Thank you so much! I’m 82 and years ago I had done so many of these little jackets that I had the pattern memorised but it had left my memory box and I’d been searching for it for a while. Thanks to you there are now 2 sets complete ready for my great granddaughter when she arrives. X❤️😍
I can't wait to start this cardigan, it's perfect to match the baby blanket I'm currently working on. The set plus beanie and booties, are a gift for my niece. She's expecting a boy in May, that's my birth month too, so he is going to be very special to us all.
This looks just like the little baby sweaters my grandmother made for me when my first daughter was born - I've been searching for this pattern! Thank you!!
Me too! I’m 82 and used to make these from the pattern i had memorised! Long since forgotten and been looking for the pattern for ages. I’ve now done 2 in 2 days for my expected gt granddaughter ❤️
The baby sweater was worn at my grandson Leo's Baptism....we weren't there but it was beautiful to see him at 12 days old wearing something I crocheted! Thank you again....I will be starting one soon for an unborn granddaughter due in August!
I've only been crocheting for 2 months and am extremely happy to have made this and the matching hat. They came out perfect due to your easy to follow tutorial. Thank you so much x
This is such an easy to follow tutorial. I used this to make my first baby cardigan and it was completely successful thanks to this tutorial even though I am an absolute beginner. Thank you so much!
I am finishing my first ever baby sweater! Next a little hat and then it goes in the mail today to my daughter expecting her 3rd baby any day! I can't visit as she is in the US and I am in Canada, so this sweater is my way of sending my love to them! Thank you so much for being my crochet Coach!
This is just like the little baby jackets my nan used to chrochet i have been wanting to lear this your tutorial is just amazing,i tried another one and had to frog the lot thank you so much,i will make the buttons i seen on one off your other videos i think it was a cable cowl you are a very clever lady x
Thank you for sharing this beautiful pattern with everyone I have just completed making this and enjoyed every minute of it I am now going to make your mitts and bootees, again many thanks, take care and stay well.
Ok, I started it again, I LOVE IT !! Although so far, it looks a bit different than your finished project. One side is crossing over the other, l love it !!
Thank you for this lovely tutorial so well explained and easy to follow - I can’t stop making them now I’m on my 5th, never tried baby cardigans before love it 🥰 thank you
I’m a total beginner and you’ve made this (quite) easy to follow. Thank you, I’m soooo pleased with my 1st attempt. My granddaughter will look beautiful in this when she arrives in February 🥰
Fantastic tutorial, made several for my baby grandson. They are gorgeous. Ending up making so many more for friends and family. So well explained and easy to follow. 🥰
My 1st increase of 58 has worked out right, but for some reason I can not get 77 stitches in my next increase, In the next increase row, I chained 3, a single DC in the next stitch, then 2 DC in the same stitch and so on but its short by 4 stitches what am I doing wrong ? Thank you.
Made this beautiful baby cardigan. Stayed up all night to finish it. So cute. Adding peal like buttons to mine. Made it in a soft blue color. It will be perfect for any newborn. I used a 4 weight yarn and G hook (4.25mm). Used less than 380 yards / 347 m. Of yarn.
Maybe you can help me? I've started this pattern twice. Following the instructions exactly, but I'm always short on the stitches. Eg the second increase row says should be 77 stitches, i only have 74? I'd appreciate and help you can give? Carol x
Tku so much for the lovely baby cardigan, have made about 6 of them and making more, wonderful, but would like to have for an adult size, please post that for me , luv u , stay blessed 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💐💐🥰🥰

What size did the sweater turn out to be ? How old is the baby Thank you for any help you can give me I wanna make one for my granddaughter she’s being christened in April and she’s gonna be eight months old and I wanna make it for a 12 month old baby so it will fit her for a while Thank you for any help you can give me it’s a beautiful sweater I love the pattern

You explain so well, I am a beginner ( self taught via youtube) and will be making this for my granddaughter. Do you have a video for a matching hat at all? Thank you so much for sharing can't wait to get started 🥰
Love this stitch. But could you please tell me what each row is please. I get confused with the repeat twice over. So its chain,1st row is double in next row, 2nd miss 3 an double in 4th stitch, 3rd ?. Whats the next rows please.
Hi I did chain then the double crochet but counting the change 3 I have 48 is that right??? Fo I count the chain 3 as a stitch or not. Thankyou lovely work x
Is it okay to give a sweater with shells to a newborn baby boy? This is a sweet sweater! Also, any suggestions to crochet it in a preemie size? Thank you! 👶🏻
Very pretty cardigan. I'm going to do it to my grandchild. Please can you let me know how many stitches I need to make it with a hook number 3.Thank you so much.
great video! curious if anyone else has a big gap at the armpit where you did the standing half double and sl st the row together? I will probably just sew it up but just wandering if it was supposed to be that way or if I did it too loosely or wrong.
It could be that you did your stitch a bit loose but you can easy remedy by stitching it closer together, leave a long tail of yarn as you start the sleeve :)
I'm a newbie crocheter, but my new granddaughter was born less than 6lb and all her cardigans are too big. I made this in 1 day! So simple and the perfect size! Now I'm trying to wriggle the numbers to make one for myself 😂
Thank you for this tutorial for the lovely little jacket. I have somehow ended up with gaping holes under the arm. Can you give me any advice how to avoid this please? Thank you
I just love this pattern ! I’m going to have my first great grandchild in July and would love to make this as anew born to 3months. Could you please guid me into making this beautiful cardigan for a newborn ? Thank you
Hi I’m just wondering what is the finished length of this cardigan.. mine looks a bit small.. as a beginner i found this really easy to follow .. thanks very much
After the row 2 (increase row) you should have 58 sts, after row 4 (inc row) you should have 77 and after the last increase row 6, you will have 102 stitches.

