I have all my target marks bound to the number pad, and the RGB lights match the colors of the marks for each key. (lol razer) having a RGB can be really useful if you program the lights, like setting colors for cooldowns.
no matter what you do its impssible to kepp all mobs on you and for 4+mobs, you just run around like a headless chicken, warrirs and feral druids dont have the tools to keep mobs on you if dps just pump aoe, you need them to use their tools and a good healer to keep everyone alive.
Right. Some of my heroic Shattered Halls groups go well and others definitely don't. I tank it the same. Wish I knew for sure why some groups do well and others don't so I could tell everyone what they're doing wrong. I've had things go well with 3 mellee dps and no CC and full range DPS groups with cc fail.
Another prot warrior here :) Whats your opinion on DST? I'm generally the guy who lets his dps go first on such items, but lately I've encountered some threat problems and I'm thinking atm, that DST could maybe fix it to some degree.
Just looking at the frost mage kiting all the mobs for the bear in that video. It's so nice when you get a good frost mage to make things easier. I'm lucky if the mages in my groups know how to cast sheep properly. (edit) I'm rolling a paladin after playing a Bear throughout classic. Although most runs go pretty well Shattered Halls makes me nervous as hell and I'm getting tired of it.
marking primary target with skull almost never works. people are so used to pala tanks they just go full on aoe burst before tank even reaches the target, and more likely than not in my experience skull dies close to last lol.
i made another comment but i gota say more. like every clip in this video your "druid" is losing threat to DPS. every single one and its making me mad inside
The point of the video was show the most difficult pulls in heroic dungeons with 4+ mobs in the tier 4 era. The whole idea is that this is a difficult endeavor for druids and warriors so yeah you’re gonna see some challenges.
This is exactly how I've approached tanking in tbc. really cool to see the same thoughts come out into a video.
Just a tip. In the keybinds menu theres a spot for targeting and all of the raid icons are in there. No need for the macro with Lua to mark targets

This was a big help to me!

"video about threat as warrior/druid but first time thing i see is a Paladin dying cuz you cant hold aggro. OMEGALUL
No point in holding threat on mobs not hitting their primary target. The whole point of triage is to hold what is threatening dps.
