I really enjoyed making this, your instructions are very clear. I have been crocheting for many years but only granny square blankets. My inspiration has been my granddaughter due to be born next month. I wish I could attach a photo, I’m quite proud of myself 😊.
I had to write to say God bless you for the outstanding video tutorials you produce! I have watched a lot of tutorials to make items, but yours are the best ones by 100%. They are totally fail-proof resulting in a perfectly finished project no matter the item. I am making the baby sweater now and will also make the booties worry-free because I know they will turn out perfect. You have an extraordinary ability/skill to teach/demonstrate and I feel so blessed to have discovered your channel. I am 70+ and only dabbled in crocheting in my youth, but now want to become an experienced seasoned crocheter and your tutorials will help me achieve that. I cannot thank you enough for creating such a marvelous channel to help others achieve their crocheting goals!❤
Awe thank you so much for taking the time to leave me your lovely feedback - it's very much appreciated! 🥰 I'm so pleased that you like my designs and you're enjoying crocheting along with me! Wishing you an enjoyable weekend crocheting up the baby sweater and other matching items 💝
I’ve watched a lot of videos but yours is by far the best. I love how close up you have the camera. It’s amazingly clear and your commentary is so clear. I’m going to look for more of your videos xx
I have to agree. One of the vary best videos to fallow that I’ve ever watched. It’s so easy to fallow along and see exactly what stitches she’s crocheting into. The close up and how well it’s explained step by step helps so much!!!
I finished the baby booties and now I'm on to the cardigan sweater thank you so much for being so helpful with your step-by-step tutorials. I thank you and my mental health thanks you.

I have to say, for all the BEGINNERS out there, this is a very very good video, amazing explanation step by step. My first crochet and it turned out amazing Thank you Amanda!
My grandma taught me one basic stitch when I was a kid, so I could make a scarf, since then (15 years) I havent crocheted anything 🥴 So yeah I'd say I'm a beginner, and this was my FIRST thing I ever did I don't have that much free time during the day so it took me 4 days, but if you can have two free days for yourself I'm pretty sure that's enough, maybe even one whole day if you're up for it 😁
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback Rafaela 💝 Congratulations on your first project, I will keep working on new tutorials. I wish you a wonderful week and take care 😘
I finished this cardigan a few days ago, i keep looking at it because it is so pretty and the first cardigan project that didn't look worn and old from the stress of me creating it lol. Once i got into the rhythm of it, it was a breeze. i also made it in white and i honestly wish i had someone to gift it to, i might give to charity
I absolutely love your easy-to-follow videos. Thank you so much. I’m on my 2nd baby cardigan (pink this time) for a dear friend and am grateful for the time you took to help me make such a sweet cardi!
I have now made a couple of versions of this as part of my 'learning to crochet' process. It was very easy to follow and the woman I gifted the items too has been very impressed. Thank you!
I’m making my second one as I was so pleased with the first. I’ve only made blankets before. I’m so chuffed to have made this for my new Grandchild. Thankyou so much. I hope you make many more tutorials ☺️
I'm so thankful you have divided the video in chapters! I'm working from the pattern on your blog and just needed help with the special cluster stitch. It's great to be able to come here and find the help I needed. Your patterns are so cute, and your videos are great. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
I have just finished crocheting this cardigan and it’s a beautiful pattern. Just started crocheting in October this year. This is my second cardigan and I love how straight forward your instructions are. Thank you very much - now off to look for something else to make xx

So so easy and the product was gorgeous!! Wish I could upload a photo - long time crocheter (predominantly hats) but first time making baby clothes and so pleased with how it turned out!!
