@Girlie Garage, great job explaining the steps in detail along w/ all the required tools and their specs. Hope you'll continue to inspire more women to perform their own auto repairs. Best wishes.
Thank you for the great video! Also thank you for showing the tools needed and used in the video. My hybrid with 8 spark plugs was a breeze thanks to this video!
@@GirlieGarage i put it off for so long but i finally did it! And let me tell ya it took a while. Like 2 or 3 hours and a trip to autozone for a shorter spark plug socket, but I got the job done 😀 my biggest issue was an ignition coil of which the head broke off and left the boot in the cylinder. Thankfully i got it out with pliers. Again, thank you for teaching me how to change my own spark plugs :) Edit: typos
@@Nyexcellente wow! What an adventure! I hope you put copper anti-seize and torqued them correctly so they don’t break on you next time. You’re probably already getting better gas mileage! Congratulations!
Your owners manual will tell you the best one. Usually you want to purchase something that is OE (original equipment) quality or better. I personally like NGK
Great video! My sister needs her plugs replaced for sure. She would like her coil packs replaced also. What is good could pack to go along with the plug replacement? JAH
Honestly, just get the stock/OEM part number from Honda and buy the honda ones online. They are made to last (I usually don’t replace them unless one starts to go bad and then you replace all of them at the same time)
why didn't you change the coil packs with the plugs? do they have to be in a certain order.. I just bought a 09 hybrid with 197k on it.. don't think its ever been touched... i ordered new everything! it runs and drives ok, just a little shaky.
My coil packs seemed to be fine. If you are reusing them then they need to go back in the same cylinder they came out of. If you have 200k, wouldn’t hurt to freshen everything up
Thank you, I appreciate that. I do my best to be clear and concise and realize that everyone has different learning styles, so my style of teaching will work for some and not others.

So glad you found it helpful!
Best video on UA-cam for these spark plugs, thank you!
So glad you found this video helpful! I always love good news :-)
Great job hopefully the tensioner and pulley will be explained next.
Gonna do this on saturday plus the ignition coils. Thank you for this, its so hard to find videos on this specific civic model lol
Totally! Let us know how it goes and good luck (yay for 8 spark plugs on a tiny 1.3L engine)

Thanks for your informative video.
Can you please tell me which spark plug is the best for Honda civic hybrid 2007
There are so many models available. Please guide me

8 Spark Plugs on a 1.3L engine, Honda has created an ABOMINATION.
It's so that it doesn't need to use the starter. Turn the key and it's on.
Is their a specific size for the spark plug socket? The spark plugs have a 14mm Hex.
Spark plugs are usually 5/8” or 9/16” depending on the car.
Do you have a video on how to replace the valve cover gasket?
I don’t, hopefully there’s another good one on UA-cam already!
You make it look easy

Great info. If replacing coil packs are they all the same plugs and and ignition coils
Yes, they would all be the same type (as in if you’re getting new ones they could go in any cylinder)
Start by removing the engine… K swap everything! Good stuff on a hybrid. 👍🏽
😂 I’ve seen a K swapped Prius….I could feel a K swapped 8th gen hybrid!!!

Hey I thought the order of the spark plugs was left to right 4,3,2,1? Did I hear wrong?? Just making sure
Trying to find the firing order myself... Did you have any luck?
You're better at explaining it then most men lmao

That was backhanded but OK.
Do the plugs need to be gapped?
Iridium plugs should not have to be gapped but you should always check them, you never know what happens during shipping
