I found myself lagging behind for about 3000 rep. I wonder if I did smth wrong but can't understand what exactly

Sethekk Halls doesnt give rep over honored, so have to farm the rep till revered another way ps; amazing guide, knocking like 3 birds with 1 stone while lvling, actually made the lvling part enjoyable for me. thanks a lot!
I'm following the guide for the most part. The only thing I have noticed is that I'm not under leveled, but over leveled. It's probably rest XP, as I have to sleep and work in between sessions.
Same, I’m about level 68 and a half at the beginning of step 7. Not that more xp is a bad thing, it just means going back to areas to farm rep will be easier I guess. I think it was because after I did the dungeon farms for a zone I would finish every quest in that zone as well, even if it didn’t award rep.
me too, im 65 before even choosing aldor or scyer... and i didnt get even close revered at cenarion exp, cant find anymore quests, and didnt turn any in before honored
So I came to the realization that when you say "do the zone quests with thrallmar/cenarion/etc rep" That doesnt mean the whole zone. 1/4 of Hellfire Peninsulas quests went to Silvermoon Rep and 1/2 or more of Zangarmarsh went to trolls. By doing everything you actually over lvl. Felt nice to finish in a completionist sense tho haha
There’s a lot of comparisons to the Dungeon Farm strategy vs this strategy that I am reading, and I think both are perfectly viable options so level with whichever strategy you enjoy more. Both strategies have their pros & cons which I think are as follows: Level for Rep (this guide): Pros - Maximized Rep Gain, Revered with most Factions at 70, Less Rep Grind to Exalted, Access to great gear and recipes earlier. Con - Slower leveling process, Less Gold from quests completed early. Dungeon Farm Strat: Pros - Fastest leveling option, Good gold earning potential with quests done at max level, Can’t be Ganked in an instance. Cons - Longer Rep Grind at 70, Limited access to Heroics at 70, Limited access to powerful Faction gear and recipes at 70. There may be more pros and cons, but these are what come to mind first. The important thing is you do what is fun for you.
I believe you'd be losing out a lot more rep with pure dungeon farm than most people think. I tested this on the Beta and at level 70 the quests in Hellfire, Zangarmarsh and Terokkar will only give you 10% rep (25 per quest instead of 250). This could happen before level 70, I wasn't able to test this precisely. Still, it's important to complete these quests while levelling.
@@Quplas There are a lot of good blue gear drops to get from the dungeons and a bit from rep vendors. That won't cover all gear slots for a long time, but green boe's from dungeons might help. Should be doable. Can also get some help from some classic consumables such as wizard oils, sharpening stones and Demonic/ Dark Runes.
As someone who has no plans to dungeon grind but does want to try out dungeons at lower level, this is the prefect middle ground for me since it helps out with the grind in the long run, not just early on.
Agree this is a really nice hybrid guide - I've seen a few of these now and this is the first one I'm actually bookmarking. I expect to do dungeons as much as I can, but I'll be coming and going and it's nice to have something speak to the blend of soloable content as well for times I don't have a group or am not confident I have enough time for a dungeon.
Very well organized. I'm going to cash the ~20 high level quests I have banked and finish off a number of lvl60 quests I have mapped out since I expect the day they open the Dark Portal to be virtually unplayable. I will then head into the Hellfire dungeons a day or two later. I figure being level 62-ish will help with groups, will make completing quests a little easier if I'm 1-2 levels above them, and will ultimately help speed up the rep grind/leveling process. Will definitely have your guide open on my second screen.

Starting with step 8 it gets hard to follow the guide because you will be 2-3 levels ahead of what he thinks you are and the entire step 8 itself doesn't work because there were changes to Sethekk, but step 9 doing some quest to reach the needed last rep for cenario was a good tip and gave me the last 2k I needed
Im not sure if I am correct to say this, but I found this guide so helpful that I wanted to comment my experience as a discussion point. I found alot more success trying to find Mana Tombs groups than AC due to being roughly level 63 when starting these grinds. Think everything works out, I know you get less rep at 70 due to quests being gray, but you kept everything within the right level, from what I can tell, great job!
Heads up if ur folowing the list on the thrallmar sheet Icosiol made "tome" from the ghost to give the quest will not drop if you dont have the quest 'Make them listen' active.
I found it better to quest until 70 and then do Steamvault, Shattered Halls and Shadow Labyrinth to get revered. Dungeon spamming isn't fun imo and in the ones I said the rep is in the 1,5k~ region while in Blood Furnace, Slave Pens and AC the rep is around 400-600 at most. Leveling to 70 also opened up a bunch of dungeon quests to get even more rep.
At 3:28 he meant to say Honor Hold / Thrallmar quests. Wait to do the Cenarion Expedition quests in hellfire located at the far west until after you’re honored with them through slave pens and underbog runs.
Same man. My guild is doing this shit and it just seems like a full on sweaty play style. People want tbc classic and no changes but meta game like this. Nah I’ll play it like I did back in the day thanks.
You want to do shattar rep before scryer/aldor, as the hand ins provide 50% rep to shattar. Also, doing Auchenai as a tank at 63/64 when the mobs are 67 is not going to go well.

