I’m so glad I rediscovered you with this video! I used to watch you religiously, but you stopped showing up on my suggested videos 😕. Now it’s time to backtrack and binge! I’m so glad you’re still making content!
Welcome back!! I slowed down in posting due to my wedding so that could be part of the reason UA-cam stopped suggesting me! I’m back to posting at least twice a month! Thanks so much for watching!
Suggestion...Avocado pot...get a cylinder vase to set the entire pot down into..like as a self water pot...kinda looks like that's what it's meant for to me
You have some beautiful plants. Thank you for showing them in this tour. Just curious, how are you planning on moving them all the way from Iowa to Texas?
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you found my channel. I have been prepping a lot to move since I filmed this video and I gave away 75+ plants to my friends and family! The rest are coming to Texas with me
Yes, the hoya loves outside under the porch or patio and grows crazy fast. I have a goldfish plant in door and barely blooms, I will put it outside. Thanks for the advice.
I just found out that bear paw cacti smell like honey and I went to a garden center and they had them and omg they do! They smell like ever-so-slightly sweet lol
I usually only have to chop and prop about once a year! I put the top cutting (the one in the dining room) in a pot that is really long where it has a couple of feet to grow. I have a mid cut (the big one in my sunroom) that I have growing in a circle around the outside of the pot and so far I’ve never had to chop and prop that one since the pot is pretty big and there is a lot of room for it to grow around the outside!
@@SloansCommonGround I was still working my way through your video and I thought the first gloriosum in your sunroom was a top cutting because of how big it was! I am caught up now and I see what you mean by the top cutting having several feet to grow. I will start with getting a longer planter!
I love all your plants ,if I have to move i have a 2 trucks for my plants and one for my stuff.Hope you can take all your plants
I put some moss around my anthurium while I watched this tour! Thanks for the tip! I love how you have your plants styled :)

Wow beautiful
Use the beautiful terracotta pot as a cover pot and put the avacado plant in a plastic pot and set it inside the terracotta pot. 💚 Beautiful plants 🪴
Beautiful
1:18:26- if a Hoya is about to bloom and you move it at all, the blooms will fall off ☹️
Oh no!!! I had no idea :( lesson learned
Yay! I’m so excited! Thank you. ❤
I would love to see your mom’s plant collection one day. 😊
Thanks for watching!! I love filming plant tours so I’m so glad you enjoy them!

Don't throw away the compacta! Give it to me!! I'm in Des Moines!
It actually completely croaked on me shortly after filming this 😅 so I didn’t even have the opportunity to give it away!

I wish I would have found you sooner. Fellow Iowan Plant lover here. Your plants are beautiful. Are you selling any when you move?

When you get to Texas you can put the goldfish plant and Hoya Publicalyx outside for about 8 months of the year and they will explode.
That’s such a great idea! Maybe that will be what gets my goldfish plant to finally bloom 🤞

That one shown on the screen isn't a pastazanum it's a plowmanii but it's a lovely example of one!
I think you are totally right!! Thank you for pointing that out! I recently potted it up and it’s looking so pretty - really excited to see it grow!
The Subhastatum definitely loses the red backs as it matures! I’m sure that is what you have.
Love the terracotta planter your avocado tree is in. Where did you get it from?
My grandma gave it to me! I wish I knew where it was from because I would absolutely buy more
Those are really healthy plants! soil mix /media eveal?
I just found out that bear paw cacti smell like honey and I went to a garden center and they had them and omg they do! They smell like ever-so-slightly sweet lol

NIce video content
Thank you!
I am raising a gloriosum and it's constantly running out of room, are you chopping and moving it to new pots every few months?
