Thank you so much for your kind words! 🥰 Adjusting a pattern for an adult-size cardigan involves a few steps: Measurements: Take measurements of the person who will be wearing the cardigan, including chest circumference, arm length, and desired length of the cardigan. Gauge: Crochet a gauge swatch using your chosen yarn and hook size to determine how many stitches and rows you have per inch. This will help you calculate how many stitches and rows you'll need for the adult-size cardigan. Pattern Adjustments: Once you have your measurements and gauge, you'll need to adjust the pattern accordingly. This may involve increasing the number of stitches and rows in each section (back, fronts, sleeves) to accommodate the larger size. You may also need to adjust shaping, such as armhole depth and neckline shaping. Try as You Go: As you work on the cardigan, periodically try it on or use a dress form to ensure it's fitting as desired. You can make adjustments as needed along the way. Finishing: Once you've completed the cardigan, block it to shape and size if necessary, and add any desired finishing touches like buttons or edging. Remember, adjusting patterns for size can be a bit of trial and error, so don't be afraid to experiment and make adjustments as needed. If you need further assistance or have specific questions as you work on your cardigan, feel free to reach out!
I'm glad to hear that you find the cardigan beautiful and that you're excited to give it a try! 🥰 If you're looking to adjust the pattern for an adult size, you'll need to make a few modifications, but I am sure it can be done. Best of luck with your project😊
You are very welcome🥰 the yarn that I am using for this pattern is 50 gram /175 meter. So your cardigan will probably turn out somewhat bigger than the original pattern. Best of luck with your project😊
It depends on the yarn you are using. This cardigan made in the original yarn will only fit a small baby 0-3 months. But I have the pattern in multible sizes on my website www.adorecrea.com Good luck with your project😊❤
Could I also make a slip stich to connect each row in the sleeves so I don't have to sew them together at the end ? Or is there an advantage to sewing it together ?
Yes absolutely. Yo will just have to turn the work for each round to make the stitch look the same as the rest of the work. best of luck with your project🥰

Using milk cotton yarn for this cardigan can be a great choice! It sounds frustrating, but don’t worry-it’s a common issue! Extra stitches can happen if you accidentally add an extra stitch at the beginning or end of the row.