Thank you so much for such an easy to follow video.. completed my first baby cardigan, its a bit larger than expected although i used the correct hook size and wool! love it anyway and baby will grow into it x
I can't tell you how much I appreciate your video tutorials and written patterns, Amanda! We have a VERY large family (14 children) and lots and lots and lots of grandbabies. ;-) I just completed your Mary Jane booties tutorial and now I'm on to this cardigan for a grand daughter who is due in December. We have 21 grandchildren so far and we just found out that we have another grandbaby due in May, so I'll be very busy on your channel, lol. Your accent sounds Scottish (I used to live in Scotland when I was stationed there in the 1980's). I lived on Dunnet Head and my little cottage was the furthest northern dwelling (save for the lighthouse and the Orkney's). I really miss it there!!!
Hi Katherine, I'm just seeing your comment now! Wow, yes that is a big family that you have! How wonderful 💝 I'm so pleased to hear that you're enjoying my tutorials. I'm just finishing up some new videos that will be published in the new year, so stay tuned! Hopefully you get a chance to visit Scotland in the near future (I am indeed Scottish ☺️). Merry Christmas to you and your family, and happy crocheting! 🎄❤️
@@MaisieandRuth Merry Christmas, dear lady. I made the cardigan and one of your sweet little bonnets. It's such an adorable ensemble. ♥️ I look forward to future tutorials! Much love from Alabama!
I made this cardigan, one of your dresses and the baby Mary Jane style shoes. I did post them on Facebook today but I did list your channel as the credit for these patterns. I love your patterns and how pleasant you are in your teaching.
My first time crocheting a baby cardigan and I loved doing it so I'm on my second one in pink. The video was so easy to follow and you give good information on stitches. I'm looking at doing some trousers if you have a video I could follow. Thanks dawn.
Absolutely love your tutorials! So easy to follow and great pace! Thanks to your tutorials, I have completed my first ever baby cardi, hat and bootees 🙌
Your tutorials are so helpful. Thank you for the close-ups, going slowly, and explainin explicitly where the hook should be inserted. It would be helpful for beginners and almost-beginners if you would show how you make the last stitch in each row. (EDIT: I see in later rows you do show that; thanks!) I'm not really a beginner but if I have trouble with a pattern, it's usually at the end and beginning of rows or rounds. That said, you are so much easier to follow than many on YT. You have a gift for teaching crochet. I plan to make the matching booties and hat, and on those you show how to end the rounds as well as how to begin the next one. I know these are simple rows, but... LOL God bless!
I love your Tutorial I’m a beginner and attempting to do the cardigan, you explain well which I’m easily grasping compared to others I’ve tried. Here goes hoping it turns out as good as yours!
YES!! So glad I found this and the matching hat and booties!! I'm so excited to get started making these for a friend's grandbaby!! Well Done. These are exactly what I was looking for.
Just finished this one and it turned out so nice! I used a yarn with color gradient, so it starts out lavenderish white on the neck and goes down to deep purple at the bottom. Thanks so much for the Tutorial, you're by far the best crocheting channel out there!
I have watched some many tutorials but yours are by far the best I've watched. I am a beginner and your that videos are very easy to follow. Please can you do more ages. I am looking for a very easy age 3/4 year girl cardigan. Thank you for doing these videos.
Thank you so much, Teresa! I'm really pleased to know that you're finding my tutorials helpful 🥰 I'll certainly keep your suggestion in mind. Have a lovely weekend! 💝
Thank you!!!! Your instructions were perfect. I needed to see exactly which stitch to work into and you showed it up close with an explanation too. And it wasn't rushed. To top it off, your voice is very calming. I am looking forward to doing your other projects. Thank you again!!!
Thank you SO much for your detailed instructions! This is the first sweater that I crocheted and am able to follower your instructions, very appreciated!
Great tutorial but check the slant on the left side yoke at 34:28 It looks odd. I think it's because the increase was only made on even rows with the last stitch of those rows having the 2 DC at the end
Hello. I wanted to thank you for sharing your experiences and talents so that we can use them. Thank you for the fact that I learned many things from you and I love you very much🤍🫧
You are the best I have found on UA-cam I have started my first cardigan thanks again for step by step I will look out for you for more your work well done
Thank you very much for helping us to make these beautiful baby clothes. I am so exchited! I started making the jacket. You make me feel calm. God bless you. I am anxious to finish this and proceed with the hat.
