Great demo! I bought this stripper to use on a metal patio furniture set with 5 coats of paint. Grrr, the 1st time I applied, I missed the part of applying only in one direction, sooo, I’ve been sanding and thanks to your tutorial( even though it’s not outdoor metal furniture) it really has helped me, soooo, tomorrow I will be applying in one direction and see what happens. Thank you.
Going to try this on my f150 wheel clearcoat that is cracking, then polish em up and wax. I tried brake fluid probably would work if I had more patience. The stuff I am buying is the same product but gel.
@@3Wheels1Block I will report back. The other option I heard is very good is JASCO Premium paint and epoxy remover. It is twice the price. 2 minute is more acetone based.
I have not tried the Ultimate yet, I had this video done before you had mentioned it, I just had to find it. I will try the ultimate on my next paint stripping project. This product cost about 1/3 what the Ultimate Klean Strip does if memory serves me correctly.
The better method is not to use plastic and to keep resetting the stripper with a brush when it drys. Thinner coats but multiple times until it peels up because it takes time for the chemicals to penetrate the paint layers. Works much better and you get right down to the metal first time. And no it doesnt require more stripper because the thin coats use less per coat
I've done several reviews of 'new' strippers. This one is effective, it takes 2-20 minutes. I used the new aircraft stripper on a Camaro (there is a video) it was on a panel with the same paint for (26 hours) it didn't do anything. 😆 The old formula would have stripped all the paint to bare metal in 20-30 minutes.
Nice video buddy.. I recently sprayed can paint on my car top roof and I want want to wipe off the can spray paint but I don't want the original paint to be affected..can I use this paint removal?
Great question! I would not recommend this product, it will remove all your paint. In your case you could look at lacquer thinner, oops, paint thinner or wet sanding off the spray paint with 1500-2000 grit sandpaper.
You need to use a clay bar kit. This is what it's designed to do (remove paint overspray, without harming the car's paint underneath.) I used Maguire's and I loved it, but there are other brands, too.
I think you have confused this with the new 'safer' version of aircraft remover. 😅 That stuff takes forever. This product worked pretty good, I was surprised.
I think I will stick with the methylene chloride. It took way more than 5 minutes to activate you left for an hour. Then, you had to apply it a second time. That whole hood would be done fifteen minutes if you use methylene chloride. Also, the areas that did not bubble up are the areas that had better adhesion promotion. But you can call EAH. San Antonio, Texas $75 a gallon. That will be gone 15 minutes or less.
Citri-strip is decent. The Aircraft Ultra Remover is decent, it can't touch the old formula. But it you really want to get down, get you some Back To Nature, that stuff will strip off Bondo😂
They don't make stripper like they used to, however this one works much faster than others on the market currently. I miss the old formula of aircraft stripper, but it is no longer available 😑
"it does a good job" Ah, NO it does not. How can you even say that based on the results. Aircraft paint remover is better, but still non of these are what I'd say is great.
Compared to the new Non-methyl-chloride aircraft stripper this works very good. Granted it does take longer to penetrate depending on the layers and/or types of paint or finishes that it is applied over. The ultimate product I found is 'back to nature' stripper it pulls off all layers paint and even body filler down to bare metal.

Awesome 😎 I am glad it helped!
Thanks for the review. I just did a quick Amazon search and they have this in the gel formula. Maybe that would help on vertical panels.
You're welcome, I will have to check out the gel formula, thank you for letting me know.
That rust colored primer GM used is tough stuff to strip
You are correct, that is some tough stuff even with 60 grit sandpaper 😅
Going to try this on my f150 wheel clearcoat that is cracking, then polish em up and wax. I tried brake fluid probably would work if I had more patience. The stuff I am buying is the same product but gel.

@@alb12345672 I am curious to see what your results are 👍🏾
I notice when you cake it on there it works really well
Absolutely, I think more concentration helps
Thanks I will keep this one in mind. No luck with the Ultimate?

Is all that underneath paint rust ?
It's a combination of older laquer primer and rust 😅

Hope you some good reviews. I personally would not waste my time on it!

How much and where can I purchase that paint remover?
This is available at most hardware stores for about $15-18.

What is used to neutralize this?
I used lacquer thinner and prepped it with 120 grit paper, then began the priming process.
@@3Wheels1Block thx!
@413x398 you bet 😎
2Minute?!? That’s more like TWO DAYS!
I think you have confused this with the new 'safer' version of aircraft remover. 😅

Every since paint removers have been methylene free, they don't work near as good ..
I agree, there are only a couple that work really well, but they are no longer on store shelves with the exception of this one.
Looks good as Air craft paint stripper if not BEtter
It definitely works better than the new formula of the aircraft stripper.

I agree, we recently got that formula back, as it was gone. Unfortunately it cost 3 times as much now 😔
Junk stay away. Doesent work well for me. Citri-strip or air craft remover ultra is so much better

you should of bought coopers
I'm not familiar with that one, what is it called?
@@3Wheels1Block it's just called coopers paint stripper, it's a new Zealand company. it's a way better product

How are you people impressed two minute stripper that you left on overnight and still has pain

So you had to leave it on overnight
2min to 2 hours
😂 you may have called their bluff.
Garbage, was a good product about 4-5 years ago.
Still worked great at that time I used it a couple years ago.
2-24 hours lol
You know it 😂

This crap isn’t working much on latex…….junk
I've not tried this on latex, it did a good job on oil based enamel paint.
Nope...does not or did not work as advertised..
It does a good job on urethane paint, but oil based definitely takes more than 2 minutes.
Wel for 2 min it a long time what a load of bollox and only took of 60% leave that alone
It does take a bit longer depending on how much paint it has to work through.