Hey I'm sorry but I don't quite understand this video at first glance, Am I supposed to farm beads/feathers/whathaveyou ontop of the dungeon runs? As to reach revered? Isn't questing a better option for this grind?
How much would you adjust to move ALL quests to post-70? My plan was to do dungeon rep to honored in Hellfire, then move to Cenarion, then the next, etc. leaving all skipped quests until at 70 to get the extra gold. Is that reasonable without needing to slog through extra dungeon runs? I have some math to do, but basically looking for how much total XP is required 60-70, how much XP is possible from dungeons, and (if just grinding to honored) what excess are we looking at. That may be my day today, lol! Love the guide - sharing with my guild, and expect most of us will follow this rough path.
Thank you for sharing with your guild. That helps a lot, so thank you very much. To answer your question, just running dungeons to 70 is perfectly viable and is a faster route to 70 if that’s your goal, but for some Factions you will miss out on some Rep which leaves a longer grind at 70. Cenarion Expedition and Aldor/Scryer immediately comes to mind. The dungeon farm to 70 is also very specific to which dungeons to farm, and different than this guide since XP gain is the goal rather than Rep. Both strategies have their pros and cons, so as long as you’re having fun I don’t think it matters which leveling strategy you use.
@@Icosiol I agree, and I guess need to look more closely at things. Personally don’t care about hitting 70, and rep maximization is definitely my goal. Wondering about tweaking the pathing to also maximize more quests after 70 purely for the gold, though. I love this time we get to plan and speculate. Next we find how well we can execute, or how smoothbrained we become, haha! Thanks man, keep it up!
One of the downfalls of keeping quests till the end is if they’re gray quests your Rep earned may be less. I can’t confirm if that’s how it will be, but some folks have brought that up. I just can’t verify it.
I've been using this guide to level religiously, but I feel that I'm still very much overleveling even when I skip all the quests not related to outlands rep. I'm at 65 levels now and only just finished cenarion expedition quests in zangar, hfp and terokkar and the problem is trying to get dungeon group spams and I think I have to do both mana tombs and auchenai crypts at the same time too since I'm at that level range. Then I'm skipping so many outdoor quests that I might miss useful pieces of gear too. I should probably get an addon for checking gear upgrades.
My XP calculations were unfortunately way off and we are gaining far more XP than I had anticipated. Don’t follow this guide religiously. Use it to help with the factions that are important to you and go from there. Expect an update to this guide soon.
nice video! I'm just getting back into the game and have some leveling to do. Question; is this still the optimal way to do things, or did phase 4 make the reputation path less important to optimize?
Hey there, the video is really nice. Have you ever thought of making this into an in-game addon like zygors or something like that? I'd give my lunch money for it.
This was a good guide, but the xp gains weren't that accurate. I was outleveling the guide the whole time and reached 70 way sooner. Still a great guide, regardless.
As somebody who was thinking about doing classic TBC, This video solidified why I shouldn't lol. I had no idea you had to farm that many wraps just to play the game
It isn't really a race unless you're trying to be on the cutting edge of progression. It is fine to play at your own pace. The game will naturally steer you towards activities that increase the most important reps you need, and you'll get a good chunk of what you need before you realize it's time to grind. Revered isn't all that bad honestly.
Thanks for the thorough guide. (I'm following it as we speak). One thing tho. I'm done with the CE and I'm 3000 from revered, I haven't gotten any coilfang to hand in or uncatalogued species. I'm I the only one?
Okay, that makes sense then. If you farmed or bought enough to turn in the quest 36 times you would only get 6-8 Uncatalogued Species worth 500 Rep per turn in.
this guide is insanely under-rated. thank you for putting so much effort into it!

Amazing guide Ico..i recomended you to all my friends!
You sound like the human narrator from wc2, amazing
I was gonna say the guy from those "How it's Made" shows
damn, true af
I'd love to a see guide like this for WOTLK! :))
Unfortunately I will not be playing WotLK mainly because I hated that expansion. I will be moving on to other things soon, so expect different content going forward. I am glad you liked this video though, and letting me know. I do really appreciate it.
thank you I had no idea on how I was going to level now I do you are awesome
Just finished making this into a written guide, let me know if anyone sees any mistakes or anything I can add in! docs.google.com/document/u/1/d/1JjBqdwOlyLe4cp7zcuepbkOvUDfBtRJXeKaisYOFhlw
Think everything works out, I know you get less rep at 70 due to quests being gray, but you kept everything within the right level, from what I can tell, great job!
Rep does not change due to level. Exp does
Lovely guide and all I hear is "Now you're in the Ketchup Phase"
😂
And sarjeras instead of sargeras
Wowee! Such rep! Many XP!
Amazingly well done!
Heads up if ur folowing the list on the thrallmar sheet Icosiol made "tome" from the ghost to give the quest will not drop if you dont have the quest 'Make them listen' active.
This is fucking amazing. Like.. bro you really did your thing in this video.
You dont..... i learned this the hard way.
TBC classic is gonna be LIT! Never been so excited for a game
It will be, after about a week or two
Great guide!