You're very welcome, Aphrodite! 😘 I'm so pleased that you're enjoying this tutorial... best of luck with the hat also! Wishing you a lovely, relaxing weekend 💝
This is such a wonderful pattern to crochet and your instructions are clear and well paced. I just finished making one for my new grand boy due in July. I added a bit of striping on the sleeves and skirt as well as little hearts across the front. I’m so pleased. I wish I could post a picture!
Simply elegant little cardigan for a special little girl 👧. Thank you so very much for this clear, crisp and clever little darling project. Keep ‘em coming please!!
I made your lovely baby blanket from this set with Lion 24/7 cotton (technically worsted but on the lighter side), and I would like to make this sweater pattern with the same yarn. I know you said you can change hook size to make different sizes, but do you think this would still work with the Lion 24/7 cotton worsted weight yarn? Their DK weight does not come in the same color. Thanks!
This is the best vidio I have watched .It's perfect how close up and slow paced you go ,making it very easy to understand every stitch .Thank-you very much
First time making a cardi and by goodness me is your tutorial and patterns the easiest ones I have found. Have you got this pattern for 12-18 months by any chance xx
Thank you very much for the very clear step by step instructions for crocheting a baby cardigan. I am a beginner and slow learner. I just have one question. How do we adjust the number of beginning chain stitches for babies of slightly bigger size such as chest of 10.5 inches, sleeve of 6.5 inches and underarm to hem of 7 inches. Or do we always start with 57 stitches in the foundation chain? Thanks again for your tutorial especially for the very beginners.
Your video and cardigans are beautiful. The yarn I would like to use is a medium weight yarn and I would like to make for about 6-9 months. Do you think if I used the 5ml hook I would accomplish the approximate size? Thank you for your beautiful work
I agree that you are very clear. I have the problem that I followed you row by row but mine did not turn out right and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Are you able to help me if I send a photo please ?
Hello I have made one using this pattern it turn out amazing . Now I need to make it for 12-18 months and a 3 years old . I wish if I could find a pattern for that size
Hi Maisi and Ruth. Beautiful pattern will definitely attempt this beauty. Very nicely explained and simple to follow with your guidance. Thank you and lots of love from South Africa. ❤❤❤ 0:020:020:02
I’ve just completed this cardigan and I love it. I just wondered what the chain difference would be for a 6-9 month cardigan or if you had a pattern for that size?
What a wonderful tutorial Amanda! It was so clear and easy to follow. This cardigan will be a perfect accessory to my God daughters baptism dress. I have subscribed and followed you on IG. Thanks again!
Hi thank you for your wonderful instructions. I am doing the 3-6 month size. By row 11 my piece masures 3" so I guess I need to work another ½ " with increasing rows on the same principle. How will this affect the arm hole sizes and what should I do to adapt the pattern? Many thanks.
Maisie !! I love your crochet and knitting work but you should mention the number of the knitting needles for making kids pattern in knitting work thanks Dr Razia from Phoenix USA

This was very helpful. What would I have to change in order to make it fit a 1year old. Like do I increase the number of chains or something?
Thank you SO much for your detailed instructions! This is the first sweater that I crocheted and am able to follower your instructions, very appreciated!
How adorable ! The whole set! So darn cute !
Awe thank you so much, Jo! 🥰❤️
I agree. You are the best tutor!!!!
Your instructions are very easy to understand especially for us , the beginners.!!!!
