Very cool to see Buckhorn Draw through your eyes. We've often said that despite the draw of the "Mighty Five" our favorite parts of Utah are outside of the National Parks away from the crowds, as you've apparently discovered yourselves. Hint: those MK Tunnels may be gated, but those gates aren't terribly secure. 😁 The San Rafael Swell, a.k.a. "The Swell" is a massive area, a geological uplift. The eastern end is known as the San Rafael Reef, a massive anticline so named by early pioneers due to its difficulty to negotiate with their wagon trains. Definitely put Goblin Valley and Little Wild Horse Canyon in the southern Swell on your list for when you return, and boondock at the foot of Wild Horse Mesa. There are some excellent boondocking opportunities in the central Swell just off I-70, too. We're looking forward to seeing your take on Lemoille Canyon, as that's been on our list for a while now.
Thanks! Buckhorn Draw was incredible. It's funny because with a name like that we were really unprepared for how grand the whole area was. Years and years ago on our first visit to Utah, the "Mighty Five" were really all we saw. Since our trip into Utah last year was mostly to escape the wildfire smoke, we quickly found ourselves wishing we had more time there. We will be back! Do you have any favorite full hook-up sites for resupplying between boondocking adventures? Goblin Valley is definitely on the list. We'll have to check out Little Wild Horse Canyon too! We appreciate the info! Our Lemoille Canyon video is up if you're interested: ua-cam.com/video/ecDGn_5Q05c/v-deo.html We'd highly recommend Thomas Canyon Campground there. We didn't stay there due to the lack of internet coverage, but if that's not a deal breaker the views from there are fantastic.
@@NeverStopAdventuring alas, we do need cell data to be able to work from the RV; that's been what's largely kept us from crossing northern Nevada to date. Come on Starlink! 😆 We'll be sure to check out your Lamoille Canyon vid. To be honest, because Utah has been a largely weekend destination for us up until now, we haven't paid much attention to full-hookup sites within our home state. We usually would either fill the rig before leaving home, or stop to do so nearer to our destination. If you're not yet familiar with it, Sanidumps.com is an exceptional resource for doing the latter.
We stayed at the east campground on South Fork Reservoir and had great cell service there! It was a 45min drive from there to the end of the Lamoille Canyon scenic drive. They even have a couple of full hook-up sites if you can snag them. Ours was electric only and the campground is very nice. We've heard of Sanidumps but haven't really used it. Campendium lists dump stations too, but now that we're boondocking more we'll check it out!
@@NeverStopAdventuring we use Campendium extensively -- we've even produced a video for them -- but Sanidumps' database is far more extensive and complete. That's terrific beta on the cell signal at South Fork, thank you. Can you share which network you were on?
I love this video! I have never thought about going to Utah but man, those views and pictographs are making me want to drive out there and check it out!!

@@GrandAdventure nice! We were using both T-Mobile and AT&T and had great service with both.
I think this is your best video yet visually. Great landscape shots!
Thanks! Truthfully, it was kinda hard not to get good shots out there! We really appreciate the feedback.
Great narrative and the edits are beautiful. Well done I enjoyed the video.
Thanks! The follow-on video to this comes out tomorrow!