How much wool/skeins did you use?
I’m wondering if you had any problem with the count on the increase rows on the yoke?
Usually one x 100g ball of yarn is enough
The stitch count for each inc row is in the description now 😀
How much wool will I require for this project
Thank you for you lovely tutorial on this wee cardigan you are so good at explaining. Thanks again x

Finally got it thankyou. Easy once it clicked x
Hello, could you please tell me how many stitches the foundation chain needs to be to crochet a cardigan for 12 and 18 months-old?
Hi I did chain then the double crochet but counting the change 3 I have 48 is that right??? Fo I count the chain 3 as a stitch or not. Thankyou lovely work x
Is it okay to give a sweater with shells to a newborn baby boy? This is a sweet sweater! Also, any suggestions to crochet it in a preemie size? Thank you! 👶🏻
I have made this a few times in blue for a boy, also made for boys in white
Thank you for this lovely video I’ve now made several, please can you let me know how many stitches I’d need to make bigger sizes ....thank you
I have only made this one as a newborn size, but made it larger by going up hook sizes and using thicker yarn
Love this pattern. I would like to make it 6-9 months, can anyone advise how to do that please. Thank you
I can't wait to get started on one Thankyou keep safe
I’m wondering if you had any problem with the count on the increase rows on the yoke?
@@lynnfraser3054 I have now made 8 of these in different colours, each row worked out fine, which row are you getting wrong?
There is a bit in the descriptiion under the video explaining how many stitches you will have after the inc rows
Very pretty cardigan. I'm going to do it to my grandchild. Please can you let me know how many stitches I need to make it with a hook number 3.Thank you so much.
Pretty design Thankyou for sharing.
Thank you! Cheers!
Love your cardigan tutorial. I certainly will be making some of these. Do you have any written pattern instructions available?
Amazing work. I want to try to make it for my daughter who is 6, but wears size 8. Suggestions on measurements? Please 🥺
great video! curious if anyone else has a big gap at the armpit where you did the standing half double and sl st the row together? I will probably just sew it up but just wandering if it was supposed to be that way or if I did it too loosely or wrong.
It could be that you did your stitch a bit loose but you can easy remedy by stitching it closer together, leave a long tail of yarn as you start the sleeve :)
I had the same issue, just improvised and sewed it up a little x
I'm a newbie crocheter, but my new granddaughter was born less than 6lb and all her cardigans are too big. I made this in 1 day! So simple and the perfect size! Now I'm trying to wriggle the numbers to make one for myself 😂
Great job!
Thank you for this tutorial for the lovely little jacket. I have somehow ended up with gaping holes under the arm. Can you give me any advice how to avoid this please? Thank you
If this happens you can just catch it closed with a stitch
I just love this pattern ! I’m going to have my first great grandchild in July and would love to make this as anew born to 3months. Could you please guid me into making this beautiful cardigan for a newborn ?
Thank you
Hi I would you please give guidance to nake this beautiful cardigan for 1 year old. Thankyou xx
Am just new to crocheting a have made blanket s but never a cardigan so wish me luck😊
Fabulously explained 💛😊💛
Hi I’m just wondering what is the finished length of this cardigan.. mine looks a bit small.. as a beginner i found this really easy to follow .. thanks very much
You can add extra rows if you prefer a longer version 🙂
Have many chain I have to start with to have a 3-6 mos, 6-9 mosand a 9-12 mos? Thanks
je to krásne ja som to robila prvý krát a sa mi to podarilo Ďakujem😍🤩👍
Made mine, thank you!
Looks soo pretty ty
Thank you. I love it.
I think somehow I keep going wrong because on the second row I end up with the increase stitch then 4 double stitches not 3 double stitches?
After the row 2 (increase row) you should have 58 sts, after row 4 (inc row) you should have 77 and after the last increase row 6, you will have 102 stitches.
Do you add a row of SC after the last increase row ? My numbers don't seem to be adding up but every row is the same as yours can't figure it out
No, just follow the instructions on the video it will work out :)
This is my favourite
Il tutorial non si può avere in italiano, grazie
I love this pattern and have used it every time my friends little girl has got bigger but now my friend is asking for age 2 how do I make it bigger
