great editions.
Got mine since launch whit no issues at all, play every day.hope for u its bad luck and not lies and hate .
@@blackseed68 Have fun! I hope you'll be freed of the curse from now on!
Thank you Frankie. 5 minutes for a review is prefect. Cheers and welcome back buddy! #frankiepin1080p
(first part is always faster)
We just need more games...
So I found one used (looks pristine and hardly used) local for $350. I think I might bite the bullet as I’d use it mainly for GT7 racing
You’re gonna love it even if it’s just for GT7, and I’m sure you’ll find some other gems you really dig!
I have missed this happy intro for so long now. I know it's not your ideal means of income. But glad I can see ya again.
shit you mightve sold me on one.Just wondering do you know if any psvr1 games are compatable on 2? i got like 100+
Fnaf help wanted, sns1, creed, moss, hotel rnr, transformers, no mans sky, beat saber and a handful of others.
Unfortunately most of them are paid upgrades for like $10 or so.
Imo the headset and upgrades are well worth it though. The immersion, quality and convenience of this headset has you wondering how you ever even enjoyed psvr 1.
Nice video Franky. One thing:
I can't play VR with Glasses.
It's dead.
I give up.
@@Subfightrbloody hell. Bro, you’re actually cursed. Sorry to hear that man.

I had Ulcerative Colitis, this was supposed to improve my life, now I'm disabled and it's ruined me 👍 lost everything. All my friends, everything.
i’d highly recommend buying some prescription lenses that you can put over the lenses inside, if you scratch the lenape it’s game over, if you can afford a psvr2 you can afford some lenses 💯💪

The big schnoz comes with the accent 😂 it's the complete package 😅 nice review. I'm glad to see you back
i think they should consider to make a revision with either a better headstrap (like the globular cluster) or change the fresnel to pancakes lense. Sweetspot trouble is simply a too annoying barrier for many newcomers.
I just got mines love it so far love how it feels in my head and I got long locs and glasses and it good on my face
Best VR hardware that exists!
I own Quest 3, Reverb G2 and Valve Index.
PSVR2 blows them away!
Sony we need more content! I know its only been out for 10 months but years 2-3-4 better be amazing with the hardware you developed!
Honestly $1k is worth just Gran Turismo 7 with a sim racing setup though :)
But still make me happy!
idk about you @@I_Vented but im trying to play games on my headset not watch movies😂
@@I_Vented PSVR2 looks so much better than Quest 3 stand alone though.