The Legendary Noob-Guild of "Spätifreunde-Spandau" was here.
Thx for the Guide
Great job Sir!
1000% excellent - thank you, sir.
Can we expect a followup to the famous fishing and cooking guide any time soon?
Yes. That’s next on my list.
Awesome video.
for unidentified plant parts you should farm the fish in the lakes. very low hp and very good drop rate for the plant parts.
Great video, especially since we can agree on the "filthy alliance player" part :).
At 3:28 he meant to say Honor Hold / Thrallmar quests. Wait to do the Cenarion Expedition quests in hellfire located at the far west until after you’re honored with them through slave pens and underbog runs.
yea im just going to play the game and get it eventually
Same man. My guild is doing this shit and it just seems like a full on sweaty play style. People want tbc classic and no changes but meta game like this. Nah I’ll play it like I did back in the day thanks.
Sweet! Thanks bro!
There's a lot more to Burning Crusade than racing to 70 in full T3 and getting into Karazhan in the first week.
Good thing this is not a racing guide. 😁
You want to do shattar rep before scryer/aldor, as the hand ins provide 50% rep to shattar. Also, doing Auchenai as a tank at 63/64 when the mobs are 67 is not going to go well.
can you turn this into a pdf so i can check it off while i do it?
There is a spreadsheet online which is what this person stole and is trying to pawn off as his own guide
@@williamzeus8669 got a link?
@@williamzeus8669 Can you link it plz
@@williamzeus8669 I am still waiting on that link too.
@@Icosiol docs.google.com/document/d/1JjBqdwOlyLe4cp7zcuepbkOvUDfBtRJXeKaisYOFhlw/edit **Edit - This is a great transcribed follow along with this video. @Icosiol personally provided this link to me but I didn't see it in the description so I added it here.
@Icosiol would you mind adding this to the bottom of your Description. It would immensely help out to use in groups as we level in TBC. Thank you so much for this video and guide!
Gonna give this a shot. But I feel like PvP and competition for mobs at launch will make this more helpful for 2nd and 3rd characters a little later.
love it mate
Can some boss of a person make a weak aura that basically does this guide for you??
Ohdang that's an amazing idea!
fingers crossed you do an attunement guide like this next
Already got one for Dungeons and Raids.
He says Sunfury Signets but the text on the screen is the right one: [Firewing Signet] for Scryer rep.
Sounds like the common dungeon grinden to 70 sounds like a good idea. Means you'll get more gold and rep from qst afterwards.
Hey I'm sorry but I don't quite understand this video at first glance, Am I supposed to farm beads/feathers/whathaveyou ontop of the dungeon runs? As to reach revered? Isn't questing a better option for this grind?
its one or the another u choose and no questing is not better
Great video.
Super helpful
At 3:30 he said "you will complete Cenarion Expedition quests in Hellfire" - I think he meant Thrallmar/HH
I say, “complete all but the CE quests”
That's what i am trying to figure out as well what that meant as i am at this exact point
@@georgerodokanakis8470 if you’re questing for HH/Thrallmar do not do the CE quests in Hellfire. Save those for when you’re doing the CE quests.
Everything will be alright is the last quest in a 7-quest chain that includes killing a couple elites that will definitely require a group.
Several quests to complete will be group quests.
I just can’t verify it.
if you don't feel like doing shattered halls. there is the possibility of doing the daily capture tower quest for about 3 weeks
That sounds more painful than anything I presented here. 🤣
@@Icosiol never said it wasn't. just mentioned it.
Goated guide
Who tf is Sarjjjeras? :P
Probably a friend of all those Sheymans i hear about from other creators.
XD
It’s not important anymore. This is really only if you want to maximize your Rep on a fresh TBC server; which we won’t ever see again sadly.
Hey there, the video is really nice. Have you ever thought of making this into an in-game addon like zygors or something like that? I'd give my lunch money for it.
This would be gold! Something like the attune addon but with this information👌
the unidentified plant parts on my server were CHEAP AS HELL because people don't understand how valuable they are. got honoured with less than 100 g
People know, there is just a lot of plant parts floating around.
Great guide. . Thanks
thank you king
This was a good guide, but the xp gains weren't that accurate. I was outleveling the guide the whole time and reached 70 way sooner. Still a great guide, regardless.
well rested xp cannot be taken into account can it.
@@drumnbassdan Even with 0 rested xp you vastly outpace the guide and it's been acknowledge by the author himself.
Revered isn't all that bad honestly.
thank you for this no wonder tbc private servers were dead but this is bettr on live probably
Thanks for the thorough guide. (I'm following it as we speak). One thing tho. I'm done with the CE and I'm 3000 from revered, I haven't gotten any coilfang to hand in or uncatalogued species. I'm I the only one?
Did the CE quests in Zangarmarsh, terrokar + hellfire #
@@Theundead1987 Did you farm for the Unitdentifed Plant Parts, or did you do the Dungeon runs to get to Honored with CE?
I did the dungeon runs, might just been unlucky with the drops 😊
Okay, that makes sense then. If you farmed or bought enough to turn in the quest 36 times you would only get 6-8 Uncatalogued Species worth 500 Rep per turn in.