Aww thank you very much! 🥰That's so great to hear! ❤️❤️
Lovely clear tutorial thankyou. Just finished the cardigan and hat for my first grandson due April. Thankyou x
Congratulations on your soon-to-be first grandson, Cheryl! 😘 I'm so pleased that you enjoyed making the little cardigan and hat! 💝
@@MaisieandRuth aww thankyou x
Such an easy video to watch. Love the gentle music playing too. I'm a lefty and find this easy to follow. Thank you
Great tutorial but check the slant on the left side yoke at 34:28 It looks odd. I think it's because the increase was only made on even rows with the last stitch of those rows having the 2 DC at the end
Loving making this. I'm making new born, could you tell me what size buttons to get please?
So cute, can I use a 5ply yarn to do this?
Hello. I wanted to thank you for sharing your experiences and talents so that we can use them. Thank you for the fact that I learned many things from you and I love you very much🤍🫧

This is such a wonderful pattern to crochet and your instructions are clear and well paced. I just finished making one for my new grand boy due in July. I added a bit of striping on the sleeves and skirt as well as little hearts across the front. I’m so pleased. I wish I could post a picture!
I love your videos! Is it possible to make larger sizes?
Love this little cardigan ❤
Simply elegant little cardigan for a special little girl 👧. Thank you so very much for this clear, crisp and clever little darling project. Keep ‘em coming please!!
Thank you, Lorraine! 🥰 Yes, will do! 👍

Thanks!
Hi this is adorable what if you just wanna do single crochet for the whole sweater
This is beautiful ❤
Can I use the same yarn for blankets as the cardigan so I can have a matching set
This is the best vidio I have watched .It's perfect how close up and slow paced you go ,making it very easy to understand every stitch .Thank-you very much
You're very welcome, Sharon! 💝 I'm so pleased that you enjoyed this tutorial and found it easy to follow! 🥰
First time making a cardi and by goodness me is your tutorial and patterns the easiest ones I have found.
Have you got this pattern for 12-18 months by any chance xx
The tutorial was great, well explained. I completed the cardigan and the beanie in blue patons wool. Thank you so much
Thank you so much! 🥰 That sounds lovely! Glad you enjoyed the tutorials 💝
Thank you so much, such a wonderful little jacket and clear instructions ❤
Your video and cardigans are beautiful. The yarn I would like to use is a medium weight yarn and I would like to make for about 6-9 months.
Do you think if I used the 5ml hook I would accomplish the approximate size?
Thank you for your beautiful work
I agree that you are very clear. I have the problem that I followed you row by row but mine did not turn out right and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Are you able to help me if I send a photo please ?
Hello I have made one using this pattern it turn out amazing . Now I need to make it for 12-18 months and a 3 years old . I wish if I could find a pattern for that size
if i wanted to do this for 6-9 and 9-12 would i just up the hook size? or would i need a different pattern all together?
This is such a great tutorial. If I make it for 3-6 months size using a 5 mm hook, will I have enough wool if I only have one 100 g ball?
What about for babies of aged 1 year? How do I increase the size?
Hi Maisi and Ruth. Beautiful pattern will definitely attempt this beauty. Very nicely explained and simple to follow with your guidance. Thank you and lots of love from South Africa. ❤❤❤ 0:02 0:02 0:02
Awe you're so very welcome! 😘 Have a great day and happy crocheting! 💝
I’ve just completed this cardigan and I love it. I just wondered what the chain difference would be for a 6-9 month cardigan or if you had a pattern for that size?
Would using a slightly larger hook size change the size of the finished piece much? I only have a 5.5 mm & larger on hand.
Can I use a size 1 super fine yarn for this??
Is there a video for the matching hat? I love your video!!
Thank you! 🥰 Yes! Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/zWWV8m7n1RE/v-deo.htmlsi=4Z_qFDPuFBUGPRJj Enjoy! 💕

In row 12 at the end do we skip a stitch at the end?
What a wonderful tutorial Amanda! It was so clear and easy to follow. This cardigan will be a perfect accessory to my God daughters baptism dress. I have subscribed and followed you on IG. Thanks again!
Thank you so much, Kimberley! 🤗 I really appreciate your support 💝