Gran Turismo 7 VR is the most budgeted VR game to exist and no racer on PCVR can come close and may never.
PCVR is dead anyways. I cant find one game worth buying in the last year.
PSVR2 had more new AAA releases than PCVR.
@@I_Vented I have both headsets but spend 90% of my time in PSVR2. It just works and looks better. I get way less motion sickness and hardware quality is the best I have seen in a VR headset and I own Quest 2/3, HP Reverb G2 and Valve Index as well.
PSVR2 only been out for 10 months. Years 2-4 are when the best games drop.
Having said that I know Netflix works and so does UA-cam in cinematic mode only right now. That might of changed and it supports 360 content now. I am never in those apps though.
If you want for gaming get PSVR2 easily. Honestly I would pay $1K just for Gran Turismo VR itself but I have a sim chair setup.
If you want for UA-cam Netflix mainly get Quest 3 I guess.
@@I_Vented PSVR2 cannot run PC. Which is a positive in my book. You can turn off cross-play and not play with PC hackers and the games are so much better optimized and look better than the PCVR versions.
Pavlov feels like a different game on PSVR2. I couldnt play it because it was so janky on PCVR.
Contractors and Ghosts Of Tabor coming soon.
Brechers is my most played game now on PSVR2.
Buy the Bobo AP2 headphones and the Global Cluster head strap mod to make it even better.
PSVR2 is the best VR hardware out...
Whaited so long for it and now I prefer the quest3 after only some months 😢
The lenses are so 2015 tho. Can’t believe they screwed that up
Random tips for new users!
Fantastic review. Love it!
Are you the one I saw in a video using rechargeable batteries in the controllers.
Lucky me as I could play hrs without any discomfort. Plus, I must use 1.25 reading glasses on pc and No reading glasses for me under vr2. Clean amazing OLED
Everyone should buy d day enhanced on psvr2 easily the best multiplayer shooter on psvr2
Nah, it's still a little too rough for that much praise i think, but i agree that it's super fun! It'll only get more polished in the future so i might get back to that, but for now i prefer Alvo and Breachers. Just being honest.
I’m not complaining it does it job but more detailed immersed games is needed.
Another great vid, I think you should switch up the background track though, that little flute tune is hilariously distracting.
As expected, Sony immediately abandon the vr device post launch.
Looking bleak imo :(
@@Subfightr Agreed, great features but they do need to be used and implemented properly.
Had a PSVR 1 but still have not pulled the trigger on the new headset.
They did with Gran Turismo 7 but that’s about it.
Simply because vr requires a lot more processing power than a normal game. So, on hardware like PS5, developers have to make some compromises with graphical fidelity to make the game run smoothly.
@@IshaanTiwari-pz1wq That’s what Foveated Rendering is for.
It amazing but not shocking how many people are willing to support one of the most unethical companies on earth.
I really want one but I know I wouldn't play it all the time. Maybe more so than the PSVR 1 because it's only one cord and I don't need a camera, so it's more portable. Maybe I can sell my psvr 1 to save some money on the 2
I wish they made it backward compatible
You have Adam Sessler’s cadence when speaking and reviewing games.
Decent video. I’m loving my PSVR2. Haven’t had any issues at all. Easy to use and fun.
I’m confused by your button name complaint. What else would you name them, and wouldn’t that just confuse PlayStation players? And how would new names help?
My problem is it being connected to the PS5 what if you accidentally yank your whole PS5 on the ground
I did this the other day, broke the headset wire, luckily didn’t break PS5, it’s absolutely a thing

I have a ps5 and the graphics for the psvr2 look amazing and I really want to try it out, but at the same time I don’t know if I should just play it safe and get a meta quest 3. What should I do?
Depends what you play, want single player experiences, Psvr2. Play with friends on the previous gen and with more online multiplayer, the quest 3
Are the goofy old lenses noticeable
Yes, it is!!!
Frank, we any of us ever get any kind of great racer other than a Driveclub of old days or a Gran Turismo trial exp. Other than Quest kiddie mario kart/twisted metal lights?
I just want something that took itself seriously like the damn MechBall?whatever it was that Guerilla made as a true mech sport game on psvr. It wasnt racing, but it took itself serious as a true future sport. And I got so good at that damn game once... +sighs+
Great job Frank
It's worth it just for no mans sky. Simply amazing.
I always forget about that game, because it still blows me away how well the support VR and the level of depth that it offers, you are 100% correct. If that is YOUR game, it's a no-brainer.

Great review! PSVR2 kicks ass, and we are all spoiled. I feel like every time I put on the headset tho that I have to recalibrate eye tracking to have the absolute most perfect image possible at all times. Is there any truth to this or am I just criminally insane?
I always recalibrate every time I put the PSVR2 on, it always seems like the lenses move.
@@tgk3624 It might also be trickier because I wear black framed emo glasses as well lol
I'm glad I'm not the only one tho lol. Not sure how much is obsession and how much it actually does change anything at all recalibrating every time lol. No big deal I guess. Super quick to do anyways.

I feel like Sony could fix all the issues by simply just announcing astrobot 2 😅
Iv been into VR since 2016 and this is the worst bullshit headset iv ever had...Thank god for PCVR...Tracking issues in a well lit room, Yet i can use my Quest 3 in a low lit room with no issues... And Sony dont give a shit on this Gen....Frank You know this!

Hmm I don’t have that issue at all.
I heard rec room isn't getting a port because Sony won't pay them for one and I guess Apple is going to pay them for a port
Trying to regurgutate the lie that PSVR 1 has multiple cords is tiring. Its 1 cord to the box that you tuck behind the tv. Ill even say its better then VR 2 cord because you cant mess up your USB C port. Ooh
